Abstract

This article discusses about the position of Mohammad Natsir in the dynamicof inter-religions relationship in Indonesia. Natsiris well-known as the public figure havinga great attention to the efforts for developing the life of peaceful religions in Indonesia.The efforts can be seen from his works and ideas. Natsir asks all people and leaders to usethe different religions as the potency to develop the peaceful life by having different religions.The religion Missionaries that break down the rules or government’s regulation becomesthe cause of the stress and inter-religions conflict. To create the peaceful life among thepeople with different religions, Natsir proposes the vivendimodus that consists of: thedifferent religious-people in Indonesia should live together harmonically, tolerance andappreciative each other, having priority on national development, avoiding the religionwar, and stressing on justice and religion diversity.Key Words: Mohammad Natsir; inter-religions relationship; religion diversity.Makalah ini membahas tentang posisi Mohammad Natsir dalam dinamikahubungan antaragama di Indonesia. Natsir dikenal sebagai tokoh yang memilikiperhatian besar dalam upaya membangun kehidupan keagamaan yang damai diIndonesia. Berbagai usahanya dapat dilihat dari pemikiran dan karya-karyanya. Natsirmengajak segenap pemimpin dan umat beragama memanfaatkan keragaman agamasebagai potensi untuk membangun kehidupan keagamaan yang damai. Misionarisagama-agama yang melanggar ketentuan atau peraturan pemerintah menjadi penyebabketegangan dan konflik antaragama. Untuk menciptakan kehidupan umat antaragamayang damai Natsir mengusulkan adanya modus vivendi yang meliputi: antara pemelukberagama di Indonesia supaya hidup berdampingan secara baik, saling menghargaidan toleransi, mengutamakan kepentingan pembangunan nasional, menghindariterjadinya perang agama, dan menekankan keadilan dalam keragaman beragama.Kata Kunci: Mohammad Natsir; hubungan agama-agama; Indonesia.

Abstract

In the last decade, grew many Islamic integrated elementary schools inSurakarta, supported by civil society organizations. Through an ethnographic research,it is found that transformations have been applied in five sample schools in their system,institution and values. The transformation in their system and institution begins withvision and mission being oriented toward producing excellence of alumni and benefit ofIslamic preaching those influence integrated curriculum development, interesting modelof learning, comprehensive evaluation, and professional management. Moreover, thetransformation in their values appears in promoting Islamic identity through theiricons: “internalization of Islam”, “spiritualization of education”, “Islamization ofscience”, “shariah curriculum”, and “salafi method”.Key words: transformation; vision and mission; integrated curriculum; Islamic identity icon.Dalam dekade terakhir, tumbuh banyak sekolah dasar Islam terpadu diSurakarta, yang didukung oleh organisasi masyarakat sipil. Melalui penelitian etnografi,ditemukan bahwa telah terjadi transformasi institusi dan nilai-nilai dalam lima sekolahyang dijadikan sampel. Transformasi dalam sistem dan institusi dimulai dengan visidan misi yang berorientasi untuk menghasilkan alumni unggul dan sekaligusmengembangkan dakwah Islam yang terintegrasi pengembangan kurikulum, modelpembelajaran yang menarik, evaluasi yang komprehensif, dan manajemen profesional.Selain itu, transformasi nilai mereka muncul dalam mempromosikan identitas Islammelalui ikon mereka: “internalisasi Islam”, “spiritualisasi pendidikan”, “Islamisasiilmu”, “kurikulum syariah”, dan “metode salafi”.Kata kunci: transformasi; visi dan misi; kurikulum terpadu; identitas Islam

Abstract

Entering the age of 56, UMS still need to make improvements and development inthe learning process. For the sake of improvement and development, this study was conductedin order to map the performance of UMS lecturer in lesson plan, in the implementation oflearning and in the evaluation of learning outcomes. Based on non-experimental descriptivestudy of the survey form, by questionnaire, review of documents, and FGD, the study foundthree important findings. First, UMS lecturer has a good performance in lesson planning. Second,UMS lecturer’s performance in the implementation of the learning process has not beenentirely good, because they are not using a variety of learning methods. Third, UMS lecturer’sperformance in the evaluation of learning outcomes is quite good. By the three findings abovecan be said that the performance of UMS lecturer in the learning process nearly meet the liabilitycomponent required by Law on Teachers and Lecturers in 2005 and has been referred tothe PP 19 on National Education Standards (NES) in 2005.Keywords: Lecturer’s Performance; Law on Teachers and Lecturers; the National Standards;Student Centered Learning (SCL).Abstrak: Memasuki usianya ke-56, UMS masih harus melakukan perbaikan dan pengembangandalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk kepentingan perbaikan dan pengembangan tersebut,studi ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memetakan kinerja dosen UMS dalam prencanaanpembelajaran, kinerja dosen UMS dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaraan, dan kinerja dosen UMSdalam evaluasi hasil pembelajaran. Berdasarkan studi deskriptif non-eksperimental berbentuksurvei, dengan metode angket, telaah dokumen, dan FGD, studi ini menemukan tiga temuanpenting. Pertama, dosen UMS memiliki kinerja yang baik dalam perencanaan pembelajaran.Kedua, kinerja dosen UMS dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya baik,karena belum menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang beragam. Ketiga, kinerja dosen UMSdalam evaluasi hasil pembelajaran cukup baik. Dengan tiga temuan di atas dapat dikatakanbahwa kinerja dosen UMS dalam proses pembelajaran selama ini hampir memenuhi komponenkewajiban yang diminta oleh UU Guru dan Dosen Tahun 2005 dan telah mengacukepada PP No. 19 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP) Tahun 2005.Kata kunci: Kinerja Dosen; UU Guru dan Dosen; Standar Nasional Pendidikan; StudentCentered Learning (SCL).

Abstract

Islam as ideology is agent of change. When it came to the Arabic people, theconditions of women were so pity. They never got their rights of human being but sometribes killed the daughter baby. After it came to the world, women got their duties, theywere allowed to make transaction and their right life is saved. Islam is a religion whichrules all field of human being life side. It rules the roles of man and woman and theirduties. Not only ruling the roles and duties but also the way how to practice the religion.Nowadays, feminists make confrontation ideas. They said that Islam is injustice religion.They said that women are better to pray at home and men pray at the mosques. Theydisagree that leader is only for men but they see that it is also women’s right. Theyargued that women today are so different from the past. The feminists’ idea that supportsme to conduct the study. The aims of this study is to compare the Islamic teaching andfeminists’ teaching by using Maqasid Syari’ah. The result of the study is, Islamicteachings are appropriate rules for human being but feminists’ teaching damage thesocial norms and women’s right.Key words: women, family, Islam, westSebagai sebuah ideologi, Islam merupakan agen perubahan. Ketika Islamdatang kepada orang-orang Arab, kondisi perempuan sungguh mengenaskan.Kaumperempuan tidak pernah mendapat hak-hak mereka sebagai manusia, bahkan beberapasuku membunuh bayi perempuan yang baru lahir. Dalam perkembangannya, wanitapunya tugas-tugas dan diizinkan untuk berperan dalam masyarakat serta memperolehhak-haknya. Islam adalah agama yang mengatur semua bidang kehidupan manusia.Termasuk dalam mengatur peran dan tugas-tugas kaum laki-laki dan perempuan. Tidakhanya mengatur peran dan tugas tetapi juga bagaimana cara mempraktekkan ajaranagama dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Saat ini, feminis mengusung ide-ide yangbertentangan dengan Islam, antara lainmereka mengatakan bahwa Islam adalah agamayang mengajarkan ketidakadilan, Islam membedakankesempatan wanita lebih baik untukberibadah di rumah dan laki-laki beribadah di masjid-masjid. Makalah ini berusahamembandingkan ajaran Islam dan ajaran feminis dalam masalah peran perempuandalam keluarga dengan menggunakan Maqasid Syari’ah. Abstract

The background of this research is the phenomenon of teenagers’ moral degenerate which the writer found. Considering the importance of al Qur’an for all people, it is important to implement its values as a concern especially for muslim, so the moral values in al Qur’an can be taught to the people in a good way. From this state, the writer is interested in exploring deeper about moral values in al Qur’an surah Ali Imran 159 – 160. The goals of the research are ; 1) to know the moral values in al Qur’an Surah Ali Imran 159 – 160, 2) to know how the concept of moral value in those verses, 3) to know the implication of those verses for Islamic Education in school. The research is a library research. Primier data source is al Qur’an Surah Ali Imran 159 – 160. The second data sources are book, articles or works about moral values and the implementation of moral values, considered to be true, both in sentences or content. Approaches which are used are didactic – psychology and thematic combined with qualitative analysis and are reprocessed by using deductive, inductive and comparative analysis. The result of the research show that ; 1) moral values reflected in Surah Ali Imran 159 – 160 are graceful, forgiving, solving problem by discussing it with the people, believing in Allah and believing in Allah’s help. 2) in the concept of moral education, the way Rasulullah lead his companions, he prioritizes the graceful, dissscussion, although he holds the highest authotiry. The other moral values is believing in Allah. 3) the implication of the concept of moral education according to al Qur’an Surah Ali Imran 159-160 is the concept of moral-oriented teaching.  The recommendation of this research is how the school as an education institution is able to raise moral values reflected in al Qur’an Surah Ali Imran 159-160 to the student, so they can take the lesson from the prophet’s daily life.Keywords: moral; values; implication to education.

Abstract

The paper addressed to describe and to explain jihad in nation state context.Jihad is one of the pure concept comes from Islam and not related to territorial boundaries.Jihad can be found wherever Muslims live. While the nation state is a phenomenon,which emerged since the 17th century, caused by decolonization, as well as Indonesia.Contrast to the jihad, the nation state is strongly associated with territorial boundaries.In Indonesia, jihad resonated as a power struggle for independence and also to maintainindependence. However, after Indonesia became an independent nation state, there isalso jihad struggles to break away from it, Aceh with DI/TII and GAM for example.This study aims to uncover and construct the concept of jihad in the context of a nationstate based on Aceh’s case. By using the historical method of critical analysis, thispaper used method of literature research.The results showed that: 1) Jihad is an original intent concept in the defense andestablishment of Indonesia as a nation state, establish by founding fathers. 2) Strugglingin Aceh divided into three: when fighting together with Indonesia, fight for an Islamicstate with the DI/TII, and when tried to establish the State of Aceh by GAM. 3) Theconcept of jihad in the nation states could be identified from the opponent, the mainissue, the imagined community, as well as models of state formation. Aceh when joinedIndonesia together in the early days of independence, was fight to jihad, as well as theDI / TII can still called said jihad, in contrast to GAM that regardless of the jihad forthe sake of upholding the state for the people of Aceh. And for Indonesia itself shouldrefers back to the original intent in jihad conception nowadays.Key words: The concept of Jihad, Nation State, Aceh. Jihad merupakan konsep yang murni datang dari Islam dan tidak terkaitdengan batas-batas wilayah. Jihad ada dimana umat muslim hidup. Sementara negarabangsa merupakan fenomena, yang muncul sejak abad ke-17 dan salah satunyadisebabkan oleh dekolonialisasi, seperti halnya Indonesia.Berbeda dengan jihad, negarabangsa sangat terkait dengan batas teritorial. Di Indonesia, jihad menggema sebagaikekuatan perjuangan kemerdekaan dan juga mempertahankan kemerdekaan. Namunsetelah Indonesia merdeka, muncul juga perjuangan-perjuangan jihad untuk melepaskandiri dari negara bangsa, Aceh dengan DI/TII dan GAM contohnya.Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengungkap dan mengkontruksi konsep jihad dalam konteks negarabangsa berdasarkan kasus Aceh.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan termasuk riset kepustakaan (libraryresearch).Yang menjadi bahan kajian adalah buku-buku sejarah tentang perjalananIndonesia dan Aceh yang sekaligus menjadi sumber data primer.Selain itu data jugadiperoleh dari sumber-sumber sekunder sebagai konfirmasi dan penunjangn sumberdata primer.Setelah dilakukan seleksi, data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metodehistoris analisis kritis, berupa deskripsi, pembahasan serta kritik-kritik terhadappermasalahan, sehingga bisa didapatkan penafsiran yang konfrehensip terhadap masalahyang diteliti.Hasil penelitian: 1) Konsep Jihad sudah ada sejak pembentukan dan menjelma usahapertahanan negara Indonesia. 2) Jihad di Aceh berdinamika dari berjuang bersamaIndonesia, mendirikan negara Islam dengan DI/TII, dan mendirikan negara Aceh denganGAM. 3) Konsep jihad dalam negara bangsa bisa diidentifikasi dari lawan, isu utama,komunitas terbayang yang dicita-citakan, serta model pembentukan negaranya. Acehketika bergabung berjuang bersama Indonesia di awal kemerdekaan melakukan jihad,begitu juga dengan DI/TII masih bisa dikatakan jihad, berbeda dengan GAM yangterlepas dari jihad demi menegakkan negara bagi bangsa Aceh.Kata kunci: konsep jihad, negara bangsa, Aceh.

Abstract

Islamic law had been successfully applied in Indonesia as if about to be removed from the records. Just like the government policy in the Dutch colonialists who want to portray Snouck poor Islamic law at the time. Islamic law is law considered cruel and unjust towards women. Such an understanding is also happening in the Surakarta. Society considers the current Kasunanan still prevail is customary law. Thats the background for the author to reveal in detail the history of Islamic law in Surakarta during PB IV.This esearch aims to determine the details of the implementation of Islamic law, determine the scope of application of Islamic law and to determine the factors that hinder the implementation of Islamic law in Surakarta during Pakubowono IV.The method used in this research is the analysis of qualitative Historical Method. The implementation of Islamic law in Surakarta during Pakubowono IV has been running well although there is a shortage due to several factors. The biggest factor that makes it less optimal implementation of Islamic law at the time it was because of the pressure and the Dutch intervention. The scope of application of Islamic law in Surakarta during Pakubowono IV covers almost all areas of Islamic law. Among these Islamic laws have been implemented to manage the political, criminal and civil.Factors that hinder the implementation of Islamic law in Surakarta during Pakubowono IV, among others: the Dutch intervention, lack of support and lack of indigenous political and military forces to support the establishment of Islamic law.

Abstract

This article traces and tells the story of Dzulqarnain found in the HollyQur’an, it is due to the fact that this story is still covered by a mystery and unfinishedcontroversial understanding for Moslem Scholars since from the classic to contemporary era, even in the orientalism one. This study applies a library research with the Holly Qur’an and valid hadiths are as primary sources of data while the interpretation ofMoslem Scholars toward the verses telling the story of Dzulqarnain are as the secondarydata source. This study uses empiric-normative approach and the collected data are analyzed by using hermeneutic, namely: Schleiermacher grammatical hermeneutic andtheory of Muhammad Talbi humanistic-history. The result of the research shows thatthe grammatical sequences of the verses telling Dzulqarnain story has a very beautifullanguage style, completed with language style of Majaz in which the Dzulqarnain hasgone through two long journeys; they are Western and Eastern journeys. He got thefollowers from his journeys above. Moreover, based on the humanistic-historicallyreadability; first, the sequence of verses above shows that Islam is “RahmatanLil‘Alamin”. It can be proved from the wise attitude containing full goodness without anybullying, done by Dzulqarnain. Second, the denied followers are invited to have moreawareness and to go back to the right faith by warning them dealing with the statementthat says “Allah will give a finalization to the denying followers”.Key Words: Dzhulqarnain; the Holly Qur’an; hermeneutic.Artikel ini mentelusuri dan menguak kisah Dzulqarnain di dalam al-Qur’an,karena kisah ini masih diselimuti misteri serta kontroversial berkepanjangan di tubuhulama muslim sejak zaman klasik hingga kontemporer maupun di kalangan orientalis.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research), dengan sumber data primer adalah al-Qur’an dan hadits-hadits shahih, sedangkan sumber data sekunder adalah tafsir para ulama terhadap ayat-ayat yang menceritakan kisah Dzulqarnain.Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah normatif-empiris, analisisnya dengan hermeneutik, yakni hermeneutik gramatikal Schleiermacher dan teori historis-humanistik Muhammad Talbi. Hasil penelitian adalah rangkaian gramatikal dari ayat-ayat kisah tentang Dzulqarnain sangatlah indah gaya bahasanya disertai dengan gaya bahasa majaz, di mana Dzulqarnain telah menempuh dua perjalanan panjang yaitu perjalanan ke Barat dan ke Timur serta mendapatkan pada dua perjalanan tersebut segolongan kaum/umat.Pada perjalanan ke Barat (maghrib asy-syams). Lebih lanjut jika ditilik dari pembacaan secara historis-humanistik bahwasanya rangkaian ayat-ayat di atas menunjukkan Islam sebagai rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari sikap bijak yang penuh kebaikan dan tanpa kekerasan yang ditonjolkan oleh Dzulqarnain, bahwasanya kepada umat yangingkar hendaknya diajak bertobat dan kembali kepada keimanan dengan diperingatkan akan kekufurannya bahwa Allah akan mengazab orang-orang yang ingkar.Kata Kunci: Dzhulqarnai; al-Qu’an; hermeneutika

Abstract

It is known that God revealed the Koran to the nation Muhammad’s to be evidenceand approach to their lives and their affairs and their cases daily . One of the issues that mustbe guided by the Quran is the issue of education . Because education is essential in theformation of the nation and its renaissance. The higher education repaired the nation , and sovice versa. Another element in the success of the process of education is having the teacherhas a distinct personality . Because the teacher is the one who printed his students as hewishes according to inclinations . The aim of this study and knowledge of the elements of apersonal teacher through the study of verse 151 of Sura al-Baqarah. This study pursuesresearch methodology analytical descriptive analysis of the views of the commentators towardverse 151 of Sura al-Baqarah. The analysis of the information was an interactive way togather information , analyze , and display and deduced. The results showed, that the elementsof a personal favorite teacher as indicated by the verse 151 of Sura al-Baqarah, show throughthe following things: (1) the teacher has to be extended recitation conscious; whether it is theKoran or another, including of scientific specialties (2) Accordingly, teaching book;understanding a sheen on the Koran true understanding salafus shaleh approach. Andeducation within the meaning of the book is to teach the pen with all its meanings. Thus, theteacher that his skill upgrades scientific writing because they are professional requirements.(3) wisdom education; Queen which comes with putting things in place right, and the weightof things with correct, and realize the goals of orders and directives. (4) uponrecommendation of souls in all its aspects, and whenever the teacher orthodoxy, orthodoxyhearts of the hearts of the students, (5) and it always supply the information emerging .Keywords : ingredients, personalized, teacher Allah merunkan Al-Qur`an untuk umat Islam agar dijadikan sebagai petunjukdan pedoman hidup dalam seluruh kehidupannya. Tidak terkecuali dalam pendidikan. Karenapendidikan merupakan pokok dasar dalam mencerdaskan dan membangun sebuah bangsa.Jika sebuah pendidikan itu baik, maka sebuah bangsa juga akan baik. Dan diantara unsurutama keberhasilan pendidikan adalah tersedianya pengajar yang memiliki kepribadian idial.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui unsur-unsur utama yang harus menjadikepribadian seorang pengajar dengan mengkaji ayat 151 surat al-Baqarah. Jenis penelitin inimerupakan penelitian perpustakaan, deskriptif analisis. Analisa dilakukan terhadap pendapatdan penafsiran ahli tafsir berkaitan ayat 151 surat al-Baqarah. Teknik analisa datamenggunakan model interaktif yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi, penyajian dankesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diantara kepribadian pengajar yang harusdimiliki sebagaimana diisyaratkan dalam ayat 151 surat al-Baqarah adalah sebagai berikut:(1) seorang pengajar harus memiliki becaan yang luas, baik berupa bacaan Al-Qur`an ataukeilmuan yang berkaitan dengan disiplin keilmuannya; (2) seorang pengajar harusmengajarkan Al-Qur`an sesuai dengan pemahaman para salafus-shaleh. Termasuk dalammengajarkan Al-Qur`an adalah mengajarkan tulis-menulis dengan makna yang seluasluasnya,karena itu seorang pengajar harus mampu meningkan kemampuan dalam menulisilmiah sesuai kopetensinya; (3) mengajarkan hikmah, yaitu kemampuaan untuk melakukantindakaan secara tepat sesuai dengan kondisi dan tujuan; (4) melakukan penyucian diri/jiwasecara menyeluruh, karena selama jiwa seorang pengajar itu baik, maka seluruh kejiwaanpara peserta didik juga baik; (5) pengajar harus selalu menambah dengan berbagai keilmuanyang terkini.Kata Kunci: Unsur, Karakter, Pengajar.
