Abstract

Insurance agent is an essential  element in order to  maintain the existence of the insurance companies in  thebusiness  competition.  This  study  aimed  to  investigate  the  eff ect  of   j ob  satisfaction  and  organizational  commitmenton insur ance agent tur nover intention.  This study was conducted at PT. PRUDENTIAL INDONESIA - Bali.Simple  r andom  sampling  was  used  because  of  homogeneous  population  characterist ic.  160  questionnai reswere  distributed,  and  only  155  questionnaires  were  returned  by  the  respondents.  Structural  Equation  Modeling(SEM)  using AMOS  16.0  was  used  to  test  the  research  hypothesis.  The  resul ts  of  the  study  support   all  thehypothesis  and  indicate  that  job  satisfaction has  significant  posi tive  effect  on  organizational  commi tment  so  itis  advisable  for the company to  continue improvement  of  the job satisfaction of insurance  agent s in  order  toenhance  organizational  commitment.  In  contrast,  job  satisfaction  and  organizational  commitment  consistentlyshow a negat ive and  significant  effect on  turnover intention

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui determinan karakteristik perusahaan dan struktur kepemilikan sebagai pendorong, peningkatan struktur modal, kinerja keuangan, serta nilai perusahaan pada perusahaan konsumsi di BEI. Data populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua perusahaan Konsumsi yang pada periode tahun 2009 sampai dengan tahun 2016 telah go Publik Pemilihan dan penentuan sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan tehnik purpusive sampling yaitu tehnik penarikan sampel yang dilakukan secara sengaja berdasarkan kriteria yang ditetapkan peneliti. Tepatnya Judgement Sampling, dimana sampel yang dipilih menggunakan kriteria tertentu yang harus sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Perusahaan Konsumsi merupakan perusahaan yang sangat penting. Perusahaan yang mampu membantu menggerakan ekonomi, membantu pemerintah, menciptakan banyak lapangan pekerjaan, namun bahan baku masih banyak tergantung bahan impor. Pemerintah diharapkan dapat membuat kebijakan yang dapat menjaga Makro ekonomi terutama stabilitas nilai rupiah. Melakukan perbaikan infrastruktur yang bisa berdampak efisien dalam distribusi barang dan membuka peluang konsumen baru. Kata kunci: karakteristik perusahaan, nilai perusahaan, investor

Abstract

repurchase intention through customer satisfaction and trust. Data obtained through questionnaires to 100respondents through purposive sampling for Internet users in Denpasar who have ever bought fashion productsthrough online at least twice in six months. The analysis technique used in this study is the Partial LeastSquare and for intervening variables using Sobel test and effect size. The result of this research shows thatonline fashion buying experience significantly and positively influence the online repurchase intention. Thecustomer satisfaction and trust also significantly and positively influence online repurchase intention. Thecustomer satisfaction also influences their trust positively and significantly. The customer satisfaction andtrust emerges as mediating variable of the influence of online fashion product buying experience on onlinerepurchase intention.

Abstract

This study examined capital market integration and contagion effect among ASEAN and UK capital markets. Data analysis will be divided to before the Brexit (January 2012 – 22 June 2016) and after the Brexit (24 June 2016 – December 2016). The analytical tool used is Vector Autoregressive (VAR) to analyze the integration between capital markets and Granger Causality to detect any contagion effect between capital markets. The conclusion of this research is existance of Brexit event can change the segmented ASEAN-5 region become more integrated. It’s found that the Singapore capital market is a capital market that recieves a contagion effect from the UK capital market before and after Brexit. As for the Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand’s capital markets only received contagion effects between regions, except Philippines capital market after Brexit does’t accept contagion effect from all countries.

Abstract

The research aims to investigate variables affecting Tobin’s Q which represents the value of public  companies listed on LQ45 Index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange by developing a  BLUE(Best Linear UnbiasedEstimators) econometric model for cross-sectional data of 2007, 2008, and 2009 as well as panel data. The models vary across different data but there are important findings to note. Public companies listed  on LQ45 Index have experienced overliquidity problem during the period of observation leading to a decline in firm’s value. In addition, those public companies have low financial risk so they have chance to  increase their debts especially long-term debts.

Abstract

Hotel tax is one of a local tax that has great potential to be increased as one source of local government revenue (PAD). Revenue from hotel tax in the City of Sukabumi is smaller when compared with other local taxes, so it needs strategies to increase its income revenue. This research included descriptive research type with using primary and secondary data. Analysis method used were growth and contribution ratio, effectiveness and efficiency ratio, and analytical hierarchy process. The purpose of this research were to determine the growth rate and the contribution of hotel tax to local revenue, to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of hotel tax and to determine the strategies in the implementation of revenue hotel tax. The result of this research presented on average the growth of hotel tax revenue was 13.18 %. Its contribution to local taxes averaged of 3.91 %, and contribution to local government revenue averaged of 0.47 % with category is very less, the average of effectiveness rate 107.93 % so the category was very effective and the efficiency level 5.67 % so the category highly efficient. To increase the hotel tax revenues required strategies by improving the system of management and supervision, socialization and low enforcement, tourism promotion, facilities infrastructure, and quality of human resources.

Abstract

The aims of  this study is to investigate the effect of leadership, physical work environment, and compensation on employee performance. The sample size was 91 employees of UD Terus in Bali which was determined by saturated sampling technique. Method of data gathering used was questionnaire distribution with five Likert’s Scale. Technique of analysis implemented in this study was multiple linear regression. The findings show that partially, leadership, physical work environment, and compensation has positive impact on performance. Additionally, 80.8 percent of employees performnace variation determined by leadership, physical work environment, and compensation, whereas 19.2 percent determined by other variables not considered in this study

Abstract

This study is an overview of the various ideas related to concepts and techniques of management from the industrial revolution to the modern era. In this article the various theory or thought are classified into four areas. The classification is not based on the periodicity of the year, but more to the realm of thought being developed. The four areas are (1)scientific & administrative management theory, (2)behavioral management theory, (3)quantitative management theory and (4)modern  management theory. The field thought is presented by the emergence of the field earlier than other areas of thought, though the period or era of the movement of thought one area may also appear a work that is part of another movement of thought. The results of  this literature review shows that the development of management thought started from mechanical related t hinking and productivity in manufacturing, and then progressed to studies related to nature and human behavi orand proceed to the field of relationship between human and organization systems. This study also found a lack of attention from management historians that focuses on marketing or customer orientation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh kepribadian proaktif terhadap intensi kewirausahaan mahasiswa dengan pendidikan kewirausahaan sebagai variabel moderasi. Menggunakan teknik quota sampling, diambil sampel penelitian sejumlah 200 mahasiswa pada sepuluh perguruan tinggi di Semarang. Hasil menunjukkan kepribadian proaktif secara positif dan signifikan berpengaruh terhadap intensi kewirausahaan mahasiswa. Pendidikan kewirausahaan secara signifikan juga berpengaruh terhadap intensi kewirausahaan mahasiswa, sekaligus memoderasi hubungan kepribadian proaktif dan intensi kewirausahaan mahasiswa. Temuan ini konsisten dengan teori kepribadian kewirausahaan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan bagi penyelenggara pendidikan tinggi dalam mendesain pola pendidikan kewirausahaan yang tepat dalam menumbuhkan intensi berwirausaha pada mahasiswanya.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find the relationship of employee on performance indicators to the needs of society’s demands for high-quality services. The use of performance towards work motivationand work performance. Populations of the study are 50 employees at housekeeping department at some small hotels and villa located in Sanur and Kuta. Data obtained from the questionnaire and analysismethodology is using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that employee attitude on performance indicator insignificant related to employee motivation and to work performance, work motivation is related negatively on work performance. The company should use timing of the work speed in process of performance appraisal, and the next researcher is advised to extend the number of samples to several categories of hotels.
