Abstract

RISK ANALYSIS OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT DELAY OF HOTEL IN BALIABSTRACTHotel construction projects generally have a high level of complexity compared to other building construction projects, because of the many jobs that must be integrated with each other and have a tight work schedule. All of that has the potential to cause delays in the implementation of construction projects for hotel projects in Bali. This study aims to analyze the risk of delays in implementing hotel construction projects in Bali. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with primary data sources taken through surveys using a questionnaire. Respondents were taken based on purposive sampling method which was selected based on criteria that respondents played an important role in hotel construction projects in Bali, as many as 35 respondents, which included one director, one project manager; one site manager, two supervisors; two quality control. The results showed that there were 44 risks of delays in hotel construction projects in Bali consisting of 37 major risks and 7 minor risks. Major risks included 22 undesirable risks with 36 mitigation actions, and 15 unacceptable risks (unacceptable risks) with 24 mitigation measures. Risk related to project was indicated as frequently found the source of risk. Project risk at unacceptable risk is the determination of a very tight schedule, a work plan that is not well structured and changeable, understanding the rules of work drawings, resource mobilization, unavailability of materials as needed. Risk related to project that categorized as undesirable covered: limited authority of personnel/owners in decision making, inspection methods and job control by the owner, failure of the owner to coordinate work with the contractor, inadequate provision of tools/materials by the owner, inadequate number of workers, and inadequate work equipment. Mitigation measures are emphasized on project risk and technical risk including the preparation of detailed and comprehensive planning and scheduling, attention to work documents and contracts, as well as improving coordination between relevant parties and also optimizing the accuracy of plans in carrying out the work

Abstract

The distance of Yogyakarta International Airport airport to Yogyakarta city ranges from 45 km. The train is one of the connectivity options towards the center of Yogyakarta's activities. In determining the transportation rates of people by train, it is necessary to consider the ability and willingness of train service users to pay a sum of money for the services provided. Because the value of Ability To Pay (ATP) and Willingness To Pay (WTP) affects the level of interest of service users. Questionnaire and interview methods were conducted to 130 respondents who were air transport users at Adisutjipto International Airport as a passenger approach at Yogyakarta International Airport. This study aims to determine the value of Ability To Pay (ATP) and Willingness To Pay (WTP) users of Railway services Yogyakarta - Yogyakarta International Airport. The results of the analysis show that the Ability To Pay (ATP) to Adisoetjipto airport is Rp. 3,838.33 per kilometer and is greater than the Willingness To Pay (WTP) for Yogyakarta train services to and from Yogyakarta International Airport Rp. 709 40 per kilometer. Ticket prices are set based on the average price per kilometer of an airport that has a train service amounting to a minimum of Rp 96,644.59.

Abstract

EFFECT OF COMBINED AXIAL AND BENDING LOADS AND VARYING SHAPES AND SIZES OF OPENING ON STRESS CONCENTRATION IN STEEL BEAM WITH WEB OPENINGABSTRACTResearch related to stress concentrations in perforated steel beams is usually carried out on simple beams without the influence of axial loads. In this study, modeling of 2-story steel frame structures was carried out to evaluate the effect of the combination of axial and flexural loads on the stress concentration around the opening in the steel beam. The observed opening includes square and circular opening, with and without reinforcement around the opening, with opening dimensions of 0.3 H, 0.5 H, and 0.7 H. H is the height of the beam. The types of reinforcement are All Around (AA), Long Horizontal (LH), and Doubler Plate (DP). The analysis results showed that 17% increase in beam axial force due to earthquake load, resulting in stress increase of 9% in square opening. The maximum stress around circular opening is smaller than that on the square one. The maximum stresses in the circular openings are 0.35 fy, 0.43 fy, and 0.69 fy for opening dimensions of 0.3 H, 0.5 H and 0.7 H, respectively. In the square opening, the maximum stress in 0.3 H opening is 0.57 fy, while for opening dimension of 0.5 H and 0.7 H the stresses exceeds the yield stress of the steel. Addition of AA and LH reinforcement in 0.5 H square opening, results in stresses lower than fy, whereas for the 0.7 H opening the reinforcement around the hole is ineffective.

Abstract

SUSTAINABLE URBAN SLUMS MANAGEMENTABSTRACTIndonesia’s population tends to increase with a relatively high population growth, with year-over-year growth reaching ± 1,45%. Globally, Indonesia occupies the sixth position just after Laos (2,3% per year), Phillipines (2,0% per year), Brunei Darussalam (1,9% per year), Malaysia (1,8% per year), and Cambodia (1,8% per year). If it is not followed by government policies, it has the potential to evoke negative impact, namely the increasing number of slum settlements. That is why a study is needed to manage settlements based on spatial use. In addition, building planning that is able to provide comfort and health for its users is needed. The purpose of the study is to formulate settlement management based on spatial use and building design that accomodates environmental aspects. The approach used in the study is based on the principles of sustainable developments and study documents by Direktorat Cipta Karya. Some of the principles proposed are accomodating about land use, population mobility, utilization of renewable energy, urban economics improvement, social development, and accessibility.

TRAFFIC IMPACT ANALYSIS OF BADUNG REGENCY GOVERNMENT CENTRE “MANGUPRAJA MANDALA” ON THE PERFORMANCE OF SURROUNDING ROADSABSTRACTTraffic congestion around Hanoman intersection especially during the rush hours when the employees of the Badung Regency Government Office Centre are coming to or going home from their offices has created long lines of traffic jammed cars along Sempidi Road and the Dalung-Sempidi Road. Therefore, an analysis on the performance of the road and intersections around the Badung Regency Government Office Centre is needed to be done. The aim of this study is to identify the values of Trip Generation by Badung Regency Government Office Centre, the performance of Jalan Raya Sempidi, Jalan Raya Sempidi-Dalung, and the Hanoman Intersection. The method used was based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI), 1997. The result of the analysis showed that the impact of Trip Generation by Badung Regency Government Office Centre during peak hours is 1,414 pcu/hour. Degree of Saturation on Sempidi Road increased from 0.93 to 0.97, and the Level of Service in E. Degree of Saturation on Sempidi-Dalung Road increased from 0.67 to 0.93 and the Level of service decreased from C to E. Degree of Saturation on Hanoman Intersection increased from 1.59 to 1.83 and the Intersection Delay increased from 160-109 to 229-150, and Level of Service in F. The traffic congestion in Raya Sempidi and Raya Sempidi-Dalung road are caused by the delay in Hanoman Intersection, therefore the problem in Hanoman Intersection must be solved. With the availability of land in the Northern and Southern gate of Badung Regency Government Office Centre, the solution can be in the form of establishment a U-Turn.

Abstract

ABSTRACTOne problem of the environment is the increasing amount of plastic waste especially thin plastic bag and other thin plastic packaging, therefore effort is needed to utilize those plastic waste. Within this experiment thin plastic waste was use on the production of road asphalt mixture. The aim of this experiment was: to know the effectivity of the plastic coating onto the aggregate; the properties of the aggregate coated with thin waste plastic; and the Marshall characteristic of HRS-WC. Waste thin plastic waste was manually cut with size: <10mm and 10-20mm. The aggregate was heated, then plastic waste was spreaded, mixed, added with optimum asphalt content (OAC), evenly mixed and compacted 2x75 Marshall blow. Plastic coating was found only effective (observed visually) on the coarse aggregate using wider plastic size 10-20mm. Samples of HRS-WC were made with aggregate coated with plastic at OAC; OAC-0.5%; and OAC-1%. It was obtained that: the OAC was 7.55%. For 100% coating the coarse aggregate the amount of plastic needed was 30gram (8.6% by weight of total aggregate), and 15gram to coat 50%. The difference on Marshall Characteristic without and with added plastic was not significant and difficulties was experienced to meet volumetric properties, nontheles there was increase in Marshall stability. It was found that, the Marshall stability, flow, Marshall Quotient, VIM, VMA, and VFB on OAC with 50% plastic coating on the coarse aggregate, were consecutively: 1017.35 kg; 3.05mm; 333.69 kg/mm; 298.94 kg/mm; 4.288%; and 18.055%. Meanwhile on 100% coating, consecutively: 1075.07 kg; 3.59mm; 298.94 kg/mm; 4.037%; 17.462%; dan 76.90%.

Abstract

COMPARISON OF SATURATION FLOW VALUE BETWEEN THE TIME SLICEMETHODS WITH THE DPU (1997) APPROACH. (CASE STUDY: INTERSECTIONKEBO IWA STREET WITH WEST ARTERIAL ROAD GATOT SUBROTO)ABSTRACTSaturation flow is an important factor in the process of planning, designing and evaluating traffic lightjunctions. The purpose of this study is to find out protected saturation flow in traffic light junctions. Traffic volumedata obtained from the Automatoc Traffic Control System (ATCS) recorded, and the number of residents obtainedfrom the relevant agencies. While data such as geometric intersections, traffic signal aspects and side frictionswere survey manually. The research design used is a comparative analysis between saturation flow measurementsbased on the Time Slice method and the DPU (1997) approach. In this study applied 2 (two) treatments, namelyTreatment-1; measurement and analysis of saturation flow values based on lane width and Treatment-2;measurement and analysis of saturaton flow values based on total approach width. The results of the measurementand analysis in Treatment-1, obtained that the saturation flow value is very varied depending on the pattern oftraffic movements. In the straight lane movement (S1-1), the value of saturation flow based on the Time Slicemethod obtained at 2.130 pcu / hour is greater than 10% compared to DPU (1997) of 1.976 pcu / hour. Meanwhilein the straight lane with the right turn movement (S1.2), the saturation flow value based on the Time Slice methodof 1.681 pcu / hour is 13% smaller than DPU (1997) of 1,935 pcu / hour. Whereas, the results of measurement andanalysis at Treatment-2; the saturation flow value is relatively the same, with the value of saturation flowrespectively is based on the Time Slice method of 3.856 pcu / hour, DPU (1997) of 3,870 pcu / hour and thecombined saturation flow at Treatment-1 is 3,811 pcu / hour .

Abstract

ANALYSIS OF SHAPE EFFECT OF REINFORCED CONCRETE SHEAR WALL DUE TO CAPACITY AND REBAR AREAABSTRACTThere are several way to improve the structural performance of high rise building in anticipate horizontal drift and reduce structure time period, one of the solution is by adding the shear wall. Shear wall has many type if it divided by it’s shape, including I-Shape, L-Shape, T-Shape and IWF-Shape that can be adapted with the available plan and building shape. The shape difference of shear wall is linear with the difference of shear wall capacity in enduring the forces and the difference of rebar area. By using S-concrete version 7.02 when modelling 4 type of shear walls that given the same axial force and moment and the same materials, it can be concluded that the biggest axial forces and moment capacity is on the I-Shape shear wall as evidenced by axial: momen ratio compare to the capacity as big as 0.71, followed by IWF-Shape (0.86), and L-Shape and T-Shape (both 0.96). Evaluated from total of rebar area, starting from the smallest, I-Shape shear wall with area 29166 mm2, followed by L-Shape (36666 mm2), T-Shape (40833 mm2), and IWF-Shape (51250 mm2).

Abstract

HORIZONTAL LOADING TEST ON SINGLE PILE NAILED-SLAB PAVEMENT SYSTEM ON SOFT CLAYABSTRACTRigid pavement is not only loaded by gravity loads from wheel pressure and temperature, also by horizontally load related to braking forces. This research is aimed to learn the behaviour of Nailed-slab Pavement System due to horizontal load. The 1 : 1 model of single pile Nailed-slab was considered on soft clay. The slab dimension was 120 cm x 120 cm x 15 cm and a pile with diameter 20 cm and lenght 150 cm was installed under the slab. There was 5 cm lean concrete under the slab. Pile and slab was connected monolitically and improved by thickenning slab 40 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. Slab deflections were observed for each horizontal loads. Results show that the single pile Nailed-slab has a linear elastic behaviour until load 10.4 kN. Lateral deflection for this load was 0.52 mm. Plastic behaviour was developed after load 10.4 kN which indicated by increasing in the lateral deflection of slab
