Untirta Civic Education Journal (UCEJ) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes different kinds of scientific articles based on the research article, review article, and book review. All topics that we received were only articles relating to Social Science, Pancasila, Citizenship Education, Law, Morals, Sociology, and Public Policy. For the research category, articles can be written using quantitative and qualitative approaches and can be made in a variety of research designs, such as experiments, case studies, grounded theory, phenomenology, etc. This journal was published in 2016 in the print and online publication twice a year every April and December, and published by Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Abstract

This research is motivated by several problem factors that occur during the learning process, namely: 1) lack of teacher variation in classroom learning activities 2) use of makeshift media by teachers in the teaching and learning process 3) the learning atmosphere in the classroom is easily boring 4) teachers are less proficient in creating or making learning media that attract students' attention 5) the availability of school facilities is inadequate. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application and student responses to the treatment of the game based learning method based on ice breaking to build a more enjoyable learning atmosphere in the PPKn subject for class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Padarincang. The research method used by the researcher is the quantitative experimental method. From the results of the hypothesis test, namely with the t-test, a significance value of 0.000 was obtained, where 0.000 is smaller than 0.05 or can be written as a sig value of 0.000 <0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of ice breaking to build a learning atmosphere in the PPKn subject, the results of the research that the author studied at SMP Negeri 1 Padarincang using the Ice breaking learning method made students more enthusiastic, active and not easily sleepy during learning.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization and innovation, society is increasing scientific research through science referring to existing assumptions and conjectures. With the development of increasingly sophisticated technology, society cannot filter out the good and bad impacts of this technology. People are easily influenced by existing information even though its truth has not been tested. Research must maintain integrity and honesty in every stage of research to ensure science does not deviate from the morality of moral and ethical responsibilities. Research must uphold this in every research process. The method used in conducting this research is the literature study research method, which is often called library research, by collecting data and analyzing data from written sources such as books, journals, scientific articles, research reports and other documents. (Juliangkary & Pujiwisata, 2022. The moral and ethical basics that must be implemented by scientists include honesty, obedience and social responsibility. The application of moral basics is very important in protecting public trust in educational science.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strategy implemented by the Golkar Party in gaining public support in Serang City ahead of the 2024 Election. The main focus of this research is on efforts to increase voter support in order to win the election. With a qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation involving the Chair of the DPD, the Election Winning Body, political observers and the local community. Research findings show that the Golkar Party's campaign strategy includes identifying potential voters, strengthening volunteer networks, and using social media to reach voters. The conclusion of this research emphasizes that the synergy between digital strategy, conventional campaigns and flexible communication makes a major contribution to the effectiveness of the Golkar Party's campaign.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of political campaigns and social media on Generation Z's political orientation in the 2024 General Election. The variables include political campaigns (X1), social media (X2), and political orientation (Y). Political campaigns are assessed through political rhetoric, agitation, and propaganda, while social media focuses on filter bubbles and echo chambers. Political orientation is measured across cognitive, affective, and evaluative dimensions. Using a quantitative, descriptive approach, the study finds that political campaigns positively influence all dimensions of political orientation. Political rhetoric enhances cognitive orientation, agitation affects affective orientation, and propaganda strengthens evaluative orientation. Social media also influences political orientation, with filter bubbles narrowing cognitive orientation by limiting diverse information and echo chambers reinforcing affective orientation by amplifying homogeneous views. The combination of political campaigns and social media significantly impacts political orientation. Social media accelerates campaign message dissemination but, through the interaction of filter bubbles and propaganda, may deepen political polarization and weaken critical evaluation. In conclusion, political campaigns and social media play pivotal roles in shaping Generation Z's political orientation.Keywords: Political Campaigns, Social Media, Political Orientation, Gen Z, Elections

Abstract

Implementation of counseling guidance services increases students' positive discipline from the perspective of the philosophy of science through descriptions of the meaning, function and philosophical principles of counseling guidance, ontology in counseling guidance, epistemology in counseling guidance and axiology in counseling guidance. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature analysis as the main method. Data sources from various libraries such as books and scientific articles. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive. The research results show that the scientific basis for counseling guidance in an effort to improve students' positive discipline is in synergy with an ontological understanding of humans as complex and dynamic creatures, an interdisciplinary epistemological approach and an axiological commitment to individual welfare.

Abstract

Technological advances have brought a significant impact in various aspects of life, including the emergence of the online gambling phenomenon that is increasingly rampant in Indonesia, especially in the West Jakarta region. This research aims to analyse public legal awareness of Article 27 Paragraph 2 of the Electronic Information and Transaction Act (UU ITE) in eradicating online gambling crimes. The research is carried out with a descriptive qualitative approach based on the philosophy of postpositivism, with researchers as the main instrument. The research location is focussed on Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, during the period from July to October 2024. Data is collected through interviews, direct observation, and analysis of legal documents, with data validity tested using triangulation techniques and sources. The results of the study show that the level of public legal awareness of Article 27 Paragraph 2 of the ITE Law is still low, while law enforcement faces various challenges, including limited resources and the complexity of technology used by online gamblers. This study also found that the successful implementation of Article 27 Paragraph 2 of the ITE Law is greatly influenced by the cooperation between the community, law enforcement officers, and the government in increasing legal awareness and supervision of online gambling activities. This research is expected to contribute to the prevention and handling of online gambling crimes in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to understand how Islamic Personal Development activities can contribute to the development of student character and identify the challenges faced in its implementation. It is hoped that good character education can shape students into individuals who are not only academically intelligent, but also have high morals and ethics in accordance with Pancasila values. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and document analysis. Interviews were conducted with teachers, students and parents to obtain a comprehensive perspective regarding Islamic Personal Development activities and their impact on character education. Observations were carried out during the activity to see directly the learning process and interactions between students and supervisors. Documentation taken includes curriculum, teaching materials and relevant activity records. The collected data was then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques to find themes that emerged from the research results. The results of the research show that Islamic Personal Development activities at SMPIT Al-Izzah Serang have succeeded in integrating Pancasila values into the student character learning process. Data shows that 90% of students feel they understand Pancasila values better after participating in this activity, and 90% of parents report positive changes in their children's behavior, such as being more disciplined and responsible.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of philosophy of science in the learning process of students at SDN Bulakan I. Philosophy of science has a major contribution in developing students' critical and analytical thinking skills. Through a qualitative approach with a case study at SD Bulakan 1, data were collected through observation and interviews with teachers and students. The results of the study indicate that the application of philosophy of science in learning can improve students' critical and analytical thinking skills, as well as increase curiosity and motivation to learn. Learning is integrated with discussion, reflection, and problem solving, which encourages students to be more actively involved. Teachers reported increased student engagement and their ability to connect abstract concepts with everyday life.Overall ,philosophy of science has been shown to have apositive impact on students'cognitive deelopment and thequality of learning at SD Bulakan 1.

Abstract

Filsafat pendidikan memainkan peran kunci dalam pembentukan karakter siswa dengan menyediakan kerangka konseptual untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai moral, etika, dan tujuan hidup dalam pendidikan, sehingga dapat mengimbangi pengaruh negative globalisasi dan membentuk siswa yang berkarakter, berintegritas, dan bertanggung jawab.(Situmorang et al., 2024). metode penelitian ini menggunakan studi literature untuk menggali konsep, teori, dan pemikiran mendasar dalam filsafat ilmu yang terkait dengan pendidikan karakter di era digital melalui analisis jurnal, buku, dan penelitian terdahulu dari berbagai sumber,termasuk perpustakaan digital dan database jurnal akademik.(Situmorang et al., 2024). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter memiliki landasan filosofis yang kuat, yang membekali pendidik dengan pemikiran yang mendalam tentang hubungan antara tujuan hidup dan pendidikan karakter.(Rahmadani et al., 2021) Pendidikan karakter juga membentuk budaya sekolah yang  yang berbasis nilai-nilai dan perilaku positif. Selain itu. Pendidikan karakter telah memenuhi syarat-syarat sebagai ilmu pengetahuan, termasuk landasan ontology, epistemology, dan aksiologi.(Gustiawan et al., 2023)
