Untirta Civic Education Journal (UCEJ) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes different kinds of scientific articles based on the research article, review article, and book review. All topics that we received were only articles relating to Social Science, Pancasila, Citizenship Education, Law, Morals, Sociology, and Public Policy. For the research category, articles can be written using quantitative and qualitative approaches and can be made in a variety of research designs, such as experiments, case studies, grounded theory, phenomenology, etc. This journal was published in 2016 in the print and online publication twice a year every April and December, and published by Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Abstract

Pengelolaan website SP4N LAPOR merupakan bagian dari implementasi e-government dalam meningkatkan pelayanan publik di Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Dinas Kominfo) Kota Cilegon. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengelolaan website SP4N LAPOR sebagai bagian dari implementasi e-government dalam meningkatkan pelayanan publik di Dinas Kominfo Kota Cilegon. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan SP4N LAPOR telah berjalan cukup baik berdasarkan pencapaian tujuan, integritas, dan kemudahan akses. Namun, masih terdapat kendala seperti rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat, kurangnya sosialisasi, dan keterlambatan tindak lanjut laporan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan sosialisasi, transparansi informasi, serta sanksi dan insentif bagi OPD guna meningkatkan efektivitas layanan. Secara keseluruhan, pengelolaan SP4N LAPOR di Kota Cilegon telah memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas pelayanan publik berbasis digital, meskipun masih diperlukan peningkatan dalam aspek partisipasi dan responsivitas instansi terkait. Kata Kunci: SP4N LAPOR, E-Government, Pengelolaan, Pelayanan Publik, Kota Cilegon

Abstract

 Pendidikan karakter sangat penting dalam membentuk kepribadian anak, terutama pada usia dini. RA Al-Izzah Kota Serang telah menerapkan pilar karakter dalam kurikulum dan kegiatan sehari-hari. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pilar karakter tersebut diterapkan dan dampaknya terhadap perkembangan karakter anak. Melalui metode kualitatif dan observasi langsung, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa penerapan pilar karakter tidak hanya membentuk perilaku positif, tetapi juga meningkatkan keterampilan sosial anak.

Abstract

Tiktok is blocked in various countries because it contains racial, hate speech and suicide content so that it can affect the moral conditions and behavior of users. the research method used in this study is quantitative using a correlation study approach and a survey to collect the data. The respondents involved were 63 people, namely class X students. the results and analysis obtained are that Tiktok social media has an influence on student morale of 14.8% and is in the very low category. there are other factors that influence outside the factors studied. Tiktok social media can have an influence on the morale of students but there are more decisive factors in the formation of student morale, such as environment, family and peers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the political literacy patterns carried out by the Jambi Provincial KPU towards new voters in the 2024 election. The main focus of this study is to identify political information needs, search strategies, information communication movements, and product evaluations of the final political process. The method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive design, collecting data through interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that although the KPU has made good efforts to improve political literacy, there are still various obstacles that need to be overcome, such as apathy among young voters and lack of use of social media. The KPU needs to develop a more varied approach and use digital platforms to reach new voters effectively. The recommendations generated from this study are expected to improve the quality and reach of political literacy programs, as well as encourage more active political participation among new voters in Indonesia.Keywords: Political Literacy, First-time Voters, 2024 Election

Abstract

The documentary film Baduy: Ekspedisi Indonesia Biru, produced by Watchdoc Image/Documentary, portrays civic values in the management of customary land rights of the Baduy indigenous community. It illustrates how the Baduy people protect their customary land through customary law and local wisdom, emphasizing collective responsibility, environmental preservation, respect for communal rights, and the human-nature relationship. This representation raises awareness of the importance of safeguarding indigenous rights in the face of modernization pressures, deforestation driven by food policies, and national agrarian regulations. Maintaining the sovereignty of customary land is vital for preserving the Baduy’s cultural identity and socio-cultural sustainability, which is crucial for addressing the triple planetary crisis. Using a compelling narrative and visual style, the documentary functions as an effective educational tool to communicate civic values related to indigenous land rights, community participation, and social justice in natural resource management. This study explores how the film reflects and strengthens civic values in protecting and resource management for customary land. The research employs qualitative methods and source triangulation, and lexical code by Ralph Linton to analyze the documentary’s role in promoting sustainable and just management of indigenous lands.

Abstract

The phenomenon of underage students riding two-wheeled vehicles is increasingly common, including at SMA Negeri 5 Jambi City. This research aims to analyze the factors driving this behavior by reviewing the civic knowledge aspect. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques through interviews and questionnaires with class Even though most students know that underage driving is against the rules, they still do it out of necessity and lack of supervision. The civic knowledge that students have is not enough to encourage compliance with traffic rules. Therefore, a more comprehensive approach is needed through strengthening the role of the family, enforcing discipline in schools, and increasing legal awareness in the community in order to minimize underage driving violations.   Keywords: underage students, two-wheeled vehicles, civic knowledge, driving factors, traffic safety.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate and enhance character development practices among Grade 6 students at SDN Purut using an inquiry-based pedagogical approach grounded in epistemology and axiology. Employing Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a qualitative framework, the research unfolded in four phases: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. During the planning phase, a character education program was crafted to align with students' needs and pertinent values informed by the nature of knowledge and value theory regarding the significance and utility of education. The implementation phase focused on applying learning strategies designed to integrate character values such as discipline, responsibility, and empathy into everyday learning experiences. Data collection involved observation, in-depth interviews, and activity notes, which were subsequently analyzed through qualitative descriptive methods. The findings indicated that character education programs rooted in epistemology and axiology can enhance students' comprehension of character values while promoting constructive behavioral shifts within the school setting. This study adds to the advancement of value-centered teaching methods that can be utilized to enhance character education in primary schools.
