Abstract

The purpose of this research was to reveal the level of sudents?óÔé¼Ôäó motivation in math learning and also the level of students?óÔé¼Ôäó cognitive using math animation with RME approach. The implementation of math animation with realistic mathemativs education approach had tested before in II-A and II-B class in SDN 3 Palembon, Semarang. The research did four times meeting. The reseacrh method was quasy experiment. The research showed that the score of experiment had completed the academic target by individual nor clasical, and after analyzed, we known that the experiment class had better academic result than control class. Abstract

The research was conducted to develop students argumentation skills through the utilization of social media Edmodo. The utilization of social media Edmodo was expected to treat students in forming a claim that was supported by the evidence and guarantees opinion to support the claim. The subjects of this study were the fourth semester students of academic year 2013/2014 in the University of PGRI Semarang as much as 3 classes (42 students per class) that follow the lecture of Natural Science Basis. Quantitative data of student argumentation skills was acquired through the assessment of the arguments quality by using the assessment instrument arguments rubric. The results showed that the use of social media Edmodo improved the student argumentation skills. Limited time in exercising the student argumentation skills in the class can be resolved with the interaction of students in solving problems which posted online. The quality of the student's argument can be seen from the most of the students were at level 2, 3, and 4. This indicated that the student has been able to establish a claim supported by the evidence and guarantees opinions to support the claims that have been made. Abstract

This research is motivated by low yields and social studies teachers do not use the model of learning in learning. The problem in this research is "Is there any application of learning models CTL assisted Media Images on learning outcomes, teacher performance and student activity IPS sixth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Bugo Jepara?". This study aims to determine the application of learning models CTL assisted Media Images on learning outcomes, teacher performance and student activity IPS sixth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Bugo Jepara. Results showed hypothesis test obtained thitung price ttabel 1.685 5.862 thus thitung> ttable or 5.862> 1.685, the then Ho is rejected and H1 accepted or it can be said that the average difference in initial conditions with final conditions significantly. The conclusion was that no application of learning models CTL assisted Media Image Of Learning Outcomes IPS Grade VI Elementary School 1 Bugo Jepara. Abstract

Anak-anak pemikir dan pelajar yang aktif membangun pengetahuan dan informasi melalui interaksi aktif dengan lingkungan dalam berbagai tahap pembangunan. Melalui lagu-lagu sederhana dan puisi, anak-anak dapat belajar dan memiliki pengalaman bahasa, terutama bahasa asing Inggris. Jazz Chants adalah salah satu dari mereka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Data-data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan angket terhadap guru PAUD TK Bina Insani. Selanjutnya, dilakukan triangulasi terhadap data-data hasil penelitian yang telah diperoleh. Dengan demikian, data hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dan dideskripsikan akurat/valid. Dengan menggunakan strategi jazz chant, sangat membantu para siswa untuk lebih antusias dalam belajaar bahasa Inggris. Jazz chants membuat siswa TK bisa menghafal materi berbahasa Inggris dengan mudah. Karena strategi ini diajarkan dengan menggunakan ritme dan irama yang mudah dihafal oleh siswa TK. ?é?á Kata Kunci: jazz, TK, pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris

Abstract

The aims of the study are 1) to describe how dangling modifiers are used by the students in writing Research Findings and Discussion and 2) to give a solusion of the dangling modifiers produced by them. ?é?áThis study is descriptive qualitative research. The object of the study is the Final Projects, especially Research Findings and Discussion Chapter written by the English Education Department Students of University of PGRI Semarang in the academic year 2013/2014. The total number of the sample is 30 Final Projects, and purposive sampling is used in getting the sample. In collecting the data, the writers used non interactive method that is in the form of documentation. There are three components used in analyzing the data?óÔé¼ÔÇØreducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusion. The result of this study shows that the writers found 39 sentences of the 22 Research Findings and Discussion indicated dangling modifier. There was no dangling modifier in 8 Research Findings and Discussion. The sentences indicated dangling modifier started with present participle, past participle, to infinitive, dan prepositional phrase. The dangling modifiers are because the inroductory phrases of the sentences did not refer to the subjects of the main clauses. In other words, the subjects of the main clauses did not match with the introductory phrases of the sentences or the parts ofmain clausewere in the form of expletive construction orpassive construction; as a result, thesubjects were not clear. In solving the problems of the dangling modifiers, the writers changed the subjects of the main clauses, so these matched with both the introductory phrases (modifiers) and the main clauses or added subordinating conjunctions and subjects (doer of action) on the introductory phrases, so these phrases became complete introductory clauses(adverbial clause). Then it is suggested for the advisors to improve the quality in guiding the students to write Research Findings and Discussion both in techniques to write them and/or the structures of the sentences, so the students can minimize the errors in writing sentences, especially dangling modifier. ?é?á Keywords: analysis,dangling modifier, Reserach Findings and Discussion

Abstract

The aim of this research was describe the probabilistic thinking profile of elementary students with low academic level in probability task attainment. The research?óÔé¼Ôäós subject was 5th grade students of elementary school. One subject choose with certain criteria, the one who had low math skill and able to communicate fluently. The main instrument of this research was the researcher it self and additional instrument was math test, probability worksheet and interview guidance. The credibility of this research was measured by data triangulation, data reduction, data explanation, data interpretation and making conclusion. The result of this research showed that (1) in the sample space task with experiment used a tools like coin and dice, student gave statistic response, students could list all of space sample. However, in the space sample task with essay/story task, students gave non-statistic response, student gave the answer/reason based on their daily experiences. (2) in the probability task of event with experiment used a tools like spinner, student gave partial statistic responded. However, in the probability task of event with essay form, students gave response with compared the one event to another. Abstract

This research aims to find out the effectiveness of humanitarian feature learning media in enhancing the ability to write a short story class X SMAN 2 Bantul. Research design with a quasi-experimental wich design of a control group of non - equivalence. The sample in this research was 72 students, divided into experimental class ( X. IPA2 ) and the control class (X. IPA 4). The collection of data through tests that test writing short stories, questionnaires, and interviews. T-test calculation results showed that the scores t is greater than t table ( th = 4,804 > tt = 1,980 ) at the significance level of 5% with db 70. Shceffe test calculation results between groups using data posttest control group and the experimental group obtained F count ( F'h = 21.392 ) is greater than the F table ( F't = 3.985 ) with 70 db at significance level of 5 %. This suggests that learning to write short stories using learning media feature of humanity in the experimental group was more effective than learning to write short stories without using learning media feature of humanity in the control group. The questionnaire results showed that the majority of students, 55.5 % feel learning media feature given humanity, capable of inspiring them both in terms of appearance and structure of the short story ideas that include titles, conflict, character, setting, and problem resolution . The works of students who use the medium of learning in the form of human features appear to be more structured , both in terms of the appearance of ideas ranging from story ideas, titles, and logical thinking as well as the structure of the short story ( plot, setting, and characterization). Abstract

This study entitled "Development of Mobile Learning Model TAPPS at Content of Sequences and Series Class X Semester 1 at SMA Nasima Semarang". The problems that arise in this research is "How to develop mobile learning with models TAPPS at Content of Sequences andSeriesinSMANasimaSemarang that is valid?, whether assisted mathematics learning with Mobile learning with models Tapps at Content of Sequences and Series in SMA Nasima Semarang is effective?". The population in this study is students of class X first semester of the school year 2014/2015. While the subject of this study was composed of two classes, they are an experiment class and a control class. The number of research subjects for each class is 22 students. Selection and determination of the subjects of this study were taken by purposive sampling technique. This research is Development Research. Developed device is a Mobile learning media with models Tapps at Content of Sequences and series to improve student achievement that meets the criteria of valid and effective. The procedure of this study refers to the development of 4D Thiagarajan but limited to 3 stages: defining, designing and developing. From the results of the researh, it can be concluded that the development of mobile learning with models Tapps at Content of Sequences and Series has achieved an effective indicator, namely: (1) the product of Mobile learning with models Tapps at Content of Sequences and Series gets a validation assessment of media experts 94.2% and material specialists 97.4% with decent criteria. (2) There is a positive response to the mobile learning media demonstrated the effect of 90.3% contribution. (3) Experimental class learning achievement was higher than the control class learning achievement as indicated by the their averages: the average for experimental class is?é?á 94.28 and the average of the control class is 92.59. The results of this study can be used as input for the teacher to try to do the math instructional media development by leveraging technologies such as mobile learning for learning, so that will add insight for teachers and students.
