Abstract

Biology learning in the 2013 curriculum emphasizes the development of holistic attitude, knowledge, and skills competencies. One way to develop these competencies is by applying a learning model based on a scientific approach, namely inquiry and PjBL. Both of these models have stages that can develop the three competencies. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of inquiry learning model and PjBL toward concept comprehension, scientific process skill, and scientific attitude. The type of this research is experiment using nonrandomized pretest and posstes control group design. The instrument of this research is the observation sheet of scientific attitude and scientific process skill, and concept comprehension test. Analysis of scientific attitude data using anova, data analysis of scientific process skills using kruskal wallis, and analysis of concept comprehension data using anacova. The result of analysis of anakova test obtained F count equal to 65,494 with significance level p (0,000) <α (0,05), Anova test result got χ2 count equal to 44,325 with significance level p (0,000) <α (0,05), test result Anova obtained F count equal to 26,795 with significance level p (0,000) <α (0,05). The three test results show that there are differences in scientific attitude, scientific process skills, and conceptual understanding between control class students and experimental class students.

Abstract

Result of observations and teacher interviews class of natural sciences VIII-H Junior High School 20 Malang, information obtained student participation in learning activities is low. Evident from; (1) The classical completeness third aspect of student participation that aspect of the task, the business discussion, and the liveliness of the opinion reached only 12.5% of 32 students and understanding the concept of students is low as evidenced by the results of tests on classical completeness system material only amounted to 37.5%. The solution can be applied is the application of PBL learning model TPS combined. This research was conducted in classes VIII-H Junior High School 20 Malang, the second semester 2015/2016. Data taken in this study is enforceability of TPS combined PBL learning, student participation, and students' understanding of the concept. The results showed that the learning model of TPS combined PBL can improve students' participation and understanding of the concept.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum is designed to develop attitude, knowledge, and skills competencies. Students' low scientific and attitudes skills lead to low concept comprehension. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of Project Based Learning used local potential of environment as learning resource towards the students' concept comprehension, scientific skills, and scientific attitude. The type of this research was quantitative descriptive with pretest-posttest control group design design. Data was collected by tests and observations. The result of the research showed that Project Based used local potential of environment as learning resource had a positive effect on the students' concept comprehension, scientific skills, and scientific attitude.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of Socio-Biological Case Based Learning model toward critical thinking skills. This study is an quasy experimental design by nonrandomized pretest-posttest control group design conducted in the department of Biology in State University of Malang in 2015. The data was collected from pretest and posttest. The result showed that there was significant influence of critical thinking skills on general Biology among Socio-Biological Case Based Learning and conventional model. The average difference in conventional model for pretest and posttest is 18,21 while in Socio-Biological Case Based Learning is 36,92. Based on gain score, the increase in conventional model is 62,80% while Socio-Biological Case Based Learning model is 74,03%.

Abstract

Learning needs to be considered internal factors of students, such as problem-solving ability that are very important for students and their future. The result of the test of the students of grade X IPA 4 SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta on Biology subject matter of environmental pollution, problem solving ability is low. This is limited to the results of learning is still product-oriented, which is limited to the application of conceptual learning with rote. Learning model used in overcoming the problem is model Problem Based Learning accompanied by Dialog Soctares (PBLDS). This study aims to determine the influence and interaction of PBLDS in terms of problem solving to affective, cognitive and psychomotor student’ achievement. Subjects in this study were students of class x SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta. This study was included in a quasi experiment using a post-test control design. The data generated in this study were analyzed using anava test. The research instruments used were observation sheets and multiple choice tests. The results showed that the influence and model model of PBLDS viewed from the results of problem solving ability affective, cognitive and psychomotor learning results. This can be seen from the results of the anova test shows a significance value of less than 0.05.

Abstract

Teachers improve learning activity and creativity of students in ecosystem that is using a field trip. Students activities in a field trip are guided through a worksheet to facilitate their observation. Field trip activities implemented in place of Wahana Edukasi Global (WAGLO) Cisalak of Subang District, West Java Province. This study aims to identify and analyze creative thinking ability of students in carrying out field trip. The method used was weak experimental design with one group pretest-posttest. Population subjects in this study were students of grade 10th MA Al-Husna Cisalak Subang District West Java Province. The sample is determined by purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done through a test of creative thinking ability that given at the beginning and end of learning. Data was analyzed by calculating N-gain test result. The results showed that field trip provide enhanced creative thinking ability of students with index N-gain of 0.48 is included in the medium category.

Abstract

penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan asesmen portofolio proses dalam model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Batu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif dari penerapan asesmen portofolio proses terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar biologi. Kesimpulannya adalah penerapan asesmen portofolio proses dalam model inkuiri terbimbing menyebabkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar biologi siswa yang lebih tinggi.

Abstract

Pada tingkat pendidikan tinggi, misalnya pada matakuliah Genetika, keterampilan metakognitif perlu untuk diberdayakan. Pemberdayaan keterampilan metakognitif juga dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajarnya. Salah satu upaya untuk memberdayakan keterampilan metakognitif dan hasil belajar adalah dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terintegrasi peta konsep dan refleksi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan keterampilan metakognitif dan hasil belajar. Sampel penelitian adalah 44 mahasiswa IKIP Budi Utomo yang sedang menempuh matakuliah Genetika Lanjutan. Penelitian ini tergolong kedalam penelitian survey. Data yang didapatkan adalah selisih pretest dan postest untuk keterampilan metakognitif dan hasil belajar. Data selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan antara hasil belajar dan keterampilan metakognitif melalui model PBL terintegrasi peta konsep dan refleksi belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

Permasalahan pembelajaran biologi di SMAN 1 Kepanjen adalah guru kurang menyediakan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk menerapkan pendekatan saintifik dengan tepat, karena belum ada fenomena masalah yang harus diamati oleh siswa dan siswa kurang fokus pada permasalahan yang ingin diinvestigasi. Dampaknya siswa cenderung hanya menghafal dan tidak dapat mengkaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga belum memberdayakan keterampilan proses. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing dipadu TPS terhadap keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Kepanjen. Keterampilan proses diukur dengan lembar observasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa diukur dengan soal pre-test dan post-test. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu eksperimen semu (quasy eksperiment) dengan desain Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. Analisis data keterampilan proses menggunakan analisis uji t dan analisis data hasil belajar kognitif menggunakan analisis kovarian yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji normalitas dan homogenitas data. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran diukur menggunakan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran oleh guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing dipadu terhadap keterampilan proses siswa (Sig. 0,014 < 0,05) dan berbeda nyata secara signifikan, (2) ada pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing dipadu TPS terhadap hasil belajar kognitif (Sig. 0,002 < 0,05) dan berbeda nyata secara signifikan.

Abstract

In accordance with the demands of the 21st century and the Curriculum 2013, learners are required to face the challenges of the future, namely the demands of globalization and advancement of information technology. One of the technological discoveries is the Quick Response Code (QR Code). Utilization of QR Code in the field of education can as a means of presenting information by connecting various media. The purpose of this study is to develop interactive media teaching materials Pteridophyta Division berbantaun QR Code. The existence of interactive media teaching materials is expected students are able to interact with media realia so as able to describe the characteristics of Divisio in the world of plants and its role for survival on earth. The research method used is model development of 4D model adapted from Thiagarajan. In this research we only do research until design stage because of fund and time limitation. Data analysis can not be done because of this interactive media not yet implemented. After the implementation of interactive media can be done descriptive quantitative analysis. The result of the research is interactive media powerpoint macro product of QR Code-assisted Pteridophyta Division with basic competence in SMA X class that is 3.9 describes divisio characteristics in plant world and its role for survival on earth.
