Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to understand the effect of using High Volume Fly Ash (HVFA) on the properties of fresh mortar. Mortar properties such as cement paste setting time, fresh mortar flow value, and mortar compressive strength were tested in this study. The results showed that the higher the fly ash content used in the mixture, the longer the paste setting time occurred. The initial bonding time of the cement paste with the control specimen, fly ash content of 0, 50 and 75% occurred at the 131st minute, 17.5th minute, 15th minute and 28th minute, respectively. The final binding time of the control sample cement paste, fly ash content of 0, 50 and 75% occurred in the 210th minute, 50th minute, 70th minute and 95th minute, respectively. The results showed that the use of High-Volume Fly Ash (HVFA) could increase the workability of fresh mortar. This is evidenced by the use of fly ash 50% causes an increase in flow value as much as 20.5% and the use of fly ash 75% causes an increase in flow value as much as 42.7%. Research proves that the higher the fly ash content used in the mixture, the lower the compressive strength value produced by the mortar. The results of the compressive strength test of HVFA mortar with control sample specimens, fly ash content of 0, 50 and 75% respectively were 16.6 Mpa, 6.3 Mpa, 5.2 Mpa, and 4.5 Mpa.Kata Kunci: HVFA, fresh mortar, setting time, compressive strength

Abstract

Serapan lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang rendah sebagai salah satu indikasi relevansi pendidikan SMK belum baik. Relevansi dapat berarti kedalaman materi pembelajaran. Relevansi kedalaman dapat diakibatkan kurangnya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, kreativitas dan memecahkan masalah. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir dapat dilakukan secara bertahap melalui penilaian yang tepat. Soal sebagai alat penilaian perlu dibuat dan dikembangkan oleh guru secara benar. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat soal pilihan ganda berbasis ketrampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Solusi yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru SMK dalam membuat soal pilihan ganda HOTS adalah melalui pelatihan. Pelatihan dilakukan terhadap sejumlah 30 guru SMK, selama tujuh kali pertemuan pada bulan Juli hingga September 2023. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa melalui pelatihan terjadi meningkatkan kemampuan professional guru SMK dalam membuat soal pilihan ganda HOTS sebesar 23 persen dan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan. The low uptake of Vocational High School (SMK) graduates as an indication of the relevance of vocational education has not been good. Relevance can mean depth of learning material. Relevance depth can result from a lack of improved higher-order thinking skills, creativity and problem solving. Improvement of thinking skills can be done gradually through proper assessment. Questions as an assessment tool need to be created and developed by the teacher correctly. The purpose of this activity is to improve teachers’ ability to make multiple-choice questions based on higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). The solution to improve the ability of SMK teachers in making HOTS multiple-choice questions is through training. The training was conducted on a total of 30 vocational teachers, during seven meetings from July to September 2023. The results of the activity showed that through the training there was an increase in the professional ability of vocational teachers in making HOTS multiple-choice questions by 23 percent and showed a significant improvement.

Abstract

Abstract: Competition for transportation modes such as ojol causes a lack of interest in passengers using angkot. Some of the other impacts caused by Covid-19 on city transportation, namely, a decrease in the number of passengers from 15 people in normal conditions to only around 3-4 people in the Covid-19 pandemic in one trip During the Covid-19 pandemic many angkot stopped operating because it was very hard to get passengers. So not infrequently some angkot finally turn back to the departure terminal and end up returning home from work at noon. The method used is by distributing questionnaires to drivers and users of angkot suits for characteristics and for the level of service, where for the level of service followed by data processing using the IPA method with a Likert scale. For operational performance, static and dynamic field surveys are carried out. Based on the results of the research, the results of the operational performance of LDH/G public transportation are between 2-11 minutes in the good category, the travel time is 51 minutes in the good category, and the circulation time is 1 hour 28 minutes in the good category. As for the level of service that needs to be improved, namely the convenience aspect in the form of the availability of trash bins, the health protocol aspect of having a cross (X) on the seat and the availability of trash bins. Abstract

Abstract: PVC waste management is often a problem, and this happens because PVC is a material that cannot be decomposed naturally. Therefore, innovation is needed to dispose of large amounts of PVC waste. One way is to turn the waste into an additive to the asphalt mixture. Adding PVC into asphalt can improve its performance, namely by increasing its softening point value so that asphalt can resist weather changes. This study aims to: (1) Describe the characteristics of the AC-WC mixture without adding PVC in terms of Marshall parameters. (2) describe the characteristics of the AC-WC mixture with the addition of PVC in terms of Marshall parameters. (3) Determine the optimum level of PVC added to the AC-WC pavement mixture. (4) Determine the value of residual strength index (IKS) in the AC-WC mixture with the addition of PVC. PVC material is mixed into the asphalt with variations in the addition of PVC of 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% by weight of the asphalt, and then the Marshall test is carried out. Next, the IKS test specimens were made with optimum bitumen and PVC content, and the Marshall test was carried out. The results of this study showed: (1) The characteristics of the AC-WC mixture without the addition of PVC were that the stability value increased up to 6% and decreased at 6.5% and 7% asphalt content. Meanwhile, the value of flow and VFA has increased. The VIM value decreased, as did the VMA value, which decreased at 5.5% and increased at the next level. (2) The characteristic of the AC-WC mixture with the addition of PVC is that the stability value increases by adding up to 4% PVC content but decreases at 6% to 10%. Flow, VIM, and VMA values increase as the PVC content increases, but VFA values tend to decrease. (3) The optimum level of PVC addition is found at 4.2% by weight of asphalt. (4) The mixture with the addition of 4.2% PVC has a higher IKS value than the mixture without the addition of PVC. This indicates that the AC-WC mixture with the addition of PVC can have better temperature and water resistance compared to the AC-WC mixture without adding additives.Keywords :  polyvinyl chloride, asphalt concrete-wearing course, Marshall parameters

Abstract

Abstract: The higher population growth makes the community's need for transportation facilities and infrastructure also higher. One of the intersections that is always crowded with vehicles from various directions, especially during rush hours on weekdays in Malang is the Jl. Soekarno Hatta due to the increase in the volume of vehicles from year to year. In addition, the traffic light at the intersection of Jl. MT. Haryono has been disabled by engineering traffic for motorists going to Jl. Mayjend Panjaitan was required to turn back on Jl. Soekarno Hatta first. This causes vehicle queues, delays, and congestion on Jl. Soekarno Hatta at certain hours which resulted in longer travel times. This study aims to (1) describe the results of the evaluation of the performance of the signalized intersection software PTV Vissim 9 and MKJI 1997, (2) describe the performance of the signalized intersection for the next 5 years, (3) plan alternative solutions to the problems that occur at the signalized intersection in the existing condition. This research method refers to the analysis of MKJI 1997 and PTV Vissim 9 which is used to obtain the existing saturated condition which will later be used as a reference for calculating the prediction of intersection performance in the next 5 years and as a reference in planning alternative solutions that allow to improve the performance of the signalized intersection. Based on the results of the study, it is known that (1) the performance of the existing condition is very saturated where at the intersection of Jl. Soekarno Hatta DS value 0.945, while Jl. Mayjend Panjaitan DS value of 0.945. The average delay is 36.75 sec/pcu category D. Vissim's calculation is 62.58 sec/veh with category E. (2) Prediction of intersection performance in the 5th year obtained a delay value of 37.51 sec/pcu category D for existing conditions. (3) Alternative solutions that allow to improve intersection performance include alternative 2 adding phases, movement, and widening the road with a DS value of 0.872 for all approaches, an average delay of 22.97 sec/pcu category C. Vissim's calculation obtained 72.64 sec/veh with category E. Alternative 4 is the addition of underpass with a DS value of 0.879 for all approaches, the average delay is 22.77 sec/pcu category C. Predicted performance in the 5th year obtained a delay value of 23.32 sec/pcu category C for alternative 2 and 22.90 sec/pcu category C for alternative 4. It is known that alternative 4 solution allows to improve the performance of signaled intersections, this can be seen in the delay obtained.Keywords: performance of intersection, signalized intersection, MKJI, vissim

Abstract

Kali Keting is a river located in Jember Regency, East Java Province. The land use of the Keting River Watershed (DAS) is predominantly villages and rice fields. Some of the rice fields are in the middle and upstream of the Kali Keting watershed. On the upstream side, when there is a large discharge, overflow occurs. In fact, the overflow occurred for 5 days and inundated people's houses to a depth of 50 - 60 cm. And in the rice fields, flooding also occurred which inundated 157 ha of rice crops and 26.33 ha of sugar cane crops. So it is necessary to carry out studies for flood prevention. The methods used are the calculation of the planned pearson type 3 log rain analysis, the planned flood discharge calculation using the Nakayasu unit hydrograph method, hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS software for existing and planned conditions, and discussion of the results of the hydraulic analysis. From the results of the analysis, it was found that action was needed in the form of river normalization. In critical gutters, reinforcement with lining is required.

Abstract

Bendungan Tukul yang berlokasi di Desa Karanggede, Kecamatan Arjosari, Kabupaten Pacitan, Jawa Timur, selama proses pengerjaan terdapat berbagai macam kendala, salah satunya adalah yang diakibatkan oleh kondisi struktur geologis yang ada di lokasi. Tanah yang mudah longsor mengakibatkan terhambatnya pekerjaan pada proyek seperti contohnya pekerjaan penggalian. Sehingga pada artikel ilmiah ini digunakan alternatif modifikasi tipe spillway pada Bendungan Tukul dari tipe pelimpah samping menjadi tipe Morning Glory, dikarenakan pelimpah tipe Morning Glory ini memiliki struktur yang terpisah dengan tanah terutama bagian inlet sehingga tidak memberikan beban pada tanah terutama di bagian tebing yang mudah longsor. Dalam perencanaan modifikasi ini terdapat analisis hidrolika yang berupa perhitungan dimensi pelimpah, konduit, dan kolam olak. Dari perhitungan hidrolika juga diketahui 3 kondisi air yang terjadi pada spillway Morning Glory yaitu kondisi 1 (Crest Control), kondisi 2 (Tube or Orifice Control), kondisi 3 (Full Pipe Flow). Untuk mencari debit banjir rancangan dipilih metode hidrograf debit banjir rancangan yang paling sesuai hasilnya dari segi keamanan yaitu metode Gama 1. Dengan menggunakan pelimpah Morning Glory debit banjir dapat tereduksi sebesar 203,20 m3/dt. Lebih efektif mereduksi banjir dibandingkan desain pelimpah sebelum dimodifikasi yaitu pelimpah jenis ogee yang hanya mampu mererduksi debit banjir sebesar 90,59 m3/dt. Penggunaan spillway Morning Glory ini diharapkan bisa menjadi rujukan dalam mengatasi permasalahan struktur geologis pada proyek bendungan kedepannya dan mampu menjadi opsi optimalisasi dalam mereduksi banjir.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) deskripsi pengalaman mengajar guru, pengalaman pelatihan guru, dan kualitas pembelajaran soft skill guru; (2) hubungan pengalaman mengajar terhadap kualitas pembelajaran soft skill guru; dan (3) hubungan pengalaman pelatihan terhadap kualitas pembelajaran soft skill guru. Populasi penelitian adalah guru mata pelajaran produktif di SMK Negeri 1 Kediri. Sampel penelitian adalah sampel jenuh dengan jumlah 51 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan angket tertutup. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan korelasi dengan tarf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) pengalaman mengajar dan pengalaman pelatihan guru masuk pada kategori cukup, sedangkan kualitas pembelajaran soft skill guru masuk pada kategori baik; (2) tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan pengalaman mengajar terhadap kualitas pembelajaran soft skill guru; dan (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan pengalaman pelatihan terhadap kualitas pembelajaran soft skill guru SMK.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Gambar Teknik di SMKN 5 Makassar. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel terdiri dari 56 siswa kelas X yang dipilih secara acak. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,836 dan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,725. Ini berarti motivasi belajar berkontribusi sebesar 72,5 persen terhadap variasi hasil belajar, sementara 27,5 persen dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak termasuk dalam model regresi. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa motivasi dalam mempelajari suatu mata pelajaran (khususnya Gambar Teknik) sangat berpengaruh pada nilai akhir siswa, menjamin tercapainya hasil belajar yang tinggi.

Abstract

Rendahnya penyerapan lulusan SMK di lapangan pekerjaan kemungkinan sebagai akibat dari relevansi pendidikan dalam kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Akar dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah ketrampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Peningkatan HOTS dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan soal ujian HOTS. Penerapan ujian ini dapat dilakukan bila guru telah mempunyai kemampuan yang baik dalam membuat soal HOTS. Karena kemampuan guru dalam membuat soal HOTS belum baik, maka diperlukan adanya peningkatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam membuat stimulus dan soal pilihan ganda HOTS setelah penerapan model gabungan sharing, praktik, tutorial, dan presentasi hasil. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan quasi eksperimen one group pretes-postes. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam membuat stimulus sebesar 27,57 persen dan signifikan, serta peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam membuat soal pilihan ganda HOTS sebesar 33,34 persen dan signifikan. Secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model gabungan sharing, praktik, tutorial, dan presentasi hasil dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam membuat soal pilihan ganda berbasis HOTS secara signifikan.
