Abstract

The cell cycle is a vital process in the life of every organism. Normally, the cell cycleresults in cell division. Cell division consists of 2 main processes, namely DNAreplication and chromosome division that has been duplicated into 2 daughter cells.Cyclin is expressed periodically so that the cyclin concentration varies at each phase ofthe cell cycle. Cdks are threonine or serine protein kinases which must bind to cyclinfor its activation. The concentration of Cdks is relatively constant during the cell cycle.Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor (CKI) is a protein that can inhibit Cdk activity bybinding to Cdk or the cyclin-Cdk complex

Abstract

Headache is one of the most common neurological complaints. The InternationalHeadache Society (IHS) classification divides headaches into a primary and secondaryheadache. The cause or type of headache can be determined from the history of thedisease and physical examination. Neurophysiological tests are used in establishing adifferential diagnosis of headache. There are several neurophysiological methods usedin the diagnosis of headaches, one of them is electroencephalography. This study aimsto look at the most frequent EEG picture in cases of a primary headache without focalneurological deficits in the Neurology Polyclinic of Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital fromJanuary 2019 to December 2019. This research used a descriptive method. The studypopulation was all patients who underwent an EEG examination in the IntegratedDiagnostic Installation (IDT) of Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital from January 2019 toDecember 2019. Subjects were patients who had a chief complaint of headache whohad been subjected to an EEG examination. Statistical analyzes were performedcomputerized using IBM SPSS Statistics version 23.0 for Windows. From this study, the most common chronic headache is migraine, and the most common EEG feature isnormal. EEG can be used as a modality for investigating chronic headaches withoutfocal neurological deficits.

Abstract

Background Bangun-bangun leaves (Plectranthus amboinicus) are part of theLamiaceae family. (1) (1) Bangun-bangun leaves have a characteristic aromatic leavesaroma used as a medicinal plant (2). According to research conducted by (Dalimuntheet al., 2016) to find the use of this plant as an antibacterial because it containscompounds such as flavonoids, tannins, tripenoids, saponins, and essential oils. Onthe bangun-bangun leaves there is carvacrol, which is an essential component that hasantibacterial activity in positive or negative gram bacteria. streptococcus pyogenesbacteria are vectors of suppurative infectious diseases and other diseases such aspharyngitis. While salmonella typhi bacteria is a vector of the disease which is usuallycalled typhus and the medical language is typhoid fever. The purpose of this study wasto determine that the bacteria salmonella typhi and streptococcus pyogenens can beinhibited by the leaves extract. The benefit of this research is to increase publicunderstanding and knowledge in the use of bangun-bangun leaves. The method usedin this study is an experimental method and post test only controlled group design. Forthe concentration used, namely 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and this strength test is doneby inserting the extract into a petri dish that has a bacterial culture. Data processinguses one-way ANOVA with the aim of comparing each variable. To see the extractagainst bacteria. The results showed that there were variations in the diameter of theinhibition zone formed by the concentration of the extract. And the most effectiveconcentration to inhibit streptococcus pyogenes bacteria was a concentration of 25%,the inhibition zone diameter was 19.5mm, while salmonella typhi bacteria had aconcentration of 25% and the inhibition zone diameter was 37.7m

Abstract

A B S T R A C TTechnetium-99m ( 99m Tc) has been applied in nuclear medicine as a radiopharmacyfor both diagnosis and therapy. 99m Tc is obtained from a 99 Mo/ 99m Tc (half-life 66 h)generator in the form of sodium pertechnetate (Na[ 99m TcO 4 ]) by decaying to 99 Tc for 6hours and emitting gamma energy rays (Eɤ = 140 keV). This radionuclide has anelectron configuration of 4d 5 5s 2 , which will form complexes with different ligandsand have oxidation rates from +1 to +7. The coordinated complex of technetium-99mhas been utilized in nuclear medicine in tissues and organs (thyroid, red and whiteblood cells, kidneys, brain, myocardial, and bone). The resulting kit production musthave based on Good Manufacturing Practice, which consists of batch planning, washing, sterilization of glassware and stopper, starting material, preparation oflarge quantities of the solution, sterile filtration, dispensing, crimping, a summary ofprocess control, quarantine, packaging and leaving the production premises.

Abstract

Introduction: The problem of using addictive substances, especially alcohol in Indonesia, is still a serious health problem. Since 2013, data on the proportion of alcoholic drink consumption in Indonesia has been found to have increased in 32 provinces in Indonesia. Alcohol consumption not only causes physical problems, but also mental disorders, triggers acts of violence, and disturbs other aspects of life. One of the psychiatric disorders that arise due to the abuse of alcoholic beverages is depression. If not treated immediately, depression can lead to suicidal thoughts that threaten the individual and have an impact on those around him. The aim of this study was to examine the level of alcohol consumption and its relationship to the level of depression. Methods: This study is an analytical study with a quantitative cross-sectional survey design. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling using the AUDIT questionnaire for the level of alcohol consumption, and BDI-II for the level of depression. Results: The research sample was obtained as many as 30 respondents. The results of the two-variable analysis using the somer test showed that there was no significant relationship between the level of alcohol use and the level of depression. Conclusion: In this study, there was no statistically significant relationship between the level of alcohol use and the level of depression in individuals who used multiple substances.

Abstract

A B S T R A C TIntroduction: IPSS is the gold standard in measuring clinical symptoms of BPH. 1Prostate volume has been said to have a close relationship with the development ofBPH. 9 The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between prostate volumeas measured by transabdominal ultrasonography (TAUS) and transrectal (TRUS) to thedegree of IPSS. Methods: An analytic observational study with a cross sectional designwas carried out on 303 BPH patients at the General Hospital of Kariadi Hospital,Semarang. The data obtained from the TAUS, TRUS and IPSS prostate volume wereobtained from medical records for the period 2015 - 2020. The data were then analyzedby using the chi square test. Results: Patients with BPH have a TAUS prostate volumein classification I of 0 people 0%, classification II of 16 people (5.3%), classification IIIof 96 people (31.7%), classification IV of 102 people (33.7%) and classification V of 89people (29.4%). While TRUS in classification I was 0% (0 people), classification II was11 people (3.6%), classification III was 92 people (30.4%), classification IV was 110people (36.3%) and classification V of 90 people (29.7%). IPSS obtained severe IPSSdegrees, namely 192 people (63.4%), moderate degrees of 111 people (36.6%), and milddegrees 0% (0 people). The results of the Chi Square test obtained a p-value of 0.000(p <0.05), indicating that there was a significant relationship between prostate volume, whether examined by transabdominal or transrectal ultrasound, and the degree ofIPSS. The correlation coefficient r = 0.925 indicates a very strong relationship betweenprostate volume as measured by both transabdominal and transrectal ultrasound withthe degree of IPSS, a positive result shows that the increase in prostate volume, thedegree of IPSS will also increase. Conclusion: There is a significant relationshipbetween prostate volume as measured by both TAUS and TRUS and the degree of IPSS.

Abstract

A B S T R A C TThe causes of sarcopenia are thought to be multifactorial including: environmentalfactors, illness, activation of inflammatory pathways, mitochondrial dysfunction, lossof neuromuscular junctions, reduced number of satellite cells and changes in thequality of hormonal function. The mechanism of sarcopenia occurs because the agingprocess coupled with reduced physical activity can cause the formation of cytokinesto increase so that inflammation is easy, insulin resistant, anabolic resistance andneuromuscular impairments.
