Abstract

Students' science literacy skills in Indonesia are still low. This is evidenced by studies conducted by PISA every three years. There needs to be an update of the learning model to improve students' science literacy skills. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia caused learning to be done remotely. This study aims to produce appropriate learning devices that can be used during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is Research and Development which is modified into eight research steps. The research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year in the XII MIPA 1 and XII MIPA 3 classes of SMA N 1 Karangrayung. Data retrieval using questionnaires, interviews, and tests. The characteristics of the learning devices developed in this study were designed with a flipped classroom model that starts with self-asynchronous, then continues synchronous learning, and ends with collaborative asynchronous. The results showed (1) components of learning devices consisting of syllabus, RPP, LKS, and evaluation tools were declared very feasible by experts; (2) the components of the learning device get excellent response by the biology teacher and get an excellent response from the student. Based on these results, the learning devices developed are very feasible to be used in the process of online learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know about the Daily Deuteronomy (UH) Of Integrated Science Students Grade VIII SMP Negeri 7 Kerinci Year Point 2020/2021 which is from the higher validity, reliability, differentiation and difficulty level. This research is quantitative research with descriptive method. Mata in this study students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 7 Kerinci Year Story 2020/2021 which amounted to 50 students and objects in this study is the question and answer Key Deuteronomy (UH) Mata Sekolah IPA Terpadu VIII Class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Kerinci Year Story 2020/2021 which consists of 20 Ways of collecting data which way. Analyze data by means of spss program help version 24.0 and Microsoft Excel. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that valid question items amounted to 11 questions with a percentage of 55 percent at number 1,2,3,4,7,9,10,11,14,16,19 with criteria ≥ 0.2787, while the invalid question amounts to 9 questions with 45% points at 5,6,8,12,13,15,17,18,20 with criteria < 0.2787. Daily Deuteronomy Problem Reliability (UH) This Integrated IPA Value Currency has a Value of Cronbach’s Alpha or s 0.70 and is disp above the reliability criteria that is a matter of whether reliability is high. On the differentiation of the question that is classified as good as 45 % of the 20 points of multiple choice questions at this time high learners with low group learners. The question item which is the question which is a good differentiator or the proportion of the index derimination of the problem in the sub-district is high. And the index of difficulty of good questions that are classified as being greater than the problem that is classified as difficult is from 20 points of multiple choice questions 13 points of questions (65%) relatively easy.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to develop Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on the Outdoor Learning Process (OLP) and an Atlas of Biological Diversity of Biological Learning Material and to analyze the feasibility level of Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on The out Door Learning Process (OLP) and The Atlas of Biodiversity. The type of the study is Research and Development (R&D) with the research design is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The stage of study analysis was carried out by observing the types of plants, animals, fungi, and algae poured into student worksheet and Atlas of Biodiversity and observing the necessity of the student. The second and the third stages was designing and developing with the main focus to develop a product according to the direction and corrections of the material expert validator and the media expert validator. The following stage was Implementation step which was carried out in SMAN 3 Demak Students class XII MIPA 1, XII MIPA 3, and XII MIPA 6 to determine the level of student knowledge about Science Process Skill (KPS) after they read the LKPD and the Atlas of Biodiversity. Furthermore, at the stage Evaluation, an evaluation of the product developed was carried out in order to obtain a final product that is suitable for application in learning activities. The mean percentage score of the material expert validator was 82.95%, the mean percentage score of the media expert validator was 91.5%, the mean score of teacher validation was 77.5% , the mean score of teacher responses was 80% and the mean score of student responses was 81,96%. Based on the result of the study, it is concluded that the LKPD and the Atlas of biodiversity are very suitable for use. The test results of 40 ecosystem material questions given to 60 students obtained low results with a percentage of 33.35%, meaning that LKPD needed to be applied directly in order to increase students' knowledge of science process skills..

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the student scientific literacy competence abilities in 11th grade SMAN 1 Bangsri Jepara on the digestive system material and the factors that influence it. The research method uses quantitative descriptive with survey techniques. The sample was 143 science students of 11th grade SMAN 1 Bangsri Jepara in the 2020/2021 academic year. Instruments are science literacy competence test totaling 30 multiple choice and questionnaire for student responses related to learning. The results of students scientific literacy competence ability in SMAN 1 Bangsri Jepara on the digestive system material were overall good. Students are able to remember, apply scientific knowledge; explain the implications of the article; identify and produce explanatory models; ensure objectivity, analyze, describe, and infer data; evaluate and propose ways of scientific investigation; identify problems, assumptions, arguments and scientific evidence. However, the ability of students is still lacking in determining the right predictions; propose a hypothesis; and evaluating descriptions from different sources.The factors that affect students scientific literacy competence are, learning models, teaching materials, evaluation questions, and practicum on the digestive system material.

Abstract

Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) approach on student's critical thinking skills in the respiratory system. This research conducted at SMA N 1 Ungaran in the even semester of the 2020/2021 school year. The research design was a pre-experimental type One-group pre-test-post-test design. The population was all students of class XI MIPA SMA N 1 Ungaran. The samples of this research were students of class XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2, and XI MIPA 3 who were taken by purposive random sampling technique. The result showed that the students' critical thinking skills, based on the N-gain test, the percentage of students who categorized medium to high criteria was 94.44%. The students who achieved classical completeness were 87.96%. The average percentage achievement of critical thinking skills indicators were 1) analyzes arguments of 91.66% is in a very good category, 2) considers reliable or not reliable sources of 90.75% is in the very good category, 3) induces and considering the result of induction of 80.83% is in a good category, 4) defines the problem and considering the definition of 90.80% is in the good category, and 5) determines an action of 92.00% is in the very good category. Students and teachers gave positive responses to Treffinger's learning model using the JAS approach. This research concludes is that the implementation of the Treffinger learning model using the JAS approach is proven to improve the critical thinking skills of high school students on the respiratory system subject. To an extent, the highest category was discovered in the indicators of determining action and the lowest category was found in the indicators of inducing and considering the results of induction

Abstract

The results of interviews with biology teachers at SMA N 1 Bangsri showed that 69.4% of X MIPA students received incomplete scores on the Plantae material. This is because the media is not used that can guide students in classifying the plants in the school environment according to the expected competencies. This study aims to identify the diversity of plants in SMA Bangsri. This research aims to identify the diversity of plants found in SMA Bangsri and to analyze the validity and practicality of the plant diversity media and plant determination key as a classification guide, which will be used in the SETS approach of Plantae learning. This research, which was implemented at SMA N 1 Bangsri, used the Research and Development method with the following steps: identification of potentials and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, product revision, and small-scale trials. Small-scale trials of plant diversity media and the plant determination key were carried out on 36 students of XI MIPA 5 using a practicality questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the plants diversity in SMAN 1 Bangsri includes 92 types of plants consisting of 6 divisions namely Bryophyta, Pteridophyta, Coniferophyta, Cycadophyta, Gnetophyta, and Magnoliophyta. Validity of the plant diversity media and the plant determination key according to the material validator is 91.67%, the media validator is 96.67% with ‘very valid’ criteria. While the media practicality assessment by 69.4% of students stated that the media was ‘very practical’ and 30.6% of students stated that the media was ‘practical’, and teacher assessing the media 93.75% with very practical criteria.This shows that the plant diversity media and the plant determination key are very valid and practical for students to use in the Plantae learning using the SETS approach in X grade.

Abstract

This study aims to find out science learning based on local wisdom in environmental conservation during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a type of meta-analysis research. The sample of this research comes from 30 articles of reputable national and international journals. The data sources were obtained from the google scholar database, Sciencedirect, Wiley of Taylor, IEEE, and Eric. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The selection of this sample is related to learning science based on local wisdom in environmental conservation efforts. The data analysis technique is the Milles & Huberman model analysis technique which consists of 3 stages, namely reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that science learning based on local wisdom was very good for environmental preservation in Covid-19, the effect size value was 0.923 in the high category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses pengembangan dan keefektifan media Digital Games Based Learning (DGBL) pada pembelajaran sistem reproduksi manusia di SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D). Ada dua tahapan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu tahap proses pengembangan media DGBL (identifikasi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba skala kecil, dan revisi produk) dan uji efektivitas (uji pemakaian, revisi produk, dan produk akhir). Dalam penelitian ini efektivitas diukur dari siswa yang nilainya ?75 mencapai 75% total siswa, siswa yang memiliki minat baik mencapai 75% total siswa, dan siswa yang   sangat aktif mencapai 75% total siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media DGBL efektif dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi sistem reproduksi manusia di SMP. The study is aimed to analyze the process of development and effectiveness of DGBL media in human’s reproduction material in Junior High School. This is a Research and Development (R&D) work. There are two steps in conducting this research, the first one is the process of developing DGBL media (potential and problem identification, data collection, product design, design validation, limited scale trial, and product revising). The second one is effectiveness test (test of usage, product revising, dan final product). In the study the effectiveness is measured from students attaining grade ?75 covering 75% of the total students, students who have good interest reaching out 75% of the total students, and students who are very active and reach out 75% of the total students. According to the result of the study the DGBL media is effective and feasible to use as the learning media in the human’s reproduction material in Junior High School.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan permainan Pictorial Concept Card  (PICOCA) sebagai media pembelajaran materi organisasi kehidupan terhadap aktivitas, motivasi belajar, kerjasama kelompok dan hasil belajar siswa kelas imersi di SMP 1 weleri. Penelitian ini termasuk tru-eksperimental  dengan rancangan post-test design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, angket dan tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai hasil belajar kelas eksperimen berbeda signifikan dari hasil belajar kelas kontrol dan rata-rata aktivitas, kerjasama dan motivasi siswa mecapai 80% kriteria sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media permainan PICOCA berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar dan berpengaruh sangat tinggi terhadap aktivitas, kerjasama dan motivasi siswa pada materi organisasi kehidupan kelas imersi di SMP 1 Weleri. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Picoca Concept Card (PICOCA) game as learning medium  on Lift Organization learning material in terms of  students’ activities and motivation, as well as teamwork and learning achievements  from immersion classes of students  at Yunior Highschool  SMP 1 Weleri, Central Java. The study was a true experiment followed by post-tests. Data were collected through observation, questionnaire, and written tests. Results showed that the mean of the student’s  achievements of the experimental class was significantly higher than that of the control class. And the student’s activity, motivation and teamwork in the experimental class were scored at 80% or categorized as “very high”. It was concluded that PICOCA game had  significant effect on the student’s achievements, and strongly influenced the student’s activity, motivation and teamwork in learning the living organization of immersion classes in SMP 1 Weleri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pendekatan Problem-based Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan analisis siswa SMA 1 Ambarawa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Experimental Design dengan pola Pre and Post-test Design yang diterapkan pada kelas X-7 sebagai  kelompok  kontrol  dan  X-8 sebagai  kelompok  eksperimen,  pada  materi  pencemaran lingkungan.  Teknik Pengambilan sampel  menggunakan  purposive  sampling.  Data  tingkat keterlaksanaan  PBL  diperoleh  melalui  lembar  observasi.  Data  jumlah  solusi  siswa  dikumpulkan dengan  angket  dan  lembar  observasi.  Data  kemampuan  analisis  siswa  dikumpulkan  dengan  tes. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Data dianalisis dengan uji t dan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil observasi  menunjukkan  tingkat  keterlaksanaan  PBL  tergolong  tinggi  (81,1%).  Hasil  uji  t menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata dari kedua kelompok (thitung>ttabel). Uji regresi linier sederhana mengindikasikan bahwa PBL berpengaruh nyata pada kemampuan analisis siswa (nilai sig.<0,05, r kuadrat  0,281).  Simpulan  dari  penelitian  ini  adalah  penerapan  pendekatan  PBL  berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan analisis siswa.   This research aimed to determine the effect of the implementation of Problem-based Learning (PBL) approaches of teaching on student’s analysis skills at SMA 1 Ambarawa. This study was a Quasi Experimental Design with Pre and Post-test Design which was applied on X-7 as a control group and  X-8 as a experimental group. The subject studied was Environmental Pollution. Sample was collected with a purposive sampling technique. Data  of  the  implementation  of  PBL  approaches  were  collected  by  observation  sheet.  Questionaire  and observation sheet were used to collect student’s solutions skills. Test was used to collect data of student’s analysis skills scores. Data were analyzed by using quantitative methods. Data were analyzed by t-test and simple linear regression test. The findings showed that level of implementation of PBL approaches were high (81.1%). T-test result showed that there was a significant difference between both groups (tcount>ttable). Simple linear regression test indicated that PBL brought a significant effect on students’s analysis s kills (probability sig.<0.05, r square 0.281). The conclusion of this research was that implementation of PBL approaches had a positive effect on student’s analysis skills
