Abstract

The Existence of Agricultural Sector in Bangli Regency Economic Structure Contribution of agricultural sector to economy of Bangli Regency has decreased during 2011-2015 with relatively slow growth. This condition indicates that there has been a structural transformation of the economy, therefore it is necessary to analyze the existence of agricultural sector in terms of its current and future role whether it is still a leading sector or will turn into non-leading sectors. This study uses secondary data in the form of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) by industry of Bangli Regency and Bali Province in 2011-2015. The data were collected by using document study and analyzed by Location Quotient, Dynamic Location Quotient and Total Shift Share method. The results showed that the agricultural sector is the basis sector in Bangli Regency today and in the future. While the sub sectors in agricultural sector that become the basis is seasonal horticultural crops, annual horticulture and other crops, livestock and forestry and logging. Sub sectors in agriculture sector which are predicted to change the role in the future are food crops, annual plantation and fishery that changes role become basis sector were caused by the location factor. While the annual horticulture sub-sector and livestock are changed into non-basis sub-sectors were caused by the economic structure factor.

Abstract

Socio-Economic Impact Partnership KUD Tani Makmur with PT. NestleIndonesia (Case Study in Kandang Tepus Village, Senduro Sub-District, Lumajang Regency)One form of relationship between subsystems in the agribusiness system is the relationship between dairy farmers, dairy cow cooperatives, and the Milk ProcessingIndustry (IPS). One of the dairy cow milk cooperatives in partnership with IPS is theKUD Tani Makmur in Kandang Tepus Village, Senduro District, Lumajang Regency.KUD Tani Makmur in running his dairy cow business in partnership with PT. NestleIndonesia.The partnership between KUD Tani Makmur and Nestle is contractual, inwhich this partnership impacts socially and economically for cooperatives. The purposeof this study was to determine the social and economic impacts of KUD Tani Makmurbecause they partnered with Nestle.The research method used for social impact isqualitative. Whereas for economic impacts quantitative analysis and trend analysis areused. The results of the analysis show that there is a change in knowledge, attitudes, andactions of cooperative employees and members. This change is positive. In addition,there are changes in positive social values and norms and institutions. The economicimpact obtained is also positive, the cooperative has increased income, the number of members of the cooperative, the development of physical cooperatives. The SHUobtained by cooperatives in the 2013-2016 period fluctuated, which in 2015 experienceda decline. This extension is due to the lack of proper implementation of cooperativestrategies in dealing with competitors. The positive impact of social and economicneeds to be maintained, while to overcome competitors need to know the weaknessesand strengths of competitors so as not to implement a strategy that is inappropriate.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Study on Implementation of Agro Commodities Auction Market in The Industry and Trade Service of The Province of Bali In the marketing of agricultural products, the most common problem was the gap of unfair of price that accepted by producer farmers by prices paid by the final consumer. Various reasons that lead to margin of trading system, that are weak bargaining position of farmers, farmers tend subject to the buyer rule, the cost of transport from production centers to the end of consumer market. Work program in the Industry and Trade service of the Province of Bali was conduct activity of agro commodities auction market, which is one of medium to aid to facilitate the meeting of buyers and sellers directly. The aim of this study was to find out the implementation of agro commodities auction market conducted by the Industry and Trade service as well as the constraints in conduct activity of the agro commodity auction market. Locations of study were selected by purposive sampling. Data collected by the method of observation, in-depth interviews and documentary study. Data have been analyzed descriptively. The results of study showed that the performance of auction market not yet to show maximum results. Levels of productivity were very high fluctuation for each implementation.  Problems of fail to deliver and fail to pay occur estimated very low integrity and credible participants, the constraints in the implementation of agro commodity auction market was weak underwriting system, uncertain membership, the formulation of quality standards, as well as the types of commodities that enter the auction market. Implication of important policy will be done by formulate quality standards, priorities of traded commodity, and maximize the role of private sector. Abstract

The Behavior of Farmers toward Animal Feed Processing Technology of Rice Straw Fermentation (A Case at Simantri 222 of Farmers’ Group of Sriasih in Pohsanten Village, SubDistrict of Mendoyo, Regency of Jembrana.)By the development of the agricultural sector in the Province of Bali, the Bali Provincial Government has implemented an integrated agriculture system, better known as Simantri whose aim is to support the development of farming in an integrated manner to the local potentials by increasing incomes as one of the supporting government programs to reduce poverty, integrating farming crops and cattle, and initiating the development of integrated sustainable agriculture in order to increase revenue. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of farmers’ behavior in Simantri 222 towards the development of fermented animal feed processing technology. The scope of this research was the study of the behavior (knowledge, attitudes, skills) of farmers toward the fermented feed processing technologies implemented by the members of Simantri 222 of farmers’ group of Sriasih of Pohsanten Village, Mendoyo Sub-District of Jembrana Regency. This study used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the behavior of members of Simantri on the fermented animal feed processing technologies found at Simantri 222 was classified as good category, with the score of knowledge of 3.93, while the score of attitude of 3.97 and the score of application of 4.16. Of the three components of behaviors (knowledge, attitude, and skills), it can be concluded that the behavior of farmers was classified as good category, by score of 4.02. For improving the behavior of members Simantri 222 of fermented animal feed processing, to be very well expected that extension can provide re-training in order for members to better understand the technology Simantri given.

Abstract

AbstractAnalysis of Structure, Conduct, and Market Performance chili in Bayung Gede Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency.The research was done in Bayung Gede Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency. The study aims to determine the structure, conduct, and market performance. Data used is the qualitative and quantitative data. The results showed there are three types of marketing channels. Total of marketing agencies consisting of one person collector traders at once merchants inter-city and inter-island traders, and two retailers. Duopoly market structure shaped. Pricing is determined by the standard operational procedures (SOP) prices based on farmer’s recommendation. Market performance is measured by the analysis of marketing margin, the farmer's share, and marketing efficiency. At the first marketing channel marketing margin is IDR 3,000 with the farmer's share of 86.96% and 3.38% marketing efficiency, the second marketing channel marketing margin is IDR 5,000 with the farmer's share of 80% and 7.15% marketing efficiency, the third marketing channel marketing margin is IDR 15,000 with the farmer's share of 57.14% and 8.32% marketing efficiency. Abstract

Perception Farmers Against Availability Infrastructures in Subak BabakanBengkel I Village Getasan Sub District Petang Badung. Agriculture in a broad sense includes smallholder agriculture, plantation, forestry,animal husbandry and fishery. Facilities and infrastructure are all things that are used asa tool in achieving the objectives of farmers in Subak Babakan Bengkel I VillageGetasan to support developments in running the farm. Based on this expected that thedevelopments in the availability of facilities and infrastructure in the farming. Based onthe above problems, the purpose of this study was to determine the perception offarmers on the availability of facilities and infrastructure of farming in Subak BabakanBengkel I Village Getasan Sub District Petang Badung. To prepare a good questionnairerequired some testing prior to conducting the study. Testing the questionnaire usingSPSS. The variable in this study is the perception of farmers on the availability offacilities and infrastructure of farming in Subak Babakan Bengkel I Village Getasan SubDistrict Petang Badung. Indicators of this study include the availability of means ofproduction, namely seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, plant growth regulator and inoculant.Alsintan (agricultural machinery), ie sprayer, power weeder, emposan tikus, reaper,tractors and power threaser. Network infrastructure includes farm roads, halls Subak,and irrigation canals. To maintain and increase the availability of facilities andinfrastructure in Subak Babakan Bengkel I of both categories should be excellentfarmers complementary facilities and infrastructure that can greatly help in a timeefficient and agricultural work in Subak

Abstract

Effectiveness of Marketing Communication for KUAT Cooperative Production of Rice Seedsat Subak of Guama KUAT Cooperative of Guama Subak manages a business unit carried out by Subak ofGuama, one of which is an effort to breed rice seeds. The purpose of this research is todetermine the communication competencies of the marketing officer of the KUATCooperative of Guama Subak so that the seeds produced can be sold very well and tofind out how effective the marketing communication of the KUAT Cooperative ofGuama Subak is on rice seed products.Communication is said to be effective if there arecognitive, affective, and conative indicators. The study took place in the KUATCooperative, Subak of Guama, Marga Sub-District, Tabanan Regency. The purpose ofthis study was to determine the communication competencies of marketing officers anddetermine the effectiveness of rice seed marketing communications carried out byKUAT Cooperative of Subak of Guama. The method used is a qualitative descriptiveanalysis method. Based on the results of the study, the communication competence ofthe KUAT rice seed marketing officer of Guama Subak was classified as highlycompetent with an average score of 23.37. The effectiveness of marketingcommunication is categorized as very effective with an average score of 77.3. Theeffectiveness of communication is shown cognitive indicators, consumers know thecharacteristics of rice seeds. Affective indicators, consumers are happy and interested inrice seeds and conative indicators, consumers decide to buy and use rice seeds.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Optimalization of Farming System on Members of Catur Amerta Farmer Group in Sebudi Village, Selat District, Karangasem Regency The development of agriculture in this time strived to realize agriculture vision 2025 which aims to sustainable agriculture and can guarantee food resilience and also prosperity of farmer. One of the way to reached the vision is by optimization the integrated farming system that conducted by all farmer, including in Bali, especially in Karangasem Regency. Accordingly, a research is needed on farmer group member of Catur Amerta Sari in Sebudi Village, Selat District, Karangasem Regency. This research aims to know the actual earnings, the optimal model, and maximum earnings of integrated farming system which obtained with analysis of optimization toward 28 farmer group member of Catur Amerta Sari. Integrated farming system that conducted by responder is chili, tomato, gumitir flower, cabbage, and cattle rearing. Data type that used is data qualitative and quantitative, while data collected used field study and bibliography study method. Data processed with Gross Margin analysis and Linear Programming. Result of Gross Margin analysis indicate that highest earnings obtained by tomato in Cropping Season 1, the lowest earning obtained by cabbage Cropping Season of MT 2, while the actual gross margin is Rp 34,346,985.12. Based on result of optimization using the program of BLPX88, maximum earnings that can be obtained is equal to Rp 35,166,200.00 with the average 0.444 ha of the land cultivated per years by planting chili in Cropping Season 1, Cropping Season 2, Cropping Season 3; tomato in Cropping Season 1, Cropping Season 2, Cropping Season 3, gumitir flower in Cropping Season 1, Cropping Season 2, Cropping Season 3, cabbage in Cropping Season 2, and cattle rearing yearly. Respondents suggested that to apply optimal integrated farming system as according to result of analysis of optimization so that the farmers get maximum results. Besides, the respondents suggested not to rent labors because the labors in family still available. Keywords: optimalization, diversified farm enterprise system, gross margin, linear programming.

Abstract

Implementation of Rice Farming Ritual at Subak of Urban and Rural Areas Case: Subak Ayung at BudukVillage Mengwi District and Subak Sulangai at Sulangai Village District of Petang Badung RegencyCultural diversity provides vivid colors in every area as a tradition that characterizes each tribe in Indonesia. Bali historically has had a tradition, culture, and religious commitment in the form of an organization called Subak. The belief of Subak members in conceiving land as Mother Nature, water as a symbol of Lord Vishnu, and rice as Goddess Sri strengthens the existence of Hinduism-based Subak cultural wisdom. Implementation of ritual activities in the paddy rice farming in Subak of urban and rural areas is not known with certainty. Based on these descriptions, it is interesting to note the implementation and ritual differences of rice farming of Subak in urban and rural areas. The aim of research was to determine the implementation and ritual differences of rice farming on the Subak Ayung and Subak Sulangai. The sampling method was done by using quota sampling, each with 50 respondents. The key informants were pekaseh (Subak head) and management of Subak Ayung and Subak Sulangai. Implementation of ritual activities in paddy rice farming in Subak near urban areas the case of Subak Ayung with the average achievement, the percentage score of 66.50% in the medium category and Subak Sulangai amounted to 72.85% belonging to the frequent/ good category. Subak of rural areas tended to have better ritual implementation compared with Subak of urban areas by a margin of 6.35%. Based on the results of the study, it is expected that Subak Ayung and Subak Sulangai members are more frequent / better to perform rituals of paddy rice farming so as to preserve the culture of Subak.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Inventory Control Of Raw Material Of Salt Coarse In UD. Petasikan Pesanggaran, South Denpasar Raw material is one the most important factors in the production process, therefore, the inventory of the raw material demands to be controlled, in order not only to avoid surplus and/or deficiency of the raw material but also to make the total inventory cost more efficient. The research is conducted in UD. Petasikan Pesanggaran, South Denpasar with a view to know the production process of fine salt in the company, to analyze the inventory of the raw material and the total of efficient inventory cost. The research makes use of descriptive quantitative method. The result of the research shows that: 1) the company should have gained the total economic order quantity (EOQ) as much as 101.04 tons per one-time booking; 2) the company should have kept at least 7.04 tons of the total safety stock; 3) the company should have done reordering (reorder point) when the total basic commodity reached 14.08 tons, and 4) the company should have gained the total of maximum inventory as much as 108.08 tons. Based on the analysis of the efficient supply of raw material, the researcher knows that the total inventory costs need to be incurred by the company during the period amounted               Rp. 6,375,460.46 resulting in saving of Rp. 2,332,739.54 or as much as 26,79 % of production cost. In  conclusion, the use of economic order quantity (EOQ) method continuously is considerably very beneficial for the company because it can determine the total purchase of raw material economically and reduce the excessive inventory cost.
