Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of perennialism educational philosophy to the Islamic Religious Education curriculum. The research is motivated by the emergence of various moral crises, individualism, hedonism, and the decline of spiritual awareness in modern education, which require the strengthening of moral and spiritual values within the educational process. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research methods. The research data were obtained through documentation studies of various primary and secondary sources related to perennialism philosophy and the Islamic Religious Education curriculum. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques through stages of data organization, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing using deductive and inductive approaches. The results of the study indicate that perennialism educational philosophy has strong relevance to the Islamic Religious Education curriculum, particularly in the aspects of educational objectives, learning materials, teaching methods, and character building. Perennialism emphasizes the importance of universal and eternal values as the foundation of education in shaping moral, wise, and spiritually aware individuals. These values are aligned with the objectives of Islamic Religious Education, which focus on developing faith, piety, and noble character. In addition, learning methods such as role modeling, habituation, and moral reflection are considered consistent with the principles of perennialist education. This study provides theoretical contributions to the development of Islamic educational philosophy studies as well as practical contributions to the development of Islamic Religious Education curricula and learning processes that are more oriented toward strengthening students’ character and spirituality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the discovery learning method in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SDN 89 Rejang Lebong. The research employed a qualitative field research approach to obtain an in-depth understanding of the learning process carried out in the classroom. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Islamic Religious Education teachers and students as research subjects. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results showed that the implementation of discovery learning was carried out systematically through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The application of this method succeeded in increasing students’ learning motivation, activeness, critical thinking skills, collaboration, and self-confidence during the learning process. Teachers acted as facilitators who guided students in discovering concepts independently through discussions, observations, and problem-solving activities. The findings indicate that discovery learning creates a more interactive, student-centered, and meaningful learning environment in Islamic Religious Education. This study contributes theoretically to strengthening constructivist learning theory and practically provides an alternative innovative learning strategy for improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education learning planning at SMP IT Al-Husna Lebong. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytical research design to obtain an in-depth understanding of the preparation and implementation of Lesson Plans (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran / RPP) in the learning process. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Islamic Religious Education teachers as the research subjects. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques through descriptive qualitative analysis. The findings revealed that the teachers had prepared lesson plans in accordance with the required learning components, including learning objectives, materials, methods, learning activities, and evaluation. The implementation of lesson plans helped teachers conduct learning activities in a more systematic, effective, and directed manner. Teachers also applied various learning methods, such as lectures, discussions, group work, and assignments to enhance students’ participation in the learning process. However, the study also found several obstacles, including limited learning facilities, lack of mastery of innovative learning methods, and the tendency to use lesson plans merely as administrative requirements without optimal implementation. This study contributes theoretically to the development of studies on the effectiveness of learning planning in Islamic Religious Education and practically provides insights for teachers and educational institutions to improve the quality of lesson plan preparation and implementation.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of educational methods in the perspective of the Qur'an and its role in improving the quality of learning. This research uses a qualitative approach to the type of library research, studying relevant literature to gain an in-depth understanding of the methods of education in the Qur'an. The methods identified include dialogue, matching, jidal, narrative, parable, and targhib as well as tarib. Each method has special benefits in raising motivation, facilitating understanding, and creating a conducive learning atmosphere. By applying the right methods, educators can the desired educational goals and help students develop optimally in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning motivation on students’ learning concentration. Learning motivation is one of the important factors that can influence students’ ability to focus during the learning process. This research employed a quantitative approach using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents and analyzed using SmartPLS software. The learning motivation variable was measured through several indicators related to students’ learning encouragement, while the learning concentration variable was measured through indicators of students’ focus and attention during the learning process. The results showed that learning motivation had a positive and significant effect on students’ learning concentration with a path coefficient value of 0.821, a t-statistics value of 18.819, and a p-values value of 0.000. In addition, the R-square value of 0.677 indicated that learning motivation was able to explain 67.7% of students’ learning concentration. The findings also demonstrated that all indicators met the validity and reliability requirements, indicating that the research model was appropriate for use. Therefore, learning motivation is an important factor in improving students’ learning concentration during the learning process. Schools and teachers are expected to enhance students’ learning motivation through engaging learning strategies and a conducive learning environment.
