Abstract

This study aims to analyze how neuroparenting principles can be enriched through Qur'anic parenting values based on Hamka's Tafsir Al-Azhar. This study uses the thematic interpretation method (*tafsir maudhu'i*) with a qualitative approach. Primary data consists of Qur'anic verses related to childcare and Tafsir Al-Azhar as the main source of interpretation, while secondary data are obtained from books, journal articles, and scientific literature discussing neuroparenting, neuroscience, Islamic education, and childcare. Data collection is carried out through documentation studies by tracing, identifying, and inventorying verses and literature relevant to the research theme. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, theme categorization, interpretation of verses based on Tafsir Al-Azhar, and comparative analysis with the concept of neuroparenting in modern neuroscience studies. The results of the study indicate that the concept of neuroparenting in the Qur'an as interpreted by Hamka emphasizes the balance between the development of reason, heart, and faith in the formation of a child's personality. Hamka views parenting as an educational process encompassing cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and moral aspects, grounded in monotheism, compassion, wisdom, and exemplary behavior. These findings demonstrate a strong relevance between modern neuroparenting principles and Quranic parenting values. This research contributes to the development of a Quranic neuroparenting paradigm that integrates scientific and spiritual approaches as a foundation for holistic childcare in the modern era.

Abstract

This paper examines Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid’s thought on the textuality of the Qur'an, offering a new approach to understanding the Qur'an as both a cultural and a revelatory text. Employing a literature review method, this study explores the origins of the concept of textuality in linguistics and literary studies, its application in Qur'anic studies, and provides a critical analysis of Abu Zaid’s ideas. The findings reveal that Abu Zaid’s textual approach opens possibilities for a more contextual and dynamic reading of the Qur'an while maintaining its sacred status as divine revelation. Nevertheless, this approach has been criticized for potentially obscuring the transcendental dimension of revelation. The study projects the need for a new approach that reconciles the sacred, historical, and social dimensions of the Qur'an to ensure that the understanding of the sacred text remains authentic and relevant in the context of modern times

Abstract

The issue of meditation continues to grow in the world because meditation is a solution for solving problems in the modern era to calm the mind and soul. Historically meditation originated outside Islam, but in its development it has become the property of all religions. This means that the principles of meditation are still recognized, but its implementation is in accordance with the Shari'a that has been regulated by the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet. So in Islam there is a sign of harmony between the types of meditation and the worship carried out by Muslims such as prayer, meditation, dhikr, thanksgiving and itikaf. There are findings that meditation in Islam is different from meditation from other beliefs such as Christian, Buddhist and Javanese meditation. Then integrate it with Tafsȋr Ibnu Katsȋr as a classical mufassir and Hamka who is present as a reforming mufassir who contextualizes tafakur in an Indonesian context

Abstract

This papper is an attempt to integrate the method of interpreting the Al-Qur'an developed by Nasr Hâmid Abû Zaid, namely the theory of takwil al-Qur'an. This study found that the takwil theory that constructed by Nasr Hâmid Abû Zaid emphasizes the importance of paying attention to the role of the author of the text, interpreter and context, as a theory for interpreting the Qur'an. Once applied, this theory can provide an interpretation that can reveal the side of justice in the concept of distribution of inheritance in the study of Islamic law. The approach used in this study is a hermeneutic approach in order to understand the interpretation of religious texts which are considered relevant to the concept of distribution of inheritance in the study of Islam law
