Abstract

To overcome the fossil energy crisis due to the increasing need for electrical energy, new renewable energy sources are needed. Due to technological developments in the fields of transportation, industry, household, and commercial use. Indonesia’s geography has the potential to apply new renewable energy, more specifically photovoltaic (PV). However, it is greatly influenced by environmental factors such as solar radiation, voltage, which have an impact on the output power efficiency and performance. So, it is necessary to test both measurements and calculations to see the optimization of output power and PV efficiency. From previous research, it has not been carried out, especially in the experimental method Universitas Pamulang: measurement and empirical and for a sufficiently high capacity with the aim of optimal output power. Methods of measuring sunlight intensity, voltage and current, the calculation of converting sunlight intensity to solar constellation, power, efficiency, and performance ratio (PR). The average value being 721 W/m2 an efficiency value of 19.9% and a value PR is obtained of 0.967 or 96.7% is still realistic. So that the system is declared optimal.

Abstract

As part of performing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, community service activities were carried out to implement the rejuvenation of electrical installations, additional lights, and fans in Mushola At-Taqwa Rawa Mekar Jaya, South Tangerang with collaboration between the service team and members of DkM Mushola At-Taqwa in order to improve the quality of the mushola environment. These improvement expected to support the implementation of conducive and comfortable praying. The scope of the service carried out includes rejuvenating electrical installations by replacing and fixing electrical installations. Optimizing lighting both in the main room and on the mushola terrace using LED lights so as to give an aesthetic impression and obtain energy efficiency. Adding an electric fan to increase comfort for the congregation during hot weather conditions and remain energy efficient. In addition, a socialization on safe electrical practices was conducted, increasing the awareness of DkM members and the congregation of Mushola At-Taqwa on the correct and good electrical installation standards and their potential hazards. This study contributes to broadening the understanding of the technical and social implementation of community service activities carried out by Pamulang University in the community.

Abstract

Sistem Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) merupakan energi terbarukan yang dapat dikembangkan. PLTS yang akan di bangun di rumah ini dirancang untuk menyuplai energi listrik kebutuhan alat-alat elektronik rumah tangga dan juga penerangan yang terkoneksi dengan system kelistrikan PLN sebagai backup, dalam penelitian ini menentukan luas area modul pv area PLTS spesifikasi komponen dari desain fotovoltaik ini mencakup 17 panel surya dengan daya puncak masing-masing sebesar 100 watt, baterai 100 Ah dengan penggunaan beban yaitu total 1.158 Watt. Total daya yang dibutuhkan sebesar 7.6 Kwh dengan daya yang dihasilkan oleh PLTS adalah sebesar 1652.2 watt. Berdasarkan perhitungan area PV, ditemukan bahwa luasnya mencapai 13.768 meter persegi. Angka ini mencerminkan luas area PV yang diperlukan untuk menghasilkan energi yang dibutuhkan. Daya yang dibangkitkan PLTS untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energy. Maka jumlhan panelnya yaitu 16.5- 17 panel dengan total kapasitas baterai 0.93 A/h dengan jumlah baterai 10 baterai/100 Ah.

Abstract

Electrical energy can encourage economic growth and public knowledge. However, electrical energy also has potential safety hazards if it is mishandled and used. We often hear in the mass media that fires occur due to short circuits or accidents caused by being touched by electric currents which cause injuries and even fatalities. This is because the electrical installation installers are not neat, causing electric current leaks and causing sparks and resulting in fires due to the electrical installation not being in accordance with reference standards. One of the efforts to help the government and the community in installing electricity on a household scale (Domestic), is to carry out Community Service activities at the mosque Al Falah which is located at the Al Falah 2 RT. 005 RW. 009, Pondok Benda, Pamulang, South Tangerang. The method used in this Community Service activity is to invite the community to come to the location where electrical installation repairs will be carried out. This is done so that people know how to install electricity and immediately practice it. The tools and materials that will be used to check and repair electrical installations at the mosque Al Falah include multimeters, test pens, current limiters, fuses, cables, insulation testers, conduit pipes and electrical insulation. The result of this Community Service activity is that the electrical installation at the mosque Al Falah becomes suitable for use in accordance with PUIL 2000.

Abstract

The advancement of electronic technology has significantly impacted human lifestyles, including the development of transformers. Although transformer winding machines have existed previously, the process remains manual and prone to errors. To address this issue, this study focuses on developing an automated copper wire winding system for transformers. The research employs a research and development method, resulting in the design and construction of an automatic transformer winding system. The device utilizes an Arduino microcontroller as its processor and a proximity sensor to detect the number of wire turns. During testing, voltage and current measurements were conducted on transformers produced by the automatic winding machine. The results indicate that the voltage error ranges from approximately 0.16% to 0.9%, while the current error is around 1.5%. By using this automated transformer winding machine, the transformer production process becomes more efficient, accurate, and time-saving. Thus, this tool has the potential to serve as an effective solution for the production of power and distribution transformers for electrical networks.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan sebagai wujud kontribusi akademisi dalam memberikan solusi praktis bagi permasalahan di lingkungan tempat ibadah. Kegiatan berlokasi di Masjid Al-Mukhlisin, Desa Sukatani, Kecamatan Cikande, Kabupaten Serang, Provinsi Banten, yang menjadi pusat aktivitas ibadah, sosial, dan pendidikan keagamaan masyarakat setempat. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya penerangan di area halaman dan parkir masjid, terutama pada malam hari setelah salat Isya. Kondisi gelap tersebut menimbulkan risiko keamanan bagi jamaah yang mengikuti kegiatan malam seperti pengajian, salat tarawih, atau itikaf, serta menyulitkan akses kendaraan dan meningkatkan potensi kecelakaan. Sebagai solusi, kegiatan PKM ini merancang dan menerapkan sistem penerangan otomatis berbasis timer. Teknologi ini dipilih karena sederhana, hemat energi, dan mudah dioperasikan. Lampu penerangan akan menyala dan mati sesuai jadwal yang ditentukan tanpa perlu pengoperasian manual. Tujuan kegiatan ini mencakup peningkatan keamanan dan kenyamanan jamaah, efisiensi penggunaan energi listrik, serta edukasi masyarakat tentang penerapan teknologi tepat guna. Melalui program ini, Masjid Al-Mukhlisin diharapkan memiliki sistem penerangan yang modern, efisien, dan dapat menjadi contoh inovasi bermanfaat bagi lingkungan sekitar.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship in free-range chicken meat is promising for business an entrepreneur. With a high level of interest in meat, you can make a profit. The problem experienced by chicken farmers is that the condition of the chicken eggs that hatch deeply is not seen continuously due to the large number of them, and the lack of attention to temperature when the eggs are hatched. The solution used is to make egg incubator equipment and record the results of hatching eggs, thereby reducing the failure hatching failure rate and the chickens' safety hatch. The use of the method is to analyze the comparison of natural hatching of eggs from hens by comparing the hatching of eggs using incubator equipment. The use of equipment in the incubator includes NodeMCU ESP 8266 as a processor, Current Sensors, Ultrasonic sensors, and lamps as incubator heaters. The aim of the research is to maintain the stability and hatching time of the eggs. Besides that, it can help human performance by recording the time of hatching eggs so there is no loss. This research produced incubator equipment equipped with an IoT system with adjustable temperatures ranging from 380C to 400C using two lamps as heaters and fans as coolers. The average time needed by the heater to raise the temperature from 380C to 40oC is 55 seconds. Tool equipment, namely there is a notification using an ultrasonic sensor that functions as a Buzzer switch when there are chicks in it.

Abstract

The use of environmentally unfriendly chemicals (refrigerants) in Air Conditioners (AC) can damage theozone layer in the earth's atmosphere which has an impact on global warming. Therefore, an environmentallyfriendly cooling system is needed in the application of the Thermo Electric Cooler (TEC) cooling moduletechnology. TEC when supplied with DC voltage (direct current) one side will become hot, while the otherside will be cold, to maximize the cooling process, the hot side of TEC must be lowered as low as possibleby using a fan, heatsink and thermal paste (thermal grease). Using 6 pieces of TEC 12 V 6A, dimensions 40x 40 mm and 4 mm thick. TECs are arranged in parallel and electricity is arranged in series. TEC when thepower supply is connected to an electric current source, operating the 6 TECs attached to the heatsinkarranged in parallel and in series will cause one side to cool down (heat absorbed) and the other side tobecome hot (heat released). What causes the cold side of TEC to cool is the flow of electrons from a higherenergy level to a lower energy level. To find out the temperature of the Peltier cold results using a DHT22sensor with an Arduino microcontroller with a programmed temperature that automatically turns off and on.For the breaker or automatic switch using a 5-volt relay. the use of air conditioners per day (6 hours) issubject to tariffs Rp. 3,212 and the use of air conditioners for a month (30 days) every day the use of 6 hoursis subject to tariffs Rp. 96,360, so as to enjoy a safe and comfortable atmosphere by using environmentallyfriendly and low-cost technology.
