Abstract

Abstract

This study discusses the development and application of a green-economy-oriented deep learning curriculum, namely Literasi Ekonomi Hijau (Economy Green Literacy), in a Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) in Indonesia. The program is designed to integrate Deep Learning with Environmental Sustainability Education to address local environmental issues, including waste management, water conservation, and the adoption of clean energy. Using a participatory, co-creational method, the course features hands-on projects in which learners work on environmentally sustainable initiatives such as upcycling household waste and organic farming. Findings emphasise the transformative effects on participants, including improved environmental understanding, practical skills, and community connectedness. The curriculum design encourages student–led learning and participation in local environmental solutions. This work examines the potential of merging innovative educational approaches and bottom-up sustainability initiatives to promote green economy thinking and the social innovation that follows. The study highlights the role of contextually relevant, interdisciplinary education in equipping the next generation to address environmental issues in a complex, interconnected world.

Abstract

Ecologically Entrepreneurship is an entrepreneurship approach that holistically solves environmental and social problems, creating sustainable and inclusive business models. This research aims to empower vulnerable women in Cigending Village, Bandung, through training based on the zero waste concept and ecological entrepreneurship. Teaching how to process household waste, such as used cooking oil, into valuable products such as aromatherapy candles, the training focused on creating sustainable economic opportunities. The method used in the implementation of this activity is a participatory approach through the stages of planning, execution, evaluation, and mentoring. The results of the training show that participants not only gained practical skills in waste management but also understood the importance of environmental sustainability and the economic potential that can be derived from waste management. Furthermore, this training introduced the concept of ecological entrepreneurship, which can help participants develop environmentally sustainable businesses. In conclusion, empowerment through zero waste training based on ecological entrepreneurship can provide positive impacts on the economy and environment, as well as contribute to improving the welfare of vulnerable women in Cigending Village.   Abstrak Kewirausahaan Ekologis adalah pendekatan kewirausahaan yang memecahkan masalah lingkungan dan sosial secara holistik, menciptakan model bisnis yang berkelanjutan dan inklusif. Abstract

The Community Learning Center (CLC) in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, provides basic education for the children of Indonesian migrant workers, but the teachers face challenges with digital literacy, pedagogical competence, and professional isolation due to the center's remote location on a plantation. This community service activity aims to develop and implement an e-collaborative learning platform to strengthen CLC teachers' competencies through a continuous, technology-integrated capacity-building model. The program is implemented through six participatory stages based on the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and Outcome-Based Education frameworks. This includes a needs analysis, the design of a WordPress-based platform called EduKolab, and interactive training on quality assurance, andragogy, and digital learning for participating teachers. This activity was attended by 20 CLC teachers from various regions in Sabah. The evaluation combined pre- and post-tests with the TPACK Likert-scale instrument and reflective interviews, and analyzed them using N-Gain and thematic analysis. Teachers demonstrated substantial improvements across all competency indicators, reflected in increased digital self-efficacy, the formation of cross-site professional learning communities, and a stronger understanding of andragogical principles in serving adult learners. Integrating TPACK with social constructivism and adult learning principles effectively addresses teacher competency gaps in cross-border educational contexts and offers a replicable model for other CLC.

Abstract

Vocational institutions in Indonesia face a persistent gap between digital marketing competence and Industry 4.0 demands. SMK and LKP An-Nur Ibun in Bandung Regency exemplified this gap: local flagship products were marketed conventionally, with no branding and no managed digital channels. This Community Service (PkM) program aimed to strengthen the vocational digital competence of 45 teachers, tutors, and learners across six areas (vocational digital literacy, digital marketing, branding and value proposition, digital content and AI tools, marketplace management, and affiliate marketing) and to activate an integrated digital marketing channel through the wanojamart.com marketplace and linked social media. We used a one-group pretest-posttest design, with Hake's normalized gain and a Wilcoxon signed-rank test for quantitative evaluation, and thematic analysis for qualitative data. Competence improved significantly across all six areas (Wilcoxon Z = -5.84, p < .001, r = 0.87), with a mean normalized gain of g = 0.68 (medium, approaching high), largest in affiliate marketing (g = 0.71) and digital content and AI tools (g = 0.75); output indicators averaged 97.3% of targets. The model integrating competence strengthening, AI-tools transfer, and marketplace activation within a Teaching Factory scheme shows promise as a replicable empowerment approach for vocational institutions with limited market access.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the characteristics of juvenile delinquency among junior high school students in Bandung City and develop a multi-stakeholder partnership model by implementing state defence training (bela negara) as a preventive instrument. A qualitative approach using Design-Based Research (DBR) was employed, comprising needs analysis, model design, implementation and pilot testing, and evaluation and refinement, involving eight public junior secondary schools, with eight teachers and school counsellors (one per school) as key informants alongside students and cross-sector partners. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and focus group discussions, and analysed using thematic analysis. The findings identified five key themes underlying juvenile delinquency. The study produced a multi-stakeholder partnership model that integrates collaborative governance, character education, and state defence training within an experiential learning framework. Observation checklists and teachers' field notes during the pilot indicated positive changes in students' discipline, responsibility, and national awareness, suggesting that the model is a promising preventive strategy that warrants further testing with comparative designs before wider adoption in regional education policy.
