Abstract

The white oyster mushroom business can be said to be successful if the business can provide optimal results. Optimal results are determined from the income earned and the feasibility level of the business being run. This study aims to determine the Revenue and Feasibility of the White Oyster Mushroom Business in the Kupang Mushroom Muri Business. The research location is at the Kupang Mushroom Muri Business which was determined intentionally (purposive sampling). Data analysis was carried out using the Quantitative Method, namely income analysis, and financial feasibility which was analyzed using the investment criteria analysis method. The results of this study show that the income earned by the owner of the White Oyster Mushroom Business in 2022 is Rp. 68,242,952. The results of the financial feasibility analysis show an NPV value of Rp.329,854,793, Net B/C of 5, IRR of 23%, and Payback Period of 1 year and 7 months. From the results of this analysis it is known that the White Oyster Mushroom Business at Muri Mushroom Kupang is feasible to cultivate.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the amount of red chili farmers' income in Noelbaki Village,Kupang Tengah District,Kupang Regency,and to determine the feasibility of red chili farming in Noelbaki Village,Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency. The population in this study were farmers who cultivate red chili plants as many as 92 farmers.While the determination of the sample was carried out by simple random sampling so that 31 people were obtained.The results showed that: (1). The total cost incurred for red chili farming is Rp.177,768,807/ha with a total revenue of IDR 908,000,000/ha and income of IDR 730,231,193/year/ha.(2).The feasibility R/C ratio of red chili farming in the study area in Noelbaki Village, Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency is 5.10 where the R/C ratio is > 1, which means that red chili farming in the study area is feasible or profitable

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic began in March 2020, this outbreak has shocked the whole world and entered Indonesia for the first time. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is being felt in all sectors, including the agricultural sector, including organic vegetables farmering businesses. This research aims to: 1) Knowing the benefits of farming organic leafy vegetables (kaylan, pakcoy, red spinach) before the pandemic and during the Covid-19 pandemic; 2). Knowing the feasibility of farming organic leafy vegetables (kaylan, pakcoy, red spinach) before the pandemic and during the Covid-19 pandemic and 3). Knowing the production trends of organic leafy vegetables farming businesses. The research method uses the survey method. CV GS Organic was chosen as the research location, determined deliberately (purposive sampling) with the consideration that is it a fairly large producer of organic vegetables.. The research results show that the profit from organic leafy vegetables before the covid-19 pandemic, kaylan vegetables, was Rp.41.221.989,-/Ha/year, pakcoy amounting to Rp. 12.730.322,-/Ha/year and red spinach amounting to Rp.9.617.822,-/Ha/year. During the Covid-19 pandemic, profits from kaylan vegetables increased to Rp.47.166.433,-/Ha/year, pakcoy amounting to Rp. 14.808.100,-/Ha/year and red spinach amounting to Rp.11.406.046,-/Ha/year. Value R/C ratio before the Covid-19 pandemic for farming kaylan vegetables was 2,60, pakcoy 1,55 and red spinach 1,47, meaning that the organic vegetables business kaylan, pakcoy, red spinach is financially feasible to cultivate. The trend in organic leafy vegetable production during the Covid-19 pandemic has a positive trend.

Abstract

A This research was conducted in Kobalima Timur sub-district, namely in Alas Utara village and Kota Biru village. The objectives of this study were: 1) To identify factors that influence the level of production and income of corn farming businesses of dry land farmers in border areas; 2) To find out the amount of production and income obtained by corn farmers in dry land border areas.The selection of research locations was carried out by simple random sampling, namely selecting 2 villages out of 5 villages that directly border with Timor Leste, namely Alas Utara village and Kota Biru village. The selection of sample farmers was carried out using the simple random sampling method of 20% of the corn farmer population in the 2 selected villages, namely 32 corn farmers in Alas Utara village and 34 corn farmers in Kota Biru village. so that 66 farmers were obtained as respondents.The results of the study showed that: 1) Factors that significantly influenced the level of corn farming production in the border area of Kobalima Timur Sub-district, Malaka Regency were land area, selling price, and labor. Meanwhile, farming experience, number of seeds and education level do not significantly affect corn production; 2) The income of corn farmers in the border area of East Kobalima sub-district is IDR 15,823,252 per hectare

Abstract

This research was conducted in Obesi Village, North Mollo District, South Central Timor Regency. The purpose of this study is to find out the potential of integrated farming if applied in household yards, to find out the fulfillment of food availability and diversity of household food consumption of the people of Obesi Village, to find out the contribution of integrated farming in yard land to the fulfillment of household food needs. The data used in this study used primary data and secondary data. The research method uses the formula of food availability and food diversity. The results of this study show that, on average, the yard area owned by the people of Obesi Village is 20 acres and has great potential in carrying out integrated farming because it produces various types of staple food crops, namely taro, sweet potatoes, and cassava with a total production of 679 kg/year. Types of horticultural plants are kale, spinach, mustard greens, eggplant, Chayote, chili, paria with a total production of 168 kg/month. Furthermore, biopharmaceutical plantains, namely lemongrass, leeks, celery, galangal, basil, turmeric with a total production of 11.34 kg/month. And plantation crops, namely coffee, oranges, avocados, hazelnuts, mangoes, bananas, areca nuts, papaya with a total production of 308 kg/year and the last type of livestock cultivated in the yard is chickens, pigs, cows and goats with a total production of 14 heads./year Furthermore, it can provide basic food of 340 kg/year. In addition, it is able to provide diversity of food consumption in households with a diversity coefficient of 18%. And integrated farming on yard land contributes to the fulfillment of food needs, which is 25,483 kcal/cap/month.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the Manekat 1 farmer group from October to November 2024, the objectives of this study were 1) To deter mine the empowerment strategy used in empowering members of the Manekat 1 farmer group. 2) To determine the benefits obtained by farmers from crop rotation carried out in the Manekat 1 farmer group. The number of samples in this study was 55 respondents. The research method used in this study is a descriptive method with a mix method approach. Data collection methods with observation and interviews, questionnaires, documentation and literature studies. The data analysis method uses SWOT analysis by identifying internal factors (IFAS) and identifying external factors (EFAS) and using cost and income analysis methods. The results of the SWOT analysis show that an aggressive strategy where this strategy brings together strength and opportunities so the empowerment strategy of the Manekat 1 farmer group is an aggressive strategy whose strengths are in quadrant I.

Abstract

Kopi Arabica Bajawa telah menjadi kopi yang diminati masyarakat pencinta kopi di Indonesia. Hadirnya Koperasi Serba Usaha (KSU) “Fa Masa” sebagai ukuran respon permintaan terhadap produk agroindustri kopi Arabica Bajawa cenderung meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Menganalisis pendapatan agroindustri kopi Arabika Bajawa; 2) Menganalisis penggunaan modal, dan 3) Menganalisis kelayakan finansial. Penelitian dilakukan di KSU Firma “Fa Masa”, Kecamatan Bajawa, Kabupaten Ngada, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Pemilihan responden menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan analisis input-output, perbandingan biaya investasi dan modal kerja untuk mengetahui tingkat penggunaan modal. Kelayakan finansial menggunakan analisis NPV, IRR, Net B/C dan Payback Period selama 5 tahun umur ekonomis dengan tingkat bunga 9% per tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: agroindustri kopi Arabica Bajawa di KSU “Fa Masa” memperoleh pendapatan sebesar Rp. 37.547.545 per bulan dengan rata-rata pendapatan per tahun sebesar Rp. 450.570.540. Tingkat penggunaan modal sebesar 77,73 % per tahun. Sedangkan untuk kriteria kelayakan finansial, di peroleh hasil NPV sebesar Rp. 5.668.106.257 bernilai positif, IRR sebesar 9,2%, Net B/C sebesar 19,89 dan Payback Period sebesar 2 tahun 6 bulan. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa agroindustry kopi Arabica Bajawa menguntungkan dan layak dikembangkan.

Abstract

Mung bean farmers in the transmigration area of ​​Weoe Village, Wewiku District, Malaka District are often faced with various obstacles that result in low production produced by farmers. Therefore, improvement efforts are needed at the farm level to encourage farmers to be more optimal in managing their farms. This research aims to: 1) identify the obstacles faced by green bean farming, 2) determine the income of green bean farmers, and 3) determine the level/magnitude of production risk and efforts to manage production risks of green bean farming in the Transmigration Area of ​​Weoe Village, Wewiku Subdistrict, Malaka District. The survey method was used in this study, the data used were primary data and secondary data. The location of the study was in the Transmigration Area of ​​Weoe Village, Wewiku Subdistrict, Malaka District which was determined purposively, based on the potential for developing production and the area of ​​mung bean land. Samples were taken by simple random sampling of 60 respondents. The analysis method used variance analysis, standard defiation, and coefficient variation. The research results show that (1) The constraints faced by mung bean farmers in the Transmigration Area of Weoe Village include a lack of knowledge about proper mung bean cultivation, inadequate understanding of pest and disease control, weed management, and improper post-harvest handling, which results in low-quality seeds; (2) The farm income from mung bean cultivation amounts to IDR. 124.194.693 with an average income of IDR. 2.069.912 per farmer or IDR. 5.222.653 per hectare; (3) The level of production risk, seed risk, and labor risk in mung bean farming is high, while the risk of land area and pesticide is low. The risks associated with production, land area, seeds, pesticides, and labor in mung bean farming are relatively high. Efforts to mitigate production risks include maintaining soil conditions by clearing land and removing diseased plants, selecting high-quality or disease-resistant seeds, ensuring proper seedling management, taking good care of crops, and developing strong mental resilience to handle unexpected challenges, such as potential financial losses from farming activities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) how the technical aspects of Candlenut cultivation; 2) how much income and profits of farmers; 3) how is the marketing chain of Candlenut. This research was conducted in Bangka Arus Village, Poco Ranaka Timur District, Manggarai Timur Regency. The survey method was conducted in December 2018 - January 2019. Data collected in the form of primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through interviews with 210 farmers who were determined based on simple random sampling and secondary data obtained from the stakeholders. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis and analysis of farm income, as well as the R/C ratio. The results of research showed that: 1) the technical aspects of Candlenut farming (Aleurites moluccana Willd) in Bangka Arus Village, Poco Ranaka Timur District, Manggarai Timur Regency were sources of seeds, planting and spacing, maintenance, age of plants, other types of plants, soil types, and slope of land; 2) total costs incurred by 210 respondent farmers in Bangka Arus Village were Rp 77.850.000 with an average of Rp 370.714 per respondent farmer while the total receipt was Rp 753.006.000 with an average of Rp 3.485.743 per respondent farmer. The total income received by respondent farmers was Rp 675.156.000 with an average of Rp 3.215.028 per respondent farmer. Candlenut farming (Aleurites moluccana Willd) in Bangka Arus Village is feasible and profitable for farmers to cultivate with a revenue ratio with a total cost of 15,84; 3) there are four marketing chains of Candlenut in Bangka Arus Village, Poco Ranaka Timur District, Manggarai Timur Regency namely: I (farmers, village level collectors, district level collectors and wholesalers), II (farmers, village level collectors and wholesalers), III (farmers, district level collectors and wholesalers), IV (farmers and wholesalers).

Abstract

Kayu bakar sebagai sumber energi terbarukan memiliki peran yang penting bagi masyarakat pedesaan maupun perkotaan di Indonesia dalam menunjang kesinambungan pemenuhan kebutuhan hidupnya sehari-hari. Konsumsi kayu bakar sangat tinggi sehingga keberadaannya di alam semakin menurun dan belum diketahui pendapatanya saat diperdagangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Jenis kayu bakar yang dijual pedagang di Kota Kupang; 2) besarnya pendapatan yang diperoleh pedagang dari hasil kayu bakar di kota kupang; 3) besarnya keuntungan relatif dari hasil kayu bakar di kota kupang. Metode yang di gunakan adalah metode survai. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Jenis kayu bakar yang dijual pedagang di Kota Kupang adalah Kayu Merah (Pinus sylvestris), Kesambi (Schleichera oleosa), Jati (Tectona grandis), Gamal (Gliricidae maculata), Lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala) dan Kayu Duri (Akasia nilotika); 2) Jumlahkayu yang dijual pedagang sebesar 100-1200 ikat dan didatangkan dari berbagai Desa di Kabupaten Kupang yang terbanyak adalah dari Desa Bokong (Baumata); 3) Total biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh 28 pedagang di Kota Kupang adalah sebesarRp 4.385.000 dengan rata-rata biaya per pedagang sebesar Rp 156.607 sedangkan total penerimaannya sebesar Rp 31.275.000 dengan rata-rata Rp 1.116.964 per pedagang. Adapun total pendapatan yang diterima pedagang Rp 26.890.000dengan rata-rata Rp. 960.357 per pedagang. Usaha kayu bakar di Kota Kupang layak serta menguntungkan untuk diusahakan oleh pedagang dengan rasio penerimaan sebesar 7,97.
