Abstract

Background: The Mainland of Timor, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT) has a diverse regional topography with a high prevalence of stunting (>20%). The local government has taken preventive measures. However, the results show a very small reduction in the prevalence of stunting (±2-3%/year). This study aimed to determine the factors that influence the incidence of stunting in the Eastern Mainland Region, NTT Subjects and Method: This data was a cross-sectional study conducted in NTT, from in June to August 2022. A sample of 28 informants who were selected with the following considerations: officials from the Health Office, PUPR Service, Agriculture Service, and Regency/ City BPS data managers for the Eastern mainland region of NTT. The dependent variable was stunting. The independent variables were Availability of Public Health Workers, Infectious infectious diseases, Open defecation behavior, Family income level, Availability of clean water and proper sanitation, Exclusive breastfeeding, Posyandu visits, Program for giving iron tablets to young women, and Administration of Vitamin A. The data were analyzed by linear regression analysis. Results: Factors that influence the incidence of stunting were sanitation factors (b= -2.22; 95% CI= -3.52 to -0.91; p= 0.012), factor of pneumonia infection (b= 0.07; 95% CI= 0.01 to 0.13; p= 0.038), open defecation behavior factor (b= 2.60; 95% CI= 0.99 to 4.21; p= 0.014), and family income level factor (p= -1.21; 95% CI= -1.80 to -5.70; p= 0.009). Conclusion: The incidence of stunting in the East Mainland Region, NTT is influenced by factors: sanitation, pneumonia infection, open defecation behavior; and family income level. Abstract

Abstrak-Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Komposisi Jenis makrozoobentos pada ekosistem mangrove di kawasan wisata pada Wilayah Pesisir Desa Balauring Kecamatan Omesuri Kabupaten Lembata. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan ada 20 jenis Makrozoobentos Astraea heliotropium, Cypraea annulus, Rhinoclavis kochi, Conus sanguinolentus, Batillaria zonalis, Batilaria minima, Phalium flammiferum, Nerita planospira, Nerita polita, Nerita chamaeleon, Vexillum cancellarioides, Buccinulum corneum, Colombella major, Cymatium gibbosum, Nasarius horidus, Nassarius Globosus, Cerithium munitum, Mactra antiquate, Pitar citrinus dan Uca dussumieri. Jika dihitung nilai komposisi berdasarkan kelas maka ada 3 kelas yaitu kelas Gastropoda dengan nilai komposisi 85.00%, kelas Bivalvia 10% dan kelas Malacostraca 5%. Berdasarkan rata-rata nilai komposisi jenis makrozoobentos dari penjelasan ini, maka dapat diketahui bahwa makrozoobentos dari kelas Gastropoda memiliki nilai komposisi tertinggi dan yang terendah adalah kelas Malacostraca. Kata Kunci: Komposisi Jenis , Makrozoobentos, Ekosistem Mangrove. Abstrack-The purpose of this study was to determine the density and density of macrozoobenthos in the mangrove ecotourism area in Balauring Village, Omesuri District, Lembata Regency. The method used is qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of the study found that there were 20 species of Macrozoobentos Astraea heliotropium, Cypraea annulus, Rhinoclavis kochi, Conus sanguinolentus, Batillaria zonalis, Batilaria minima, Phalium flammiferum, Nerita planospira, Nerita polita, Nerita chamaeleon, Vexillum cancellarioides, Buccinulum corneum, Colombella major, Cymatium gibbosum, Nasarius horidus, Nassarius Globosus, Cerithium munitum, Mactra antiquate, Pitar citrinus and Uca dussumieri. If the composition value is calculated by class, there are 3 classes, namely the Gastropod class with a composition value of 85.00%, the Bivalvia class 10% and the Malacostraca class 5%. Based on the average composition value of macrozoobenthos from this explanation, it can be seen that macrozoobenthos from the Gastropod class has the highest composition value and the lowest is the Malacostraca class. This indicates that the type of macrozoobenthos that dominates the mangrove ecotourism area on the coast of Balauring Village, Omesuri District, Lembata Regency is from the Gastropod class. Abstract

Saat ini, pupuk bokashi menjadi incaran masyarakat pencinta tanaman hortikultura di perkotaan karena memiliki kelebihan seperti ramah lingkungan dan baik untuk kesehatan. Hal itu menunjukkan bahwa pupuk bokashi ini memiliki peluang bisnis sangat baik bagi kaum mileneal. Namun, pupuk bokashi yang djijual di pasaran saat ini rerata hanya terdiri dari tiga material utama yakni tanah, sekam padi dan kotoran sapi sehingga ada peluang untuk menambah material agar menghasilkan pupuk yang lebih berkualitas. Untuk itu diperlukan pelatihan kewirausahaan produksi pupuk bokashi bagi mahasiswa sebagai calon wirausaha mileneal. Pelatihan ini menggunakan Metode Gabungan, diikuti oleh 41 orang dari empat program studi di Undana dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 dan 17 September 2022. Hasil evaluasi pelatihan menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dari 34 orang (82.93%). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode gabungan dalam proses pemberdayaan sangat diperlukan karena efektif meningkatkan adaptasi, motivasi, pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Colol Village, East Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai Regency in February 2023. This study aims to determine: (1) the activities carried out by coffee agrotourism farmers in Colol Village (2) the impact of developing coffee agrotourism on the socio-economic conditions of farmers (3) Differences in income of coffee agro-farmer farmers before and after Colol Coffee Agro-tourism was established (4) contribution of coffee farming income to coffee farmer household income. The analytical tool used is the Paired Sample T-test and Revenue Contribution analysis. The results showed that (1) the activities carried out by Colol Coffee Agrotourism farmers in tourist attraction areas such as: land clearing, promoting and selling coffee, making agrotourism facilities, a guide caffee shop and home stay (2) the impact of Colol Coffee Agrotourism development brought socio-economic changes to the people in Colol Village such as: Increasing job opportunities and training people to be more creative and innovative (3) the income of farmers after the inauguration of agro-tourism is higher than the income of farmers before the inauguration of agro-tourism, which is shown by the results of the Paired Sample T-test which has a value of 0.015 (<0.05) (4) The amount of contribution from coffee farming to the total farmer household income that is equal to 79,55%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the leading sectors in Alor Regency so that the local government focuses on developing its region by using secondary data published by the Alor Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the 2017-2021 period which covers 17 business sectors based on constant prices. The Location Quotient (LQ) and Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) approaches were used to analyze the superior sectors of Alor Regency to obtain conclusions, sectors (1) agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors; (2) mining and quarrying sector; (3) processing industry sector; (4) electricity and gas procurement sector; (5) waste, waste and recycling processing water supply sector; (6) wholesale and retail trade sector, car and motorbike repairs; (7) transportation and warehousing sector; (8) financial services and insurance sector; (9) corporate services sector; and (10) the government administration, defense and social security sectors are mandatory economic base sectors which are expected to remain the economic base in the future. Meanwhile, judging from the shift share approach, there are 7 (seven) sectors that have competitive advantages or have high competitiveness in Alor Regency, including: (1) Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries sectors; (2) Electricity and Gas Procurement sector; (3) Water Supply, Waste Processing, Waste and Recycling sectors; (4) Construction sector; (5) Information and Communication sector; (6) Financial Services and Insurance sector; and (7) the Health Services and Social Activities sector.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the characteristics of consumers of Small chili and determine the factors that influence demand forrawit chili .This research method includes 45 samples taken using random sampling techniques (randomly). The data used in this research comes from primary and secondary data. Data collection was carried out by direct interviews with respondents using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis as results and processed using the SPSS 27 program. The research results show that most of the frequency of consumers buying small chili at the Kasih Naikoten market is for closer reasons, with a purchase volume of 1 kilogram to 5 kilograms for consumption and also for trading (stalls). Simultaneous test (F test) shows that all variables together, including price of small chili (X1), consumer income (X2), taste (X3), number of family members (X4), education (X5) and age (X6), have an influence on interest in small chili in Naikoten I Subdistrict. The results of this test are supported by an R2 value of 0.833 or 83,3%, which shows that most of the variation in interest in small chili can be explained by all the variables mentioned. Meanwhile, 17,7% was possibly influenced by additional variables not discussed in this study. The partial test (t test) shows that the variables price of small chili(X1), taste (X3) and number of family members (X4) have a significant effect on demand for small chili in Naikoten I Subdistrict. However, the variables consumer income (X2), education (X5 ) and age (X6) do not have a significant effect on demand for small chili in Naikoten I Village.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on various sectors, one of which is agriculture. The decrease in domestic agricultural production due to the COVID-19 pandemic threatens the fulfilment of people's food needs. This study aims to determine the productivity, income, and factors affecting leaf vegetable farming before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted in Noelbaki Village, with 50 respondents. The research method used a survey method. The results showed that the productivity and income of mustard, kale, and spinach leaf vegetable farms decreased due to the scarcity of production facilities. This is evidenced by the results of the mean difference test showing that there are significant differences in the productivity and income of vegetable farms before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Factors that significantly affect the productivity of mustard vegetable farms are fertilizer and the Covid-19 pandemic, for kale vegetables are seeds, fertilizer, and the Covid-19 pandemic and for spinach vegetable farms are the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

A This research was conducted in Kobalima Timur sub-district, namely in Alas Utara village and Kota Biru village. The objectives of this study were: 1) To identify factors that influence the level of production and income of corn farming businesses of dry land farmers in border areas; 2) To find out the amount of production and income obtained by corn farmers in dry land border areas.The selection of research locations was carried out by simple random sampling, namely selecting 2 villages out of 5 villages that directly border with Timor Leste, namely Alas Utara village and Kota Biru village. The selection of sample farmers was carried out using the simple random sampling method of 20% of the corn farmer population in the 2 selected villages, namely 32 corn farmers in Alas Utara village and 34 corn farmers in Kota Biru village. so that 66 farmers were obtained as respondents.The results of the study showed that: 1) Factors that significantly influenced the level of corn farming production in the border area of Kobalima Timur Sub-district, Malaka Regency were land area, selling price, and labor. Meanwhile, farming experience, number of seeds and education level do not significantly affect corn production; 2) The income of corn farmers in the border area of East Kobalima sub-district is IDR 15,823,252 per hectare

Abstract

This research aims to determine the amount of coffee farming income and the magnitude of the contribution of coffee farming to farmer household income. Data collection was carried out in West Detusoko Village, Detusoko District, Ende Regency, because it is one of the coffee producing areas. The population in this study was taken based on the number of family heads in West Detusoko Village, namely 219 people. The sample was determined using a simple random sampling method and calculated using the Slovin formula with a sample size of 69 respondents. The analytical method used in this research is a qualitative-quantitative descriptive method, income analysis and contribution analysis. The research results showed that the amount of income obtained by 69 respondents from coffee farming was IDR. 4.933.862/year/farmer. Income from rice farming is Rp. 2,135,848/planting season/farmer, so that in 1 year the farmer's income is Rp. 4,271,696/year/farmer, because they carry out two planting seasons in 1 year. Meanwhile, income outside the agricultural sector of 33 respondents who have businesses outside the agricultural sector was IDR. 973.061/year/farmer. So, the total income of farmer households is Rp. 10.178.619/year/farmer. Coffee farming contributes 48.47% to the household income of farmers.. This shows that coffee farming does not contribute significantly to farmer household income.

Abstract

Ngada Regency is an area that has land conditions and climate potential that vary in characteristics. The diversity of physical characteristics of land will determine the types of commodities that can be cultivated and will influence the level of productivity. Therefore, determining superior commodities is very necessary for decisions on future commodity development. The objectives of this research are: 1). Knowing superior commodities for staple food crops using the Dynamic Location Quetient (DLQ) analysis approach based on harvest and production area data 2). Identify staple food crop commodities that have the potential to be developed and have competitive advantages using the Shift Share Analysis (SSA) approach. This research uses a quantitative approach using secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Ngada Regency for the 2018-2022 period. The research results show that the leading commodities in Ngada Regency are Sweet Potatoes, Cassava, Rice, Corn and Peanuts, where these commodities have a progressive growth rate and are competitive. The sweet potato commodity is a commodity that has a progressive growth rate and has good competitiveness in almost all sub-districts.
