Abstract

The beauty industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth; however, it also faces challenges related to declining repeat purchases in certain body care product categories. This study aims to analyze the effect of brand image and price on repeat purchase decisions of Scarlett Whitening Body Care products among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Makassar, in Makassar City. This research employs a quantitative approach using explanatory research. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 90 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results indicate that brand image and price each have a positive and significant effect on repeat purchase decisions. Furthermore, the simultaneous test shows that brand image and price jointly have a significant effect on repeat purchase decisions of Scarlett Whitening Body Care products. These findings suggest that a strong brand image combined with a price perceived as appropriate plays an important role in encouraging consumer loyalty and repeat purchases, particularly among university students. The results of this study are expected to provide practical insights for companies in formulating marketing strategies focused on customer retention.

Abstract

The rapid growth of local cafes in medium-sized cities has shifted competition from product-based offerings to experience-based value creation. This study examines how service quality and store atmosphere influence customer loyalty through customer satisfaction at See You Cafe in Pinrang City. The study employed a quantitative associative-causal design involving 160 customers selected through purposive sampling, with criteria including customers aged at least 17 years and having visited See You Cafe at least twice. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire measured on a four-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Store atmosphere also has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, indicating that physical and sensory elements of the cafe contribute to customers’ positive evaluations. However, store atmosphere does not significantly affect customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction also does not significantly affect loyalty and does not mediate the relationship between service quality and loyalty or between store atmosphere and loyalty. These findings suggest that customer loyalty at See You Cafe is shaped more directly by service quality than by satisfaction or store atmosphere. The study implies that cafe management should prioritize improving service reliability, particularly order-serving timeliness, while maintaining a comfortable atmosphere. In addition, loyalty-building strategies should go beyond customer satisfaction by strengthening service consistency, personalization, and long-term customer engagement

Abstract

Traditional markets face increasing competition from modern retail and digital commerce, requiring effective strategies to sustain consumers' visit intention despite physical accessibility constraints. This study investigates the effects of market image and TikTok promotion on consumers' visit intention, with perceived shopping accessibility serving as a mediating variable in the context of Pasar Cidu Makassar. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected from 130 consumers who had visited Pasar Cidu Makassar. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that market image and TikTok promotion have positive and significant effects on both perceived shopping accessibility and visit intention. Perceived shopping accessibility also has a positive and significant effect on visit intention. However, it does not mediate the relationships between market image and visit intention or between TikTok promotion and visit intention. These findings suggest that consumers' intention to visit a traditional market is influenced more by favorable market image and effective digital promotion than by perceived shopping accessibility. Traditional market managers can utilize TikTok to promote market products, atmosphere, and activities through engaging and informative content to strengthen consumers' intention to visit. Consistent TikTok promotion can also serve as a practical digital marketing strategy to increase the market's visibility among potential visitors. This study contributes to the literature on traditional market marketing by demonstrating the importance of integrating market image and social media promotion to strengthen consumers' visit intention despite physical accessibility limitations.

Abstract

Indonesia in 1997-1998. The main factor that caused the crisis was the government's widening of the economy, in which the government made concessions to borrow debt without strict supervision and selection. As a result, many businessmen were unable to pay their debts on time, so that Indonesia's reputation declined internationally. Abstract

Employee productivity is a crucial factor in supporting organizational success. This productivity can be influenced by various managerial factors, including leadership style and workload. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and workload on employee productivity at PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (PELNI) Makassar Branch. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-associative design. The population in this study was all 39 employees of PT PELNI Makassar Branch, therefore, the sampling technique used was saturated sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used included multiple linear regression, partial t-tests, simultaneous t-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that leadership style had a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, with a t-value of 11.730 and a significance level of 0.000. Meanwhile, workload had no significant partial effect on employee productivity, with a significance level of 0.074. Simultaneously, leadership style and workload significantly influence employee work productivity with a calculated F value of 257.153. The coefficient of determination value of 93.5% indicates that employee work productivity can be explained by leadership style and workload, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the research model. Thus, leadership style is the dominant factor that influences employee work productivity. Therefore, companies need to improve the quality of effective, communicative, and supportive leadership in order to maintain and increase employee work productivity.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of online customer reviews and influencer endorsements on purchase intention through consumer trust on the TikTok platform, focusing on Generation Z users of Skintific products in Makassar City. The rapid development of digital marketing has transformed how consumers access information and evaluate products, making online reviews and influencer endorsements key references in shaping purchase decisions. This research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, involving 150 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method via SmartPLS. The findings reveal that online customer reviews and influencer endorsements do not have a direct effect on purchase intention. However, consumer trust has a significant positive effect on purchase intention and successfully mediates the relationship between both independent variables and purchase intention. These results highlight the crucial role of consumer trust in influencing purchasing behavior, suggesting that companies should prioritize building trust through credible information, transparent reviews, and effective digital marketing strategies.
