Abstract

Introduction: The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still higher compared to ASEAN countries to achieve the SDGs target, which is less than 70 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births in 2030. Early detection efforts to overcome morbidity and mortality for both mothers and babies can be done by implementing continuous care, starting from pregnancy to postpartum without any complications.  Objective: This study aims to provide comprehensive midwifery care, especially for pregnant women in the third trimester. Research Method: This study is a case study with a qualitative descriptive approach. This report uses a comprehensive care method, namely collecting data from subjective, objective, determining diagnoses, carrying out management, and documenting in the form of SOAP with supporting documentation in the form of a KIA book. Research Results: Based on the results of midwifery care for mother C, it has been carried out starting from pregnancy care, childbirth, newborns, to postpartum. In pregnancy midwifery care, the first visit found complaints of pain in the lower part and waist area. On the second visit, the mother had carried out the recommendations given so that the discomfort began to decrease and was resolved by carrying out the recommended recommendations. During childbirth care, the mother said there were no signs of labor even though it had passed the EDD and she felt amniotic fluid seeping from the birth canal. The results of the examination showed an opening of 2, and after there were contractions, the mother could no longer stand the pain. However, after monitoring for 15 hours, there was no progress, so the mother was referred to the hospital and a caesarean section was taken. During newborn care, mother C's baby with a male gender was born by caesarean section. Umbilical cord: brown and not yet dry, skin color: normal, gender: male, normal legs, immediately cries loudly, reddish skin, active muscle tone with an Apgar score of 8, number of toes: 10 fingers, normal back, no swelling, penis: perforated, scrotum: down, anus perforated. In the first postpartum care, The mother complained that her breast milk was coming out a little, so care was given by encouraging the mother to continue breastfeeding her baby as often as possible so that her breast milk would flow smoothly and telling the mother to do breast care such as frequent massage around the breast, maintaining breast cleanliness, and warm compresses on the breast. The blood color was rubra and there were no signs of breast milk dams. At the second postpartum visit, the mother said that she did not feel any complaints, her breast milk had come out, the blood color was sanguinolenta, and her breasts had produced breast milk. Abstract

Background: During pregnancy, various physiological and psychological changes occur. These changes occur due to changes in estrogen and progesterone hormone levels during pregnancy. One of the physiological changes is lower abdominal pain. Lower abdominal pain generally occurs when approaching the time of delivery. This is usually a signal that most of the lower part of the fetus is already completely in the pelvic cavity. The benefits of meditation can also be a psychological therapy without using chemical drugs that can interfere with pregnancy. The use of drugs in pregnant women requires special vigilance, some drugs can pose a risk to maternal health, and can have a direct effect on the fetus. Objective: to determine the effects of meditation and positive affirmations on Mrs. Y in overcoming pain in West Aceh Regency. Method: This care design is in the form of a case study with a qualitative approach. The subject of this case study is Mrs. Y, 30 years old G4P2A1, at 37 weeks of pregnancy with lower abdominal pain in West Aceh Regency. The study was conducted on February 8-15, 2025. Results: the results of the application of meditation and positive affirmations on Mrs. Y can reduce lower abdominal pain. Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women is one of the most common public health problems, mainly caused by iron deficiency. This condition can cause serious complications for both mother and fetus. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between food type, nutritional status, and iron intake with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Sukamakmur Health Center. This study used a quantitative approach with an analytical survey design and a cross-sectional method. The sample amounted to 56 pregnant women in the third trimester which were taken using the total sampling technique. This study uses a multivariate approach to understand how these three independent factors (food type, nutritional status, and iron intake) together influence the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in their third trimester. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and analyzed with the Spearman test.  There was a significant negative association between food types and the incidence of anemia (r = -0.527; p < 0.05). Iron intake was also significantly negatively associated with the incidence of anemia (r = -0.311; p < 0.05). However, there was no significant association between nutritional status and the incidence of anemia (r = 0.130; p = 0.341). Diversity of food types and iron intake contribute to a decrease in the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. However, general nutritional status such as BMI did not show a significant relationship. Continuous education is needed for pregnant women regarding the consumption of nutritious foods, especially foods high in iron.

The first stage is a pre-test, the second stage is the delivery of material and practice of meditation and positive affirmations, and the third stage is a post-test. The results show a difference in the level of knowledge and complaints with a p-value of 0,000 for each variable. There is a difference in the level of anxiety of the target group compared between the pre-test and post-test. With a p-value of 0,001. It can be concluded that the application of meditation and positive affirmations is effective in increasing knowledge, reducing complaints, and reducing the level of anxiety of pregnant women.

Abstract

Introduction: Prolongation of the first stage is one of the problems that often occurs in the labor process. The active phase of the first stage is one of the most important phases of labor progress, therefore every birth attendant must be able to control and supervise the labor process so as not to enter a pathological situation. Birthing ball is one of the active birth methods using a pilates ball that helps mothers in the first stage of labor. The use of a pilates ball with various positions can help speed up the duration of the first stage of labor. According to Ramadhani's research (2022), the use of the birthing ball method can provide progress in the first stage of labor in mothers in labor, where the estimated birth of the first child is above 12 hours, but using the birthing ball method the estimated birth is between 8-10 hours. Objective: to speed up labor with the Birth Ball in Mother M G1P0A0. Research method: descriptive with a case study approach. The subject of the study was a 23-year-old mother M G1P0A0, at 40 weeks 1 day of pregnancy with a dilation of 6. This study was conducted on March 2, 2025. Results: The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in the method carried out by Mother M G1P0A0 with the birthing ball method faster than the method estimated by physiology in the first child, which is between 10-12 hours, while the study was only at 5-10 hours. Conclusion: It is hoped that the Birth ball application care can be proven to accelerate labor and can be applied periodically at PMB Dewi Sandra Lubis
