Abstract

In Indonesia, the 35.9% of population had total cholesterol levels of above the normal value, which was a combination of residents in the borderline category (total cholesterol value of 200-239mg/dl) and high category (total cholesterol value of >240mg/dl). On the other hand, 60.3% of population had LDL levels of above the normal value. Based on gender, the number of women with total cholesterol levels of above normal in was higher than men, and the number of people with total cholesterol levels of above normal in urban areas was higher than in rural areas. This study aims to determine the effect of black sugar cane juice on blood cholesterol levels among patients with hypercholesterolemia. This was a Quasi Experimental study with a pre-post test with control group design, conducted in the work area of Sapta Jaya Community Health Center, Aceh Tamiang in June 2022. The sample size of 52 people were assigned into 26 cases and 26 controls. The data collected included administration of black sugar cane juice and blood cholesterol levels. Data were analyzed using the dependent t-test and the independent t-test. Intervention was concluded to have an effect if the p value was <0.05. The dependent t-test analysis obtained mean values of blood cholesterol levels before and after administration of black sugar cane juice in the case group of 234.40 mg/dl and 201.54 mg/dl, respectively, which indicated a decrease of 32.86 mg/dl with a p-value of (0.006) <0.05. Furthermore, the independent t-test analysis in the case and control groups obtained p-values of (0.001) <0.05 and (0.003) <0.05, respectively. In conclusion, there was an effect of black sugar cane juice on blood cholesterol levels among patients with hypercholesterolemia. It is expected that patients with hypercholesterolemia consume black sugar cane juice because it can lower cholesterol levels.

Abstract

Background : The causes of hyperuricemia are divided into 2, namely factors that cannot be controlled and those that can be controlled. Factors that cannot be controlled are age, sex and genetics, while factors that can be controlled are BMI and purine intake. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors that affect uric acid levels in hyperuricemia patients in the Muara Satu Health Center Work Area, Lhokseumawe City.Methods : This research is descriptive analytic usingdesign case control. This research was carried out at the Muara Satu Health Center, Lhokseumawe City in February 2021. Age, sex and genetic data were collected using a questionnaire by means of interviews. BMI was collected using weight and TB measurements and purine intake was collected using recall by means of interviews. Data were analyzed using Chi-Squarae .  Results : Most of the hyperuricemia patients were in the early elderly as many as 11 people (52.4%) and 18 women (85.7%). BMI mostly mild overweight as many as 14 people (66.7%) and have a genetic history as many as 12 people (57.1%) with purine intake mostly 18 people (85.7%).Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between genetics and purine intake with uric acid levels and there is no significant relationship between age, gender and BMI with uric acid levels in hyperuricemic patients who are outpatients at the Muara Satu Health Center, Lhokseumawe.Suggestion : It is recommended for people with hyperuricemia to pay attention to the intake of food sources of purines, in order to normalize blood uric acid levels. Key words : Age; Gender; Genetics; BMI; Purine intake

Abstract

Hypertension is an abnormal increase in blood pressure in the arteries, and the increase continuously occurs over a period. People with hypertension must consider food factors (dietary compliance) because diet is one way to lower blood pressure. Patients with hypertension should adhere to a hypertension diet so that blood pressure becomes stable and further complications can be prevented. This study aims to determine the relationship between hypertension dietary compliance and blood pressure of hypertensive patients in Batoh Public Health Center, Lueng Bata District, Banda Aceh City. This descriptive-analytic research employed a cross-sectional design. The research sample was 37 women aged 45-60 years. They were selected using a non-probability technique with the purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted at the Batoh Public Health Center, Lueng Bata District, Banda Aceh City. The research data included hypertension diet compliance and blood pressure of hypertensive patients. The level of dietary compliance was determined using a questionnaire while the level of blood pressure was determined using a digital blood pressure measurement of Tensi One. The chi-square test was employed to analyze the relationship between diet compliance and blood pressure. This study has discovered that 64.9% of hypertensive patients have non-adherent diet compliance, and 78.4% of them have high blood pressure. These results denote a significant relationship between dietary compliance and blood pressure (p-value = 0.008).

Abstract

Patients with kidney failure in outpatient hemodialysis rooms often experience malnutrition and have decreased quality of life. Moroever, they frequently have incorrect knowledge about nutritional intake, especially protein. One way to deal with nutritional problems in kidney patients in outpatient hemodialysis rooms is nutrition counseling to provide knowledge about food handling/control. This counseling aims to enable patients to change their nutritional intake, especially protein. Thus, their nutritional and health status gets better and improved. This study aims to determine the effect of nutritional counseling on protein intake in patients with chronic kidney failure at the Cut Mutia Hospital, Aceh Utara. This research employed a descriptive-analytical method with a quasi-experimental design and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample was 28 chronic kidney failure patients in outpatient hemodialysis rooms at RSUD Cut Mutia Aceh Utara. They were divided into two groups: 14 patients in a treatment group and 14 patients in a control group.  The patients received nutrition counseling for 30 minutes in the pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed using a statistical test of the dependent T-test. The average protein intake in the treatment group before and after the nutritional counseling is 40.60 grams, and the average protein intake after the control group is 52.91 grams. The nutritional counseling significantly affects the protein intake of patients with chronic kidney failure in outpatient hemodialysis rooms at Cut Mutia Hospital, Aceh Utara (p = 0.00).

Abstract

Background : One of the factors that influence obesity is knowledge, breakfast, fast food consumption, exercise habits.Objective : to find out the factors that cause obesity in young women in Aceh BesarMethod : This research is analytic descriptive with cross sectional approach which was carried out in June 2019 at SMAN 1 Darul Imarah with a sample of 77 people. Obesity is determined by measuring weight and height using a scale and microtoise with the category: obesity if BMI 27. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire with knowledge variables, fast food consumption, breakfast and exercise habits with data analysis using chi square.Result : The results showed that most teenagers were not obese 41 people (53.2%), good knowledge 49 people (63.6%), fast food consumption was often 40 people (51.9%), breakfast was rare 44 people (57.1 %) and sports habits are rarely 50 people (64.9%).Conclusion : There is a relationship between knowledge, consumption of fast food, breakfast and exercise habits with obesity in young women at SMAN 1 Darul Imarah.

Abstract

Background :Stunting is called a cross-generation nutritional problem caused by multifactors including genetic factors (maternal height). Another factor causing stunting is lack of nutrition. ASI fulfills all of the baby's nutritional needs, so breastfeeding status also affects the incidence of stunting.Objective : to determine the relationship of exclusive breastfeeding and maternal height with the incidence of stunting in children aged 6-36 months in the UPTD of the Ulee Kareng Health Center in Banda Aceh.Methods : This research is descriptive analytical research with cross sectional design with a quantitative approach. It was held on May-June 2019. The population of this study was all children aged 6-36 months in the UPTD of the Health Center Ulee Kareng Banda Aceh. The sample size was 81 children aged 6-36 months. The sampling technique in this study was accidental sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire to determine toddler identity and the identity of the respondent. Measurement of height using microtoice, and body length was measured using an infrantometer Analysis of data using the chi square test with a 0.05 degree of confidence.Result : Based on the results of the study, children who received exclusive breastfeeding were 51.9%. Short mother 58%. Normal child 51.9%. There is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and maternal height with the incidence of stunting in children aged 6-36 months. With p-value 0.05. Namely exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of stunting in children (p-value = 0.011). Maternal height with incidence of stunting in children (p-value = 0.028).Conclusion : Exclusive breastfeeding and maternal height have a relationship with the incidence of stunting in children aged 6-36 months in the UPTD of the Health Center Ulee Kareng Banda Aceh. So it is expected that mothers give exclusive breastfeeding for babies as an effort to prevent stunting.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Usia 0-24 bulan merupakan masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang pesat yang sering diistilahkan sebagai periode emas. Tingginya gizi kurang sangat terkait dengan praktek pemberian makanan. Pengetahuan akan menentukan perilaku seseorang. Seorang ibu yang memiliki pengetahuan tinggi akan berpikir dalam bertindak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat hubungan pengetahuan ibu dan dukungan keluarga dengan keberagam MP-ASI balita di desa Lamjruen dan Alue Rindang. Metode: Penelitian ini bersifat Deskriptif Analitik, dengan menggunakan pendekatan Cross Sectional dengan sampel 32 balita. Pengambilan sampel secara total Sampling yang dilakukan pada 6-12 juli 2018. Pengolahan data menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil: balita beragam MP-ASI sebesar 54,9%, ibu-ibu berpengetahuan baik sebesar 81,3%, dukungan keluarga yang baik 53,1% keluarga mendukung pemberian ASI eksklusif dan 25,8% ibu-ibu bersikap positif terhadap ASI eksklusif. Hasil uji statistik pengetahuan ibu menunjukkan p=0,666 (p>0,05), dukungan keluarga p = 0,721 (p>0,05). Kesimpulan: tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu dan dukungan keluarga dengan keberagaman MP-ASI balita usia 6-23 bulan. Saran: Disarankan bagi tenaga kesehatan untuk memberikan penyuluhan tentang keberagaman MP-ASI balita.

Abstract

Makanan pendamping air susu ibu (MP-ASI) adalah makanan atau minuman yang mengandung zat gizi, diberikan kepada bayi atau anak usia 6-24 bulan guna memenuhi kebutuhan gizi selain dari ASI. Makanan atau minuman yang mengandung gizi diberikan kepada bayi / anak untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizinya. Merupakan makanan peralihan dari ASI ke makanan keluarga. Pengenalan dan pemberian MP-ASI harus dilakukan secara bertahap baik bentuk maupun jumlahnya, sesuai dengan kemampuan pencernaan. Pengenalan makanan dapat dilakukan dengan cara memanfaatkan pangan disekitar tempat tinggal atau pangan local yang sering dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat atau keluarga. Pemberian edukasi kepada ibu balita sangat berpengaruh terhadap pengetahuan ibu untuk memanfaatkan pangan lokal agar makanan yang diberikan kepada anak dapat bervariasi. Metode yang dilaksanakan dalam pengabmas adalah penyuluhan dan demo masak bahan pangan lokal dalam  pembuatan makanan pendamping ASI. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama dua hari yaitu tgl 25 Agustus dan 29 September 2022 di dsa Ateuk Mon Panah Kecamatan Simpang Tiga Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Hasil yang diperolah Pemanfaatan pangan lokal sekitar sudah dilakukan namun informasi pemanfaatan ini  belum merata. Ada peningkatan pemanfaatan pangan lokal setelah diberikan edukasi. Pemanfaatan pangan lokal yang banyak digunakan adalah ubi kayu dan ubi jalar, labu kuning, daun kelor, daun ubi, wortel, ikan mujair dan lele serta pisang dan pepaya. Ada peningkatan pemberian makanan selingan/snack dengan pangan lokal juga ferkuensi pemberiannya.Informsi pemanfaatan pangan lokal ini dapat membantu masyarakat untuk meningkatkan nilai gizi balita bersumber pangan lokal.

Abstract

Angka Kejadian stunting di Indonesia masih cukup tinggi. Prevalensi stunting di Provinsi Aceh menempati posisi ke lima tertinggi dengan angka 33,2% menempati posisi ke lima tertinggi secara nasional.  Kabupaten Aceh besar merupakan salah lokasi focus stunting dari 13 kabupaten/kota yang telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah. Untuk mencegah kejadian stunting ini, intervensi selanjutnya harus melibatkan pada remaja sebagai calon ibu. Keterlibatan remaja dalam upaya mengatasi dan mencegah stunting ini sesuai dengan program Badan Koordinasi Keluarga Beremcana Nasional (BKKBN) dalam bentuk remaja peduli stunting. Remaja peduli stunting ini diberdayakan sebagai konselor bagi remaja sebaya dan ibu yang mempunyai balita. Tujuan kegiatan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang stunting dan keterampilan remaja sebagai konselor remaja terkait stunting. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan pendekatan edukasi melalui pelatihan konseling gizi bagi remaja tentang stunting: pengkajian, perencanaan, intervensi dan evaluasi. Hasil, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan remaja tentang stunting sebesar 33,3%. kemampuan memberikan konseling kepada remaja sebaya serta ibu yang mempunyai balita dengan menggunakan keterampilan dasar konseling meningkat sebesar 33,3%. Kesimpulan, setelah dilatih, remaja mampu memberikan konseling gizi tentang anemia gizi, KEK dan dampaknya terhadap stunting kepada remaja sebayanya dan kepada ibu balita.

Abstract

Sindroma metabolik merupakan kumpulan kelainan metabolik komplek yang muncul sebagai faktor risiko penyakit kardiovaskular serta diabetes mellitus tipe II. Komponen utama sindrom metabolik diantaranya adalah obesitas abdomen, peningkatan kadar glukosa darah (sewaktu dan atau puasa), peningkatan tekanan darah dan dislipidemia. Penyuluhan gizi pada pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai sindrom metabolik yang berhubungan dengan penyakit kardiovaskular. Pengabdian masyarakat ini telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19-20 September 2022 di desa Lamrukam kecamatan Peukan Bada Aceh Besar. Peserta pengabmas adalah ibu-ibu yang memiliki resiko sindrom metabolic sebanyak 25 orang. Kegiatan pengabmas terdiri dari pre test untuk mengetahui pengetahuan masyarakat tentang sindrom metabolic, pengukuran tinggi badan (TB) dan berat badan (BB) untuk mengetahui status gizi peserta pengabmas, pemeriksaan tekanan darah, pengukuran gula darah, penyuluhan gizi dan post test. Hasil, status gizi peserta overweight yaitu 12 orang (48%), sedangkan tekanan darah   dan kadar gula darah normal yaitu 18 orang (72%) dan 22 orang (88%). rata-rata pengetahuan peserta sebelum penyuluhan gizi yaitu 36 sedangkan setelah dilakukan penyuluhan gizi rata-rata pengetahuan peserta menjadi 64,8. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta sebesar 28,8%. Kesimpulan, penyuluhan pada peserta pengabdian masyarakat dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat cara deteksi dini kejadian sindrom metabolik.
