Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a flipbook-based personal development information service model and examine the increase in self-awareness of late adolescents as a measure of its effectiveness Research/methodology: This research used development research methods with an ADDIE design model. The instruments used in this study were validation and practicality sheets, model needs analysis questionnaires, self-awareness questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The data processing used in this research was based on the model's validity and practicality, and N-gain test analysis and Paired Sample t-test using SPSS version 24 were also carried out to evaluate effectiveness. Results: The research results obtained are as follows: 1) assessment of the feasibility of the flipbook-based personal development information service model shows a high validity category with an average value of 91%, and its practicality is considered very practical to use with an average value of 87%; 2) assessment of effectiveness, there is a Sig.2 tailed value of 0.000 < 0.025, so Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted, as well as an increase in the average (Gain) of pre- and post-test data of 0.60, which is classified as a medium criterion. Based on the research results, the developed product model is effective and contributes to increasing self-awareness among high school students in their late adolescence. Conclusions: The flipbook-based personal development information service model is proven to be valid, practical, and effective in enhancing self-awareness among late adolescents. The product development follows the ADDIE framework and meets the criteria of high validity (91%), high practicality (87%), and effectiveness (N-gain = 0.60; Sig. = 0.000), indicating a statistically significant improvement in students' self-awareness. Limitations: This study is limited to high school students in South Tangerang and does not generalize across broader adolescent populations. The implementation relies on digital literacy and access to stable internet, which may not be consistent across various educational contexts. Contribution: This study introduces a validated flipbook-based model that enhances self-awareness in adolescents through accessible and interactive guidance services.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Guided Inquiry Learning Model Based on Educational Games, presented in a book format and supported by educational games accessible via Canva and Wordwall platforms. The model is designed to be valid, practical, and effective in enhancing elementary school students' science process skills. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adapting the Plomp model's development stages: initial investigation, design, realization, testing, evaluation, revision, and implementation. The subjects are fifth-grade students from UPT SD Negeri 214, UPT SD Negeri 99, and UPT SD Negeri 101 in Pinrang Regency. Research instruments include validation sheets, observation sheets, questionnaires, and evaluation sheets. The study produces an Inquiry-Based Educational Game (IGE) textbook and learning tools, such as lesson plans (RPP), student worksheets (LKPD), and educational games. The findings reveal a strong need among teachers and students for a learning model that enhances science process skills. The developed IGE model comprises syntax, social system, reaction principles, support system, instructional impact, and accompanying impact. The syntax includes Activation, Playing, Exploring, and Wrap-Up phases. The IGE model meets the criteria for validity and practicality, receiving high validation ratings. The model effectively enhances students' science process skills, as shown by significant improvements in student performance. The IGE model and its learning tools are deemed highly practical, based on feedback from students and teachers.

Abstract

This study focuses on the research and development of local content textbooks using Fagogoru ethnopedagogy. The development process includes needs analysis, model validity testing, practicality testing, and effectiveness testing. Conducted at State Elementary School (SDN) 2 Weda in Central Halmahera Regency, the experimental research involved fourth-grade students. The Fagogoru ethnopedagogy textbook underwent thorough testing for needs analysis, validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Findings from the needs analysis stage, including literature and field studies, indicated a necessity for the Fagogoru ethnopedagogy textbook as a local content learning resource in Central Halmahera Regency. The trial phase demonstrated the textbook's validity, effectiveness, and practicality, deeming it suitable for elementary school use. Both content and construct validity tests met criteria, affirming its value as an educational research product. Practicality and effectiveness tests assessed implementation, student activities, obstacles, and learning outcomes. Practicality testing yielded values within the predetermined standard interval. Effectiveness testing, through hypothesis evaluation, revealed improved learning outcomes using Fagogoru ethnopedagogy. Student response tests indicated positive engagement with the learning activities. The effectiveness assessment of the textbooks confirmed their high efficacy in teaching local content through Fagogoru ethnopedagogy.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the role of interactive media in teaching pronunciation with communicative approach toward students' language and cognitive mastery. This research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques carried out by applying pronunciation learning to certain topics from the interactive media. The sample of the research were 26 students of English education study program. Data was collected through observation, questionnaires and tests. The questionnaires were applied to obtain information related to the use of interactive media and the implementation of communicative language teaching. The final comprehension test was conducted to analyze students' cognitive mastery.   The result obtained for the media-based pronunciation learning resources was 4.50 on the scale of 5.00 with a very good category, while for the chosen topic in learning pronunciation was 4.55. In terms of cognitive skills achievement, students obtained an average score of 4.35 with a good category. Meanwhile, for the media assessment and the software aspect obtained a score of 4.48, and the learning and cognitive aspect with a score of 4.50. In view of the assessment of the learning outcomes, students obtained a score of 85.12 with a good interpretation score. The role of interactive media increases students' cognitive mastery and pronunciation skills through a communicative language teaching approach

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective digital interactive Islamic education coursebook at Universitas Khairun using the ADDIE development model. The research process began with a needs analysis which indicated that students required a coursebook with simplified content divided into seven main topics. The design phase involved determining the topics, collecting references, creating a matrix, and organizing learning objectives. The developed coursebook underwent two validation steps: expert evaluation and product testing. Expert validation results showed an average score of 3.37, while product testing revealed an increase in pre-test scores from 70.00 to 81.04, a difference of 16.23%. Practicality assessment of the coursebook revealed that 95.07% of respondents rated it as “practical”. Additionally, the effectiveness of the coursebook was demonstrated by a 16.44% increase in the average pre-test and post-test scores of students. These findings indicate that the developed digital Islamic education coursebook meets the criteria for validity, practicality, and effectiveness, making it an effective learning resource at Khairun University
