Abstract

Pendidikan karakter dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan mutu penye-lenggaraan dan hasil pendidikan yang mengarah pada pencapaian pembentukan karakter peserta didik secara utuh, terpadu, dan seimbang, sesuai standar kompetensi lulusan. Untuk mengukur keberhasilan pendidikan karakter dilakukan evaluasi menyeluruh yang terdiri dari: 1) Evaluasi konteks yang meliputi dasar kebijakan, persepsi kebutuhan dan tujuan program pendidikan karakter; 2) Evaluasi input yang meliputi perencanaan, strategi, desain struktur organisasi, prosedur pelaksanaan dan ketersediaan sumberdaya program pendidikan karakter; 3) Evaluasi proses yang meliputi koordinasi, implementasi dan pengawasan pelaksanaan program pendidikan karakter; dan 4) Evaluasi produk yang meliputi pencapaian dan dampak dari program pendidikan karakter. Evaluasi program pendidikan karakter dilakukan untuk memberikan penguatan, perbaikan dan mengukur keberhasilan pelaksanaan program pendidikan karakter yang dilaksanakan oleh penyelenggara pendidikan.

Abstract

Secara umum, tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis bagaimana hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan sosial (IPS) dapat ditingkatkan melalui evaluasi formatif dan gaya kognitif. Secara khusus, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empiris tentang perbedaan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPS ditinjau dari evaluasi formatif dan gaya kognitif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah faktorial 2 x 2 dengan tiga variabel, yaitu evaluasi formatif (X1), gaya kognitif siswa (X2), dan hasil belajar IPS (Y). Uji t dilakukan setelah Tehnik ANAVA dua arah dilakukan. Setelah data terkumpul, selanjutnya akan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji persyaratan data (uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 SD Al Muslim sebanyak 120 orang. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Multistorage Random Sampling. Penentuan sampel penelitian berdasarkan hasil pengukuran sikap siswa pada dua kelas eksperimen, dengan mengambil 33% siswa pada kelompok bawah dan 33% siswa kelompok atas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: 1) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitf reflektif dengan gaya kognitif impulsif pada pelajaran IPS; 2) Terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara evaluasi formatif dan gaya kognitif siswa terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPS; 3) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif reflektif yang diberikan evaluasi formatif esai dengan evaluasi formatif pilihan ganda pada pelajaran IPS. 4) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif impulsif yang diberikan evaluasi formatif esai dengan evaluasi formatif pilihan ganda pada pelajaran IPS; 5) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif reflektif dengan gaya kognitif impulsif yang sama-sama diberikan evaluasi formatif esai pada pelajaran IPS; 6) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif reflektif dengan gaya kognitif impulsif yang sama-sama diberikan evaluasi formatif pilihan ganda.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to know gross motor skills development of children aged 5-6 years with creative dance activities and to determine the gross motor skills development of children aged 5-6 years can be increased by creative dance activities.The design of this study was classroom action research. The subjects were students of Al Amanah Islamic Kindergarten aged 5-6 years, with the object was gross motor skills development by creative dance activities. This study was conducted in pre-cycle, cycle 1 and cycle 2. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Data collection was obtained by observation, interview and documentation studies.The results showed: 1) Creative dance activities were able to develop gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at RA Al Amanah Depok which was shown by an increase in average results on all indicators: balance, agility and flexibility, with the results of 53.43% in the pre-cycle to 68.86% in cycle 1 and in cycle 2 by 88%; 2) Creative dance activities were able to develop gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at RA Al Amanah Depok. This is indicated by the results that have fulfilled the predetermined success criteria. Keywords: development, gross motor, creative dance

Abstract

Generally, the aim of this research is to analyze how teachers’ commitment to the profession in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Jakarta Selatan can be improved through organizational culture and work satisfaction. Hence, this research specifically aims to find out, comprehend, and analyze empirically upon 1) the relation between organizational culture and teachers’ commitment to the profession, 2) the relation between work satisfaction and teachers’ commitment to the profession, and 3) the relation between organizational culture and work satisfaction with teachers’ commitment to the profession.This research is conducted as a quantitative study. The population of this research is the teachers of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Jakarta Selatan as many as 315 in which 177 of them are taken as the samples. The number of the sample was determined by using proporsional random sampling technique with the Slovin formula at a 5% margin of error.The results of the research show: 1) there is a significant positive relationship between Organizational Culture and Teachers’ Commitment to the Profession, which is indicated by correlation coefficient value ry1 = 0,611 and determinant coefficient value ry12= 0,373; 2) there is a significant positive relationship between Work Satisfaction and Teachers’ Commitment to the Profession, which is indicated by correlation coefficient value ry2 = 0,665., and determinant coefficient value ry22= 0,442; and 3) there is a significant positive relationship between Organizational Culture and Work Satisfaction with Teachers’ Commitment to the Profession, which is indicated by correlation coefficient value ry12 = 0.677., and determinant coefficient value ry122= 0,458.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the implementation of a throw-and-catch ball game on young learners aged 5-6 years old in PAUD Nurul Fadillah and discovered young learners’ hard motoric skill improvement through the game.Conducted as a Class Action Research, this study involved 11 young learners as the subject as well as object of the study. The study process was carried on by applying two cycles, 1 and 2, which was initiated by a pre-cycle activity. There were four steps taken in each cycle which included planning, doing, observing, and reflecting. The data collection was obtained by observation, interview, and documentation study.The result of the study showed that: 1) The implementation of a throw-and-catch ball game had resulted in the improvement of hard motoric skill on young learners aged 5-6 years old in PAUD Nurul Fadillah on these categories: 82% on balancing, 91% on power and flexibility; 2) The implementation of playing a throw-and-catch ball game was able to improve hard motoric skill on young learners aged 5-6 years old in PAUD Nurul Fadillah Depok, since they have succeeded in achieving the predefined success indicators on balance, power and flexibility.

Abstract

One of the many factors that determines the success of the learning process is teachers’ competences since they are the key in improving learning process quality. However, what happens in the real life is far from what it should be. Our education still encounters with the low-competence teachers in implementing the learning process which leads to the low quality of education output. Teachers are professional educators who need special skills and self-maturity in carrying out their professions. Thus, teachers are obliged to possess various competences, one of which is professional competence. Others are pedagogical, personality and social competences. Professional competence, as described in Government Regulation No. 74 Year 2008 about Teachers Article 3 paragraph 7, is teachers’ competence in mastering the knowledge, science, technology, and/or art and culture of the subject they carry out involving at least the mastery of in-depth and broad learning material; with the relevant concept and method of science, tehcnology and art. The teachers’ ability in mastering subject materials and learning resources, developing learning strategy, model and method, as well as managing classroom can improve learning quality. Those abilities can be gained through teachers-to-be education (pre-position process) as well as education within position.

Abstract

This study is aimed to figure out character education management in SMP Al Muslim Tambun and to uncover the obstacles in managing character education in SMP Al Muslim. The research design used is qualitative research design which describes the management of character education. The data collection technique employed are observation, interview, and documentary study. Data analytical technique used in this research are qualitative descriptive which will be applied as the approach to describe the result of observation, interview and documentary study. The research results show us that 1) character education management in SMP Al Muslim Tambun is conducted through school management, learning activities, as well as habitual/coaching activities; 2) the obstacles in managing character education in SMP Al Muslim Tambun are caused by internal and external factors. Internal factors include students and teachers/employees. Meanwhile, the external factors come from parents, shuttle service and foundation.

Abstract

This study aimed to perceive the implementation of character education for young learners in RA Nurul Ikhlas and discover the supporting factors and obstacles in implementing the program. Conducted using a qualitative method, the study resulted in the findings of definitions, concepts, characteristics, and phenomena on the implementation of character education for young learners in RA Nurul Ikhlas. The data was collected by observation, interview, and document analysis. The data analysis was conducted by applying Miles and Hubermen’ theory, which consisted of data reduction activity, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that: 1) Character education implementation in RA Nurul Ikhlas was conducted by scheduled activities, habits and merits, and learning by playing approach. Character education curriculum based on 9 character-pillars with center and circle learning model as well as various methods and evaluation: 2) the supporting factors for implementing character education are lesson plans integrated with character values, teachers’ competences, and school support. Meanwhile, the obstacles that hindered the implementation are as follows: a. the harmony between schools and homes in applying characters values are not favorable, b. less-conducive environment, c. uncontrolled or less-educated use of gadget, television, and internet

Abstract

Secara umum tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis bagaimana komitmen profesional guru pada Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Jakarta Selatan dapat ditingkatkan, melalui pengembangan efikasi diri dan kepercayaan. Secara khusus, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empiris mengenai: 1) Hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan komitmen profesional guru. 2) Hubungan antara kepercayaan dengan komitmen profesional guru dan 3) Hubungan antara efikasi diri dan kepercayaan dengan komitmen profesional guru.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan langkah-langkah menentukan populasi dan sampel sebagai tempat untuk menguji hipotesis, mengembangkan dan menguji instrumen untuk pengumpulan data, analisis data, dan selanjutnya membuat laporan yang diakhiri dengan kesimpulan dan saran.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Jakarta Selatan sebanyak 315 orang guru. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah proporsional random sampling. Penentuan jumlah sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin pada margin kesalahan 5%. Dari 315 populasi pada penelitian ini, sampel yang diambil sejumlah 177 orang. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi yang dilanjutkan dengan penghitungan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: 1) Terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan komitmen profesional guru, yang ditunjukan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi ry1 = 0,707 dan koefisien determinasi dengan nilai ry12 = 0,499; 2) Terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kepercayaan dan komitmen profesional guru, yang ditunjukan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi ry2 = 0,627 dan koefisien determinasi dengan nilai ry22 = 0,393; dan 3) Terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dan kepercayaan dengan komitmen profesional guru, yang ditunjukan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi ry12 = 0.740., dan koefisien determinasi dengan nilai ry122 = 0,548.
