Abstract

With reference to the subject of apostasy that happened in Langkat Regency, which is presently the primary topic in two online media, namely viva.co.id and antarnews.com, this research seeks to assess the major news in the media. This study uses quantitative methods with a framing analysis model. This study uses the model of Zong Dang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki, which divides it into four dimensions, namely: syntax, skirp, thematic, and rhetorical. The results of this study show differences in the script structure section, and there are similarities in the news content section, starting with the lead. In the script structure, the 5W elements in the two news stories have been fulfilled, but the Antaranews.com news text does not really explain the how but slightly explains the chronology related to the issue of apostasy that occurred. Meanwhile, viva.co.id explains the complete chronology of the apostasy. Both of these stories use light language in the selection of sentences within them, making it easier for readers to understand the contents of the news.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the strategy used by the HMI FIS UINSU Commissariat in recruiting new members at the Faculty of Social Sciences and also some of the inhibiting factors. The main source or primary research data is obtained from several sources related to the member recruitment process. While the techniques used for data collection are interviews, observation and documentation. analyzed by reducing the data into a conclusion. The recruitment strategy carried out by the management of the HMI Commissariat of FIS Uinsu is CommunicationFace to Face (directly) , namely through seminars and discussions.and Media Communication (mediated communication) by utilizing print media such as pamphlets, banners and banners or social media such as creating an account facebook, instagram and whatsapp Apart from that, the HMI Commissariat FIS group also uses friendship strategies, alma mater strategies for education or Islamic boarding schools, and primordial network strategies (one area). Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the motivational messages in the film "Range of Stories" are formed from the perspective of Abraham Maslow's Theory. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach and Abraham Maslow's motivational theory approach. The data collection technique is by observing, documenting and studying the literature. The primary data source is film video recordings. The findings from this study are that there are five forms of motivation strata described by expert Abraham Maslow contained in the film "Range of Stories". 1) The first level of physiological needs there are five elements in the film that describe physiological needs; 2) The second stratum, there are two elements in this film that describe the need for a sense of security in the film; 3) The third stratum, there are two elements in this film that describe social needs (a feeling of affection or being loved); 4) The fourth stratum, there are two elements in this film which describe the need for recognition from others (ego); 5) In the fifth strata, there are two elements in this film that describe a form of self-actualization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi komunikasi BNNP Sumtera Utara melalui Rumah Edukasi Anti Narkoba (REAN.ID) dalam pencegahan penyalahgunaan narkoba di Sumatera Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu dengan cara observasi kelapangan yang bertempat di kantor BNNP Sumatera Utara, wawancara dengan Bagian Pencegahan dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (P2M), dan dokumentasi yang diambil dari data yang dimiliki oleh BNNP Sumatera Utara. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa strategi komunikasi BNNP Sumatera Utara dalam pencegahan penyalahgunaan narkoba menggunakan salah satu strategi komunkasi berupa platform digital Rumah Edukasi Anti Narkoba (REAN.ID). secara umum REAN akan menjadi konektor, mobilisator, dan akselerator sosial bagi generasi milenial dengan cara memfasilitasi remaja Indonesia berjejaring, belajar, berbagi cerita, karya, inspirasi, dan saling membuka peluang untuk bekerja sama.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi komunikasi pemasaran radio KIIS FM dalam menjaga eksistensi pendengar khalayak di Kota Padangsidempuan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan informan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengurus dari Radio KIIS FM Padangsidimpuan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa Radio KISS FM menggunakan strategi komunikasi untuk melakukan komunikasi dengan para pendengar/khalayak dengan menggunakan media sosial yang telah berkembang saat ini, dengan cara ini Radio KISS FM dapat mengukur keberhasilan strategi komunikasi dengan melihat respon yang diberikan masyarakat terhadap apa yang dilakukan Radio KISS FM di media sosial. Adapun media yang digunakan mulai dari website, sosial media (facebook daninstagram) dan interaksi langsung menggunakan telepon atau sms sesuai denganperkembangan zaman. Strategi yang digunakan oleh Radio KIIS FM adalah Compability, habbit formation, Control of audience flow, Consevation of program resource dan Mass appcal. Selain itu sehubungan dengan perkembangan zaman Radio KIIS FM kini lebih mudah diakses dengan streaming online hal ini merupakan bentuk respon terhadap perkembangan teknologi yang sekaligus terjadinya perubahan perubahan pada masyarakat dalam mengonsumsi media serta mampu membuka perspektif baru tentang radio selama ini.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Transformation of Communication Behavior of Users of Online Game Mobile Legend: Bang-Bang". The purpose of this study was to find out how students' communication behavior changes after using the online game Mobile Legend: Bang-Bang and to find out how the activities of students after using the online game Mobile Legend: Bang-Bang. The theory related to this research is the uses and effects theory. This study uses a qualitative research methodology with a case study approach. The results of this study are changes in students' communication behavior towards people around them depending on their mood when they play the game. If they lose in the game, they will feel annoyed and angry which will carry over to the people around them, but when they win, they will feel happy and carry out activities as usual. Then there are no negative behaviors such as fighting that students follow from the game; students only tend to be carried away by harsh words in the game. Although the game has nothing to do with special subjects in the students' schools, there is knowledge that they get, namely knowing and understanding new foreign language vocabulary that can be practiced in the real world.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the communication of broken home children in the community environment of Batang Serangan sub-district, Langkat Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The theory used in this research is Self Discloser Theory. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The conclusion in this study found that self-disclosure in interpersonal communication between broken home children and the surrounding community has a different depth of self-disclosure. The relationship between broken home children and the surrounding community is close, because most broken home children are willing to disclose information that is feeling.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the marketing communication strategy of Obelia book publishers in their bookstores in increasing product sales and maintaining the existence of printed books amidst the rise of technological developments that have given birth to the latest information tools in the form of the internet and electronic books (E-books). This study uses a qualitative approach, and the types and data of this research are descriptive. This study uses the theory of marketing communication mix or Marketing Mix, namely advertising, sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing and personal selling. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews with the founder who is also the owner of the Obelia bookstore. The researcher made direct observations in the field and also collected data from previous studies as a reference. The results of this study indicate that the application of Marketing Mix as a marketing communication strategy for Obelia book publishers in Medan is considered effective.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the interpersonal communication patterns of teachers and deaf students and students' responses to communication symbols in SLB Taman Pendidikan Islam Medan. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative research methods and data collection techniques used include interviews, observation and documentation. This research uses symbolic interaction theory which is a theory of how humans communicate with symbols that are carried in everyday life. The results of this study indicate that the interpersonal communication patterns of teachers and deaf students at SLB Taman Pendidikan Islam Medan are using lecture patterns, demonstration patterns and question and answer patterns. SLB Taman Pendidikan Islam Medan uses verbal (oral and written) and non-verbal (sign language) communication in the learning process. Students' responses to communication symbols are in the form of positive responses and negative responses. Positive responses are shown by looking for objects that are similar to the symbols given by the teacher. Negative responses are shown by emotional changes such as confusion, silence, and even rejection from students.

Abstract

Beauty Pageant atau sering disebut dengan kontes kecantikan adalah fenomena sosial yang sedang ramai diperbincangkan di publik. Perempuan dan kecantikan, menjadi hal yang sangat berkaitan karena kedua nya menjadi hal yang sulit dipisahkan. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Setelah dianalisis berdasarkan struktur Framing Sintaksis yang merupakan bagaimana wartawan menysun peristiwa dari pemberitaan terkait Beauty Pageant tidak memihak maupun bertentangan baik dengan personal yang terkait dengan peserta yang ikut didalam kontes kecantikan dan setelah di analisis struktur Framing Skrip yang merupakan pengemasan suatu peristiwa dan kelengkapan berita belum sesuai dengan 5W + 1H sebagai penghubung teks yang ditulis dengan lingkungan komunal pembaca
