Abstract

Identitas sebuah brand merupakan hal mendasar dalam proses pengembangan bisnis dan memperkuat brand itu sendiri. Brand yang dibangun cukup lama harus tetap menjaga kekuatan brand seiring pergerakan era, begitu juga brand baru harus memiliki identitas yang original dan kuat. Pengalaman Tanamera selama 10 tahun di industri maknan dan minuman khusunya kopi berhasil mengembangkan gerai mereka tidak hanya di Indonesia. Dengan identitas brand yang kuat Tanamera juga menghadirkan gerai-gerai yang orisinal dan berciri khas. Salah satu gerai Tanamera yang akan diulas adalah gerai Tanamera di Jalan Sunset Road, Bali. Bagaimana Tanamera menghadirkan eksistensi brand melalui visualisasi dan pengalaman yang dapat dirasakan melalui interior dari gerai tersebut. Membentuk dasar dari proses desain; memahami merek adalah salah satu aspek yang paling penting dari peran desainer ritel. Menggunakan teori Konsepsi Branding dan Brand Touchpoints, Lingkungan Branding, Experimental Marketing yang menggunakan Analisa branding untuk membahas pengaruh branding pada interior gerai. Tanamera merupakan gerai kopi asal Indonesia yang berkembang mulai dari tahun 2013. Dilihat dari portofolio pada website Tanamera, memiliki gerai tidak hanya di Indonesia tapi juga mulai mencakup Asia. Kelebihan kopi Tanamera adalah menyajikan kopi khas Indonesia yang dibudidayakan khusus dan disajikan kepada konsumen melalui tahapan yang yang diolah sendiri oleh Tanamera. Selama 10 tahun di industry makanan dan minuman brand kopi Tanamera selalu menghadirkan gerai yang orisinal dan identic dengan brand itu sendiri. Tanamera menghadirkan pengalaman minum kopi yang autentik khas Indonesia yang berbeda dari brand lainnya, menghadirkan interior dan arsitektural yang mencolok dan kontras menjadikan gerai Tanamera vocal point dan mudah dikenali seperti gerai yang berlokasi di Sunset Road Bali.

Abstract

This research is focused on exploring the relevance of undagi’s indigenous knowledge implemented on post-pandemic interior design as a recommendation for preserving traditional Balinese architecture in the modern era. As UNESCO promoted safeguarding the "Intangible Cultural Heritage" in 2003, all designers must strengthen the cultural side in still relevant designs for the modern era. In Bali, undagi’s (traditional architect) existence declined in the modern era. Undagi’s indigenous knowledge is the basis for the architectural development of traditional Balinese houses (umah) for designing tourism facilities as research objects. This research is a desk study with a critical analytical approach that qualitatively conducts a comparative study between indigenous knowledge and post-pandemic interior design recommendations with two stages of research—in the first stage, critically analyzing post-pandemic interior design recommendations by previous researchers with a systemic literature review. In the second stage, exploring undagi’s indigenous knowledge consists of explicit and tacit knowledge. The result of the two stages is the formulation of the relevance of undagi’s indigenous knowledge in post-pandemic interior design in Bali. The study results show that the undagi’s indigenous knowledge has relevance, which aligns with the recommendations for post-pandemic interior design criteria by previous researchers. This relevance is closely relevant, and several relevant values require development and interpretation to have interconnectivity between modern and traditional values. This process of interconnectivity must prioritize the principle of preserving traditional Balinese architecture in the modern era.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to conduct experiments on enriching the intensity of traditional Balinese colors that are relevant to the application of color in modern interiors and architecture. Research methods:The research method uses online-based experiments by mixing Balinese colors with light and dark characters in a ratio of 66.7%: 33.3%. Mixing is done by crossing process and the results of the cross process are arranged into a Balinese color palette based on Additive Colors. Findings:The color cross method with a ratio of 66.7% light to 33.3% dark produces bali color variants with various tint intensities. The scan results on the Balinese print-based color composition arranged in the nawa sangha cosmology, which is processed online through the dopely.top website, produces relevant colors developed in modern interiors and architecture. The process of diversifying the color intensity will provide recommendations for its application to residential and non-residential interiors. Implications: Provide insight into the use of traditional Balinese colors to designers and architects, in an effort to preserve and strengthen tradition-based knowledge for the development of modern design science.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian dan penciptaan ini untuk mengungkap kesinambungan makna antara narasi film ketika kode estetik arsitektur tradisional Bali dipindahkan ke visual-naratif film documenter. Metode yang digunakan adalah Visual Content Analysis yang secara interpretatif-kritis mengkaji kesepadanan kode estetik arsitektur tradisional Bali ke dalam narasi visual film. Film CUM sebagai hasil karya penelitian dan penciptaan seni, struktur film dan struktur naratifnya menggunakan pendekatan ilmiah yang dibagi dalam beberapa sekuens berdasarkan hitungan cani-watu-segara-gunung-rubuh. Konsep segara diaplikasikan sebagai pembahasan aspek biografis tokoh melalui voice over.Kesinambungan yang harmonis tersebut dapat dilihat pada kesesuaian konsep segara dalam arsitektur tradisional baik secara layout dengan aplikasi dapur (paon), filosofi; serta dalam epsitemologi budaya Bali seperti konsep segara tanpa tepi dan konsep Baruna Brata dalam Asta Brata sejalan dengan maksud sineas dalam penempatannya pada film. Sinergitas antara kesesuaian kode estetik arsitektur tradisional dan film merupakan sebuah terobosan dan upaya pelestarian nilai arsitektur tradisional Bali yang semakin tergerus di era modern, sekaligus memberikan nilai tambah pada karakter film yang berbasis budaya visual Bali.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how the indigenous knowledge lexicon of Balinese undagi (traditional architects) in architecture can be transferred into visual cinematography to preserve cultural heritage, with a focus on engaging broader audiences. Employing an iconographic approach, the research analyzes the documentary Calaccitra Undagi Mahottama: Biografi I Gusti Made Gede (1843-1940) through three stages: pre-iconographic identification of visual motifs, iconographic interpretation of thematic meanings, and iconological assessment of cultural significance. Results reveal that Balinese architectural lexicons—such as Tri Mandala, Sanga Mandala, and CWSGR—are effectively abstracted into cinematic frames via intermediality, using symbolic natural imagery and spatial grids rather than physical structures to convey aesthetic and philosophical values. The study concludes that visual cinematography offers a potent medium for preserving architectural heritage by translating static spatial concepts into dynamic narratives, fostering continuity of traditional knowledge, particularly among younger generations, though its efficacy hinges on audience reception and contextual adaptation.

Abstract

Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk memaparkan kaidah desain interior Bali modern untuk fasilitas pariwisata yang akan ideal diterapkan pada masa pascapandemi COVID-19. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif dengan menggunakan adalah studi pustaka. Temuan: Prinsip desain interior Bali modern yang sesuai adalah: (1) pemanfaatan pencahayaan alami melalui bukaan maksimal dalam interior (2) pemilihan jenis permukaan material yang tidak berpori dan mudah dibersihkan (3) penerapan prinsip desain berkelanjutan pada interior (4) pemanfaatan teknologi informasi untuk mengatur durasi dan pergerakan manusia dalam interior. Implikasi: Keempat prinsip diharapkan dapat menghindari baik pada masa ataupun pasca pandemi COVID-19 sehingga industri pariwisata memberi rasa aman bagi wisatawan dan juga lebih menggali filsafat arsitektur tradisional Bali (ATB).

Abstract

This study analyzes tensions between indigenous cosmology and Indonesian nationalism in the Monumen Perjuangan Rakyat Bali as an expression of Hindu Balinese spatial logic responding to modern nation-building. A qualitative interpretive approach employs semi-structured interviews with architects and historians, along with systematic document analysis. Lefebvre’s spatial triad and Bhabha’s hybridity frame the analysis. Findings show the monument as a sedimented temporal space where mythological and historical narratives coexist without final synthesis. Use of the Samudramanthana epic in nationalist pedagogy produces cultural differentiation rather than a unified identity. Popular adoption of the vernacular name Bajra Sandhi reflects a form of semantic reappropriation privileging religious over nationalist identification. Construction across three gubernatorial administrations indicates ongoing hegemonic negotiation. The study concludes that postcolonial monuments operate as agonistic spaces enabling contestation of meaning while advancing understanding of spatial politics where local cosmology intersects with state projects.
