Abstract

Kata kunci: JST, Algoritma, Backpropagation, Kecerdasan Buatan, Perkawinan Tidak Tercatat Population growth is accompanied by an increase in adult society which enables them to continue their offspring through marriage. In Siantar Martoba District, it was revealed that 91,267 residents did not have a marriage certificate from the Pematangsiantar City Population and Civil Registration Service. Predictions are needed to determine the increase or decrease in the number of betel marriages in Siantar Martoba District in 2023. The Backpropagation Algorithm method is the right method for making predictions. Training data starts in 2017-2021 with a target of 2021, testing data starts in 2018-2022 with a target of 2022. In this research, the network architecture implemented in the Matlab application is applied. Based on the best architecture produced in this research, namely the 4-66-1 architecture with an accuracy of 86% with a mean square error of 0.00009995 and epoch 1897 literations in 34 seconds to achieve the goal. Based on the results of this research, the number of betel marriages in 2023 will increase to 4,366 throughout Siantar Martoba Regency. Abstract

Educational reform is a response to developments in global demands as an effort to adapt the education system to be able to develop human resources to meet the demands of the developing era. In order to be in accordance with its function and nature, ideally education should not be carried out haphazardly, but should be carried out wisely. Education includes activities carried out starting from planning, implementing activities, to evaluation and follow-up programs. The population in this study were all class X students at MA Hubbulwathan, Duri in the 2023/2024 academic year, consisting of 1 class. In this research the sample was selected using quasi-experimental research techniques (pseudo-experiments). After determining the sampling technique, in this study class X students were selected as samples from a population of one class. The results of the analysis show that assignment-based class improvement in the class is better in English subjects. Calculating the relative increase in class reached the conclusion that the proportionate rise in class was higher, namely 41.9% than on normal days. From the level of completeness of class learning that is based on assignments in class, it is better than that, where after conducting research, the results obtained were that in the experimental class of 26 students, 20 of them completed in learning effectively.

Abstract

Desktop mendeley application is actually an application intended to facilitate the creation of citations and a list of libraries commonly used by the authors, so the authors will be pressed error in making the bibliography and facilitate in obtaining the writings to be cited. In addition to creating scientific papers, this application can also be used to manage the files of online journal articles that are the output of a scientific work. Furthermore, participants can utilize this application for the purpose of making a bibliography or collection of abstracts of certain fields of journal articles subscribed. Training activities undertaken in Community Service activities show that participants have a material understanding and the potential to make refernsi managers better and maximum by utilizing mendeley desktop applications.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and describe the influence of the reciprocal teaching model on the ability to write explanatory texts. This research employed a pre-experimental using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population was all the seventh-grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Ogan Komering Ilir. The sample in this research was one class, VIIC, with 30 students. The data collection technique used was a performance test written in explanatory text. Before receiving instruction using the reciprocal teaching model, the test results showed a score of 64.93 for the ability to write explanatory text. After learning to listen through the reciprocal teaching model, the score increased to 79.10. The data shows the average test results for the ability to write explanatory texts before being taught using the reciprocal teaching model and after being taught to listen using a higher reciprocal teaching model, namely 79.10>64.93. Based on the analysis results, it shows that t-test 8.357 > t-table 1.699 with a validity degree of 29 (df 29) with a significance probability below <0.05. The results mean that H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

his research aims to increase students' enthusiasm for learning English using Plotagon animation. Greeting material is a phenomenal and exciting material to be discussed. This research was carried out at STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematangsiantar. This study's population was 1st-semester students majoring in informatics engineering, totaling 34 students. The data was obtained using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique calculates a questionnaire's results about how enthusiastic the students are about learning English with the Plotagon animation. After the data was collected, it was analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. This research shows that more than 85% of students are interested in learning plotagon animation. Students are also more curious about learning Plotagon animation.

Abstract

The ability to write coherent and persuasive argumentative essays is a critical academic skill for university students, yet many continue to face challenges in constructing logical claims, organizing evidence, and applying rhetorical strategies effectively. This study examines the effectiveness and classroom implementation of a local culture-based multiliteracies pedagogy model supported by digital media in improving students' argumentative writing skills in the Indonesian Language course. Employing a post-test only control group design, the research involved two classes: the experimental group received instruction integrating multiliteracies (visual, digital, textual, and cultural dimensions), local cultural content such as folklore and traditions, and digital media including videos and infographics, while the control group followed conventional instruction. Argumentative writing ability was measured through an essay test, and validity and reliability were ensured through expert review, item analysis, and inter-rater procedures. In addition to quantitative data, classroom observations and a teacher journal were analyzed qualitatively to capture how the pedagogy was implemented. Results indicate that students in the experimental group significantly outperformed those in the control group, and qualitative findings further reveal that cultural grounding, multimodality, and critical framing fostered deeper engagement, collaboration, and critical reasoning despite challenges of time management and digital literacy. The study concludes that this pedagogy provides a culturally responsive and digitally enriched model for strengthening academic literacy in higher education. This study advances the fields of multiliteracies and culturally responsive pedagogy by illustrating the empirical benefits of incorporating local culture and digital multimodal texts in improving students' argumentative writing skills in higher education.
