Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Composite resins have excellent mechanical properties, including fast polymerization, aesthetic quality, easy handling, and the ability to adhere to the enamel surfaces. However, there are alsosome disadvantages from this material, one of them is residual monomers. Bulk-fill composite resins areavailable in sculptable (solid) and flowable (liquid) form. Most composite resin matrix is aromatic oraliphatic acrylates. Bis-GMA, UDMA, and TEGDMA are the matrix monomers that are commonly used butshow a high cytotoxicity level. They also have poor mechanical properties such as wear resistance, hardness, tendency to change color, and may cause pulp reactions. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate thenumber of residual monomers in bulk-fill sculptable and flowable composites in the submersion of 75%ethanol solution (10 minutes, an hour, and 24 hours). Methods: Sculptable and flowable composites wereused in this study. Samples (4 mm thick, 5 mm diameter) were prepared and polymerized for 10 secondswith an intensity of 1025 mW / cm2 of a light emitted diode (LED). After the sample was made, each samplewas immediately immersed in a 75% ethanol solution as an extraction liquid and stored in amber-coloredbottles at room temperature. Samples were taken as many as 7 cc at intervals of 10 minutes, an hour, and 24hours. Samples were analyzed by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The data obtainedwere analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis Test, Independent T-Test and Mann-Whitney Test at a significancelevel of p <0.05. Result: The amount of elusion remaining monomers of the bulk-fill flowable compositewas higher than bulk-fill sculptable composite. UDMA composite of bulk fill flowable submersed in 75%ethanol solution for 24 hours was the highest among other monomers. Conclusion: Residual monomerseluted inside bulk-fill composite resins in all time periods and the amount of eluted monomers increaseswith time.

Abstract

Background: Endodontic treatment failure is frequently caused by insufficient coronal sealing or crown restorations. In the longterm, this reduces the dental prognosis. A widely used restoration material that has outstanding mechanical properties is zirconia. Purpose:This report's aim is to describe the management of zirconia crown restorations on first premolars after endodontic treatment. Case: A 54-year-old male patient complained of a lump in the upper right gum area and had a restoration done, but it frequently came off. The patient needs immediate treatment with a longer-lasting restoration. Case Management: Endodontic treatment was completed in a single visit, and a zirconia crown was used as a permanent restoration Conclusion: Zirconia crown restorations on first premolars after endodontic treatment provide aesthetic and promising results.

Abstract

The company is required to provide the best quality with zero defects in the products they produce. However, zero defects cannot be realized. Therefore, strategies were developed to improve product quality using the six sigma method (DMAIC) and the house of quality. The object of research in this study was crumble-shaped broiler feed. Based on the calculations performed, it can be seen that the company's DPMO value and sigma levels are 2,358.248 kg and 4.326. Based on the house of quality that has been arranged, it can be seen that the three technical responses (quality improvement strategies) with the highest ratings that can be prioritized by the company are counseling regarding the application of work instructions and SOPs to all employees, inspection of production machines or equipment before the production process is carried out, and implementation of safety stock and reorder points on fast-moving spare parts. Assuming that the quality improvement strategy is implemented, it can be seen that there was an increase in the Cp value to 1.297, an increase in the Cpk value to 0.7733, a decrease in the DPMO value to 1,257.65, and an increase in the sigma level to 4.521.

Abstract

Kata Kunci: External Fraudsters, Fraud, Internal Fraudsters Abstract In the context of corporate security, fraud is a serious threat that can cause financial losses and damage the company’s reputation. This research aims to develop a method to detect fraud through analyzing the profiles of external and internal fraudsters. This research uses qualitative methods with literature study techniques as data collection techniques. Meanwhile, the data used is secondary data which is the result of PwC and ACFE surveys. The results of this study show that the majority of fraud cases in 2011-2018 were caused by internal fraudsters. However, in 2020 and 2022, external fraudsters began to dominate due to the acceleration of digitization related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The profile of external fraudsters during this research period includes customers, agents, suppliers, and hackers. Meanwhile, most internal fraudsters generally have longer tenure, high authority, are male, 31 to 50 years old, and have an undergraduate or postgraduate education level. This research provides valuable insights to understand fraud profiles and trends and develop prevention strategies to counter these threats. With better cooperation and prevention strategies, the risk of fraud can be reduced, safeguarding the company's reputation and finances. Keywords: External Fraudsters, Fraud, Internal Fraudsters
