Abstract

How do Digital Native Students Responses to Balinese Ethnomathematics Problems? Objectives: This study determines digital native students' responses to ethnomathematical problems in Balinese culture. Methods: This study uses descriptive analysis techniques. The subjects were 42 students of class VIII.1 and VIII.5 SMP Widiatmika. Data was collected through questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The student response questionnaire consists of 3 aspects, namely familiar or not familiar, appropriate or not appropriate, and interested or not interested. The responses data the percentage of positive and negative responses is then calculated. Findings: The results showed that only 16.67% of students are familiar with Balinese ethnomathematics problems, 95.24% of students considered that the ethnomathematics was appropriate in learning mathematics, and 90.48% of students are interested in ethnomathematics. Conclusion: It was found that digital native students tend to give a positive response but are unable to understand Balinese ethnomathematics. Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to provide a solution in the form of training and assistance to teachers and students in using the tool display. Widiatmika Middle School is a private school with its address on Jalan Raya Udayana Campus, Pondok Taman Nusantara No.01, Jimbaran. From the results of interviews with partners, it was found that the school was still limited in using visual aids, especially in learning mathematics. The use of this teaching aid in learning is very important in supporting learning process. Visual aids that are utilized optimally can provide better and systematic learning, directly or indirectly, and can provide convenience for the teaching and learning process in schools. Community service activities in the form of training on the use of circle props at Widiatmika Middle School have been running smoothly. This one-day activity has been carried out offline. The enthusiasm of the lecturers and students in providing assistance as well as the enthusiasm of the training teachers and students made this activity run smoothly        Keywords: learning; teaching aids; mathematics Abstrak: Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu memberikan solusi berupa pelatihan serta pendampingan kepada guru dan siswa-siswi dalam menggunakan alat peraga. SMP Widiatmika merupakan sekolah swasta beralamat di Jalan Raya Kampus Udayana, Pondok Taman Nusantara No.01, Jimbaran. Dari hasil wawancara dengan mitra diperoleh permasalahan bahwa pihak sekolah masih terbatas dalam memanfaatkan alat peraga khususnya dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penggunaan alat peraga ini dalam pembelajaran sangat penting dalam menunjang proses  pembelajaran. Alat peraga yang dimanfaatkan secara maksimal dapat memberikan pembelajaran yang lebih baik dan sistematis, secara langsung atau tidak langsung, serta dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi proses belajar mengajar di sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa pelatihan pemanfaatan alat peraga lingkaran di SMP Widiatmika telah berjalan lancar. Kegiatan yang berlangsung selama satu hari ini telah dilaksanakan secara luring. Semangat para dosen dan mahasiswa dalam melakukan pendampingan begitu juga dengan antusias guru dan siswa pelatihan membuat kegiatan ini dapat berjalan dengan lancar.Kata kunci: alat peraga, pembelajaran; matematika

Abstract

AbstrakJenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental), desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Post-test Only Control Design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 6 Denpasar tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Sempel diambil dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling, diperoleh 2 kelas yaitu kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelompok kontrol dan kelas X IPA 4 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dengan total sampel sebanyak 83 siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan t-test satu pihak (pihak kanan) dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI berbantuan media powerpoint () adalah 80,00 sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional () adalah 73,7. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa thitung ttabel yaitu 4,01 1,98969. Diperoleh thitung ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut terlihat bahwa hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) berbantuan media powerpoint lebih baik daripada kelompok control yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas X SMAN 6 Denpasar tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Penyebab lebih baiknya nilai rata-rata siswa pada kelas eksperimen dikarenakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) adalah salah satu tipe atau model pembelajaran kooperatif yang mudah diterapkan, melibatkan, aktivitas seluruh siswa tanpa harus ada perbedaan status, melibatkan peran siswa sebagai tutor sebaya dan reinforcement.Kata kunci: Perbedaan, Hasil Belajar, Kooperatif, TAI, Konvensional.  AbstractThis type of research is quasi-experimental research, the research design used is "Post-test Only Control Design". The population of this study was all students of class X SMAN 6 Denpasar in 2018/2019 academic year. The sample was chosen with the Cluster Random Sampling technique, obtained 2 classes namely Class X IPA 3 as a control group and Class X IPA 4 as an experimental group with a total of 83 students. Data were analyzed using a one-tail t-test (right tail) with a significance level of 5%. The average student learning outcomes taught by the TAI type cooperative learning model assisted by powerpoint media (1) is 80.00 while the average student learning outcomes taught by conventional learning models (2) are 73.7. The results of the analysis of the research data show that tcount ttable is 4.01 1.98969. Obtained tcount ttable then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on these results it can be seen that the experimental group learning outcomes taught using the cooperative learning model TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) assisted by powerpoint media are better than the control group taught with conventional learning models in class X students of SMAN 6 Denpasar in the 2018/2019 academic year. The reason for the better average scores of students in the experimental class is because the cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) is one type or model of cooperative learning that is easy to apply, involves, activities of all students without having differences in status, involving the role of students as tutors peer and reinforcement.Keywords: Differences, Results, Learning, Model, TAI, Conventional.

Abstract

SMA Negeri 2 Kuta Selatan, yang dikenal dengan nama TOSKA, adalah sekolah negeri yang didirikan pada 3 September 2019. Sebagai salah satu sekolah penggerak di Kabupaten Badung, sekolah ini menghadapi berbagai tantangan, termasuk minimnya jumlah guru penggerak dan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh guru-guru, serta kurangnya publikasi ilmiah. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, diadakan kegiatan Workshop Penulisan Artikel Ilmiah dan Diseminasi Artikel Ilmiah pada 11 Juni 2024. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 50 dari 63 guru dan bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman mereka mengenai publikasi ilmiah. Hasil angket menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi, dengan 79.2% guru menyatakan sangat puas. Program ini melibatkan presentasi materi, praktek pembuatan akun pada OJS Jurnal Pemantik, dan sesi tanya jawab. Diharapkan para guru terus mengikuti pelatihan secara rutin dan bergabung dengan komunitas penulis untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mereka dalam menulis dan mempublikasikan karya ilmiah.

Abstract

Penggunaan e-book komik matematika berbasis edutainment merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan matematis siswa. Namun, penerimaan siswa terhadap media pembelajaran baru biasanya tidak akan berjalan dengan mudah. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 42 siswa kelas VIII.C SMP Negeri 1 Blahbatuh. Penelitian ini berlokasi di SMP Negeri 1 Blahbatuh. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis data deskriptif kualitatif dengan tahap-tahap berikut: reduksi data, presentasi data, serta penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Berdasarkan data yang sudah diperoleh, skor rata – rata hasil respon siswa terhadap kualitas e-book komik matematika adalah 83,07 dengan perolehan persentase ideal 83%, dimana dalam kriteria penilaian ideal tergolong kedalam kriteria “sangat baik”. Berdasarkan rata – rata dan persentase ideal maka dapat diisimpulkan bahwa penilaian respon siswa terhadap kualitas e-book komik matematika dikategorikan “sangat baik” dan bisa dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi lingkaran. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang diadakan ke siswa, siswa menyatakan merasa lebih bersemangat saat belajar menggunakan e-book komik matematika berbasis edutainment. Dari hasil observasi, terlihat siswa sangat antusias dalam mengikuti pembelajaran matematika menggunakan e-book komik matematika berbasis edutainment. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa e-book komik matematika berbasis edutainment merupakan media pembelajaran matematika inovatif yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan matematis siswa.

Abstract

Strategi pembelajaran “What-If” mampu memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana terhadap penerapan strategi pembelajaran “What-If” dalam pembelaharan Metode Statistika I. Desain penelitian yang digunakan merupakan deskriptif kualitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasat semester IIA semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 16 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket serta wawancara tidak terstruktur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, tampilan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 73,75% siswa memberikan respon positif. Beberapa respon dari siswa antara lain: strategi pembelajaran “What-If” mudah diikuti, strategi pembelajaran “What-If” membuat pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan, strategi pembelajaran “What-If” mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar, strategi pembelajaran “What-If” meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan pemecahan masalah matematika jadi lebih mudah setelah belajar dengan strategi pembelajaran “What-If”.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi melalui Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbasis Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) dan video pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dua siklus dengan subjek 35 siswa Kelas X.D SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi tahun akademik 2023/2024. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes dengan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis kualitatif menggunakan model matematika dengan fokus pada manajemen data, sementara analisis kuantitatif mengukur hasil belajar siswa dalam bentuk skor dan persentase. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah diterapkan model PBL dengan LKPD dan video pembelajaran. Pada siklus pertama, ketuntasan belajar mencapai 71,43% dengan rata-rata skor 75,06, meningkat menjadi 94,29% dengan rata-rata skor 80,06 pada siklus kedua. Penerapan model ini diterima dengan baik oleh siswa.

Abstract

This study introduces and evaluates a generative STEM education model grounded in the Subak landscape of Bali, designed to integrate Indigenous ecological knowledge with contemporary science learning frameworks. The model draws on the principles of generative justice-defined as value circulation within communities-and entropic modulation-a concept referring to balancing variation and structure for resilience. Culturally Situated Design Tools (CSDTs), which are simulation-based tools for visualizing ecological processes, were employed to model sustainable farming practices in Subak, focusing on intermittent irrigation data that connects water surface levels, drying periods, drying duration, and timing with changes in temperature, methane emissions, and rice yield. A mixed-methods approach was applied, combining design-based research, participatory action research, classroom observations, focus groups, and pre/post assessments. Preliminary findings indicate a 27% improvement in students’ conceptual understanding, particularly regarding Subak water management, greenhouse gas emissions, and the relationships between irrigation practices, environmental conditions, and rice production. These findings demonstrate that the Subak-based generative STEM model not only enhances student engagement, systems thinking, and ecological literacy but also offers concrete evidence for developing a culturally grounded framework for decolonizing STEM education.

Abstract

Despite the growing recognition of ethnomathematics in enriching student learning experiences, few studies have explored the mathematical content, particularly probability and statistics, embedded within specific indigenous Javanese games. This research addresses this oversight by focusing on the traditional game of Paser, an ancestral practice from Yogyakarta, offering a unique empirical bridge between local cultural philosophy and advanced mathematical concepts. The study aims to systematically identify and analyze the representations of probability and statistical reasoning inherent in the Paser gameplay. Data were rigorously gathered through ethnographic methods, specifically using participant observation, documentation, and semi-structured interviews with cultural practitioners. The findings demonstrate that Paser effectively integrates elements of probability, statistical distribution, and symbolic meaning. A key discovery is the profound link between the Javanese philosophy of hening-hening (inner calm) and an intuitive strategic approach to managing statistical variability, showcasing a deep integration of cultural values and mathematical reasoning. These insights highlight Paser's substantial potential as a contextual medium for developing culturally responsive mathematics education. By situating probability and statistics within a familiar cultural practice, this study not only contributes significantly to the ethnomathematics literature but also provides a tested model for strengthening students' appreciation of their cultural heritage alongside their mathematical literacy.

Abstract

This Community Service program aims to enhance social skills and raise awareness of the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and bullying-free school environment through training for teachers and students in grades 2–6 at SD Negeri 3 Celuk. The activity was carried out on July 10, 2025, using an educational approach tailored to the developmental stages of the participants, ensuring that the material was easily understood and applicable to their daily behavior. The training was conducted interactively through lectures, group discussions, role-play simulations, and the signing of written commitments by students to refrain from bullying as a form of support toward a positive school culture. For teachers, the program focused on strategies to manage a supportive classroom climate, strengthen communication skills, and implement early intervention techniques when signs of bullying appear, enabling them to improve both prevention and handling of bullying incidents. To evaluate the effectiveness of the program, pretests and posttests were administered to teachers. The results showed a significant increase in understanding, particularly among teachers, with the average score rising from 72% before the training to 93% afterward. This improvement indicates that the training contributed to enhanced knowledge, increased empathy, and better social skills that support the realization of a child-friendly school. In addition to providing direct benefits to the community of SD Negeri 3 Celuk, this program is expected to serve as a good practice model that can be replicated in other elementary schools, thereby strengthening sustainable efforts to prevent bullying within primary education settings.
