Abstract

As active mainstream media in Middle East, News station Al Jazeera TV located in Qatar, often produce propaganda. As result, Al Jazeera TV considered threathening the regime. In fact, the force to close this News Station has been a part of threeten demand of Gulf Country when Qatar diplomatic crisis appeared in 2017. This research, the writer focus on Al Jazeera role in the case of the overthrow of the regime of President Mohamed Morsi in Egypt in 2013. Some of the parties claim that Al Jazeera are neutral in delivering the news in present a new viewpoint for this conflict, while the other party claim Al Jazeera is biased for it is impressed by the Muslim Brotherhood that at the time Against President Mohamed Morsi's regime. This study would explain the role of Al Jazeera TV using a public diplomacy approach. Specifically, the study argued that Al-Jazeera support people at the time it was a form of propaganda in public diplomacy.

Abstract

Escherichia coli (E. coli) can be isolated from the environment both inside and outside the hospes body. There were 89 serotypes in which showed 21% resistance to various antibiotics, such as enterotoxigenic E.coli. Alternative efforts are needed to overcome this, one of them through the use of medicinal plants, such as meniran (Phyllanthus niruri Linn). Meniran plant is an immunomodulator that serves to repair the immune system of the body. The aim of research is the research was done through several stages: isolation and identification of enterotoxigenic E. coli from several broiler farms in East Java using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method, E. coli resistance test against some antibiotics, making meniran extract and activation test against enterotoxigenic E. coli n The study was divided into five treatments: T0+ (group of chickens were infected by enterotoxigenic E. coli T0- (control group, not infected), T1 (infected by enteroxigenic E. coli + 20% meniran extract), T2 (infected by enterotoxigenic E. coli + 25% extract meniran), T3 (infected by enterotoxigenic E. coli + 30% extract meniran). Data were analyzed by ANOVA (Analysis of Variance). The results show that all of E. coli DNA isolates which tested by the PCR method show positive reactions at 600 bp. The next stage, the enterotoxigenic E. coli are resistant to some antibiotics, such as amoxicillin, ampicillin, erythromycin, cephalosporins, tetracycline, cloxacillin and gentamicin. Furthermore, the 30% Phyllanthus niruri Linn extract is effective as an antibacterial for antibiotic resistance enterotoxigenic E. coli. next necessary to write that: The 30% meniran extract is potential for kill of enterotoxigenic E. coli

Abstract

The aim of this research was to explore the hematological value of leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius). Total of 20 samples were examined, its consists of 10 males and 10 females, blood samples were taken from vena ventral abdominal and deposited into EDTA tubes, fresh blood leaves little to make blood smear, total blood examination conducted with automatic hematological analyzer ABX MICROS 60 and for total leukocyte and differential leukocyte count used standard manual method. The mean result of hematological value of leopard gecko in this research are WBC (x103/mm3) 7,12 male, 8,09 female, Lymphocyte (%) 46,2 male, 38,4 female, Monocyte (%) 17 male, 17,3 female, Heterophil (%) 18,3 male, 21,8 female, Eosinophil (%) 10,8 male, 13,9 female, Basofil (%) 7,7 male, 8,6 female, RBC (106/mm3) 0,64 male, 0,65 female, HGB (g/dl) 8,95 male, 9,46 female, Hematocrit (%) 10,55 male and 9,26 female. In all parameters showed that hematology value of male gecko leopard was lower than female gecko except on two parameters which are hematocrit and lymphocyte which showed male gecko has the higher value than females, but the hematology value difference of both sexes leopard gecko is not significant except in heterophil value.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the potential of rice bran fermented by the enzyme phytase in basal feed to the total blood cholesterol level of laying hen. This research use an experimental method in vivo with a completely randomized design consisting of six treatments and four replications in each treatment. The experimental animals used 24 48-week-old female laying hen strain Isa Brown. The treatment wa given basal feed substituted with different percentage of fermented rice bran by phytase enzyme and 2% lemuru fish oil supplementation. In this research the amount of fermented rice bran by phytase enzyme substituted on basal feed was: treatment P0 (-) (0%), P0 (+) (0%), P1 (5%), P2 (10%) P3 (15%) and P4 (20%). The results of the statistical analysis showed that there are no significant differences (p> 0.05) on total blood cholesterol levels in all treatments. The conclusion of the research is that rice bran fermented by phytase enzymes tends to decrease total blood cholesterol levels in laying hen.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect after being vaccinated by OMP 52 kDa Aeromonas hydrophila for 1 week and then infected with Aeromonas hydrophila 10 CFU/mL for 4 days on changes in erythrocyte index. Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) used in this study was 10-12 cm long. There were 20 tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) which were divided into 4 groups, consisting of 2 control groups and 2 treatment groups which were given various types of vaccine formulations. Group P0 (-) (unvaccinated and infected), Group P0 (+) (unvaccinated and infected), group P1 (vaccinated with the whole cell protein "HydroVac®" and infected), and P2 (vaccinated with Outer Membrane Protein 52 kDa and infected) by intramuscular injection. Post-treatment blood samples were collected on day 5 post-infection, collected through a caudal punctie and then analyzed using a hematology analyzer. Post-treatment outcomes led to statistically significant changes (p < 0.05). Therefore, the vaccine caused a significant change in the erythrocyte index.

Abstract

Blood-stain or blood splatter analysis when used properly can assist in establishing a chain of events linked to violent crimes (Bevel and Gardner, 2008). The methods used in detecting blood splatters in the field are chemical methods. Leucomalachite green is a colorimetric test which is used to test the presence of blood (Castro and Coyle, 2008). Takayama reagent is a confirmatory test for blood (Strassman, 1922). The aim of this research is to detect the blood splatter on cotton fabric after it has been dried for 1 day, 3 days and 5 days using Leucomalachite green and Takayama reagent. Cotton fabric was specifically chosen for this experiment with 3 different periods of drying. The unstained cotton fabric was cut into squares, and a blood sample was splattered on each piece. The fabrics splattered with blood were then dried for 1 day, 3 days and 5 days. The blood splatter was then tested using Leucomalachite green and Takayama reagent, and the results were noted afterwards. For the control, red food dye was dried for 1 day then tested with Leucomalachite green and Takayama reagent. The image results of the Leucomalachite green test are analyzed using ImageJ software 1.8.0_112 where the red, green and blue pixels are converted to grayscale. The image results of the Takayama test are graded based on the number and pattern of crystal. In conclusion, Leucomalachite green and Takayama reagent are able to detect cat blood splatter on the cotton fabric. Leucomalachite green produced a higher intensity/ darker colour as a result of an older sample, and the lower intensity/ lighter colour as a result of a fresher sample of the Leucomalachite green test. Takayama reagent produced a densely packed pattern of crystals as a result of an older sample, and the loosely packed pattern of crystals as a result of a fresher sample of the Takayama test.
