Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the learning difficulties of class X students of SMAN in Limapuluh Pekanbaru. In this study, the population was all students of class X IPA of SMAN in Limapuluh Pekanbaru. The sample was taken by simple random sampling so that a sample of 72 students was obtained. The instrument of this study is in the form of diagnostic test (multiple choice four-tier) which are arranged based on the syllabus and the main concepts on material momentum and impulses. Data is collected by giving a diagnostic test to the sample. Data analysis in this study uses descriptive analysis with percentage techniques, which provide an overview of student learning difficulties. The results of this study provide information that the percentage of the average learning difficulties of senior high school students in Limapuluh Pekanbaru material momentum and the impulse of the concept of understanding the concept of 13.80% (low), the category of understanding the concept of partially 37.07% (moderate), category of misconception 44.97% (moderate) and the category does not understand the concept of 4.17% (low).Key Words: Learning Difficulties, Diagnostic Tests, Momentum And Impulses

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research is to investigate the improvement of physic achievement in physic learning by using spotlight strategy. Intact group comparison design has been used to find out the differentiate of physic achievement of both group, experiment group and control group. There were 77 students of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru, class VIII that devide into two group, experiment and control have been participated in this research. The physic achievement test that consist of 20 items with multiple choice type was used. This instrument measure the physic achievement from C1 (knowledge) to C4 (analyze) of Bloom Tacsonomy. The descriptive analysis found that physic achievement of students in spotlight strategy learning is higher than conventional learning. The T-tes analysis showed that the differentiate of physic achievement of students was significant at 0,05 level.Key words: Physic Achievement, Physic Learning, Spotlight Strategy

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research isto increase student learning outcomes by the learning cycle 7e model on simple machine materials in class VIII state Junior high school 4 Tebing Tinggi. The research method be used in this study is Quasi experimental with Two-group post-test-only design,that uses two groups. This group consist of an experimental group and group control. The Instrument to collecting data in this study uses written test of students cognitive learning outcomes as a posttest with an objective form.The results of the data analysis for the average students grade on an experiment that uses the learning cycle 7e are higher than the control classusing conventional learning. The percentage of the average value of the experimental class students 74% with a high category while thecontrol class 64% with enough categories. Variations in the number of data values for the experimental class and the control class can be see from the standard deviation of the student’s posttest results. The standard deviation of the control class 9,845 while the experimental class is 9,307 so that variation in the values of the control class tends to be higher than the experimental class with a differences of 0,538. Based on inferential analysis, there are significant differences in student’s cognitive learning outcomes between classes applying the learning on simple plane material. Therefore, both descriptively and inferentially, the use of the learning cycle 7emodelis more effective to improve student learning outcomes on simple machine material in class VIII of SMPN 4 Tebing Tinggi.KeyWords : Learning Cycle 7e, Learning Outcomes, Simple Machine, Two-Group Post-Test-Only Design.

Abstract

 The physics learning process at school does not involve students directly which causes the low cognitive learning outcomes of students. For this reason, it is necessary to apply an effective learning model for improving student learning outcomes. One suitable learning model is the treffinger learning model. The treffinger model provides learning activities with three stages namely basic tools, practice with the process, and working with real problems. These three stages can make students actively and creatively involved in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to find out the effectiveness of increasing cognitive learning outcomes of students on optical material by applying the Treffinger learning model. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample was taken two classes randomly as the experimental class and the control class from the student population in class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. The data collection instrument used students' cognitive learning achievement test consisting of pretest and posttest given to the experimental class and the control class. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis results obtained an average absorption capacity of 72.64% experimental class with a good learning category and 63.47% control class with quite a good category. With the results of the inferential analysis with an independent-sample t-test, there are significant differences in learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class, where the experimental class has a higher increase in learning outcomes. Thus the use of the treffinger model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru on optical material.

Abstract

 The purpose of this research was to find improvement the student physics learning motivation in teaching physics through applying quantum teaching by multi intelegences approach implementation by the first year students at SMA N 1 Kampar on academic year 2005/2006. Improvement learning motivation is seen 15 learning motivation indicators. The subject of the research is the student X3 class of SMA N 1 Kampar the sample taken was 37 student. Research instrument used of collecting data in this research  is questioner first motivation and questioner end motivation. The student motivation data analysis by descriptive analysis and differential analysis. The descriptive analysis showed that : (1) The motivation student learning as the topic rectiliniear motion through applying quantum teaching by multi intelegences approach implementation is categorized high and (2) Improvement the student physics learning motivation through applying quantum teaching by multi intelegences approach implementation 16,2 %.

Abstract

 The purpose of this research was to find improvement in the student physics learning motivation in teaching physics by applying group investigation by the first-year student SMA N 1 Tambang Kampar in the academic year 2005/2006. Improvement learning motivation is seen 15 learning motivation indicators. The subject of the research is the student X1 class of SMA N 1 Kampar the sample taken was 42 students. The research instrument used for collecting data in this research is questioner first motivation and questioner end motivation. The student motivation data analysis by descriptive analysis and differential analysis. The descriptive analysis showed that : (1) The improve student learning motivation as the topic rectilinear motion kinematic by applying group investigation implementation is categorized high and (2) Differential analysis showed that implementation group investigation learning strategy in the learning process can improve student learning motivation  X1 class of SMA N 1 Tambang Kampar with improving 8,8%.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to describe the understanding of physical concepts by the implementation of SAVI strategies (Somatic, Audiotory, Visual, and Intellectual) using media education cards and knowing differences student’s understanding of physical concepts by SAVI learning strategies using media education cards with conventional learning models. The research method used is Posstest-Only design. The research subjects were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru, which is class VIIIA was an experimental class and class VIIID was a control class. The experimental class uses the SAVI learning strategy using education cards media and a control class with conventional learning. The data was obtained from concept understanding test which given to student after the learning process was carried out. Data were analyzed descriptively by using indicator of concept understanding criteria to provide an overview of students' understanding of concepts and also inferentially using the independent-sample t-test.The research result obtained were the average of students concept understanding score in the experimental class higher than controll class.Thus it was concluded that the implementation of the SAVI learning strategy using an education card media has given good influence, improved interest in learning, make students more active, So that it can increase student’s understanding concept of physics in SMP N 23 Pekanbaru on the material vibrations, waves, and sounds.Key Word : Concept Understanding, SAVI Learning Strategies, Education Card

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the improving of students creativethinking ability by applying the experiential learning model, and to know the differencein students improving creative thingking ability in the class applying the experientiallearning method with the class applying the conventional method in SMP Negeri 5Pekanbaru . The population in this study is 296 students that spread over in eightclasses. The sample was taken by simple random sampling method obtained from 2classes with 75 students as the study samples. The design of this study usesnonequivalent control group design. The Instrument of data collection in this study werewritten questions in the form of multiple choice reasoned with 4 choices as much as 13questions through pretest and posttest arranged according the ability to think fluency,flexible thinking ability, original thinking ability, ability to elaborate, and ability toevaluate. The test results were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. Thisstudy shows that the students creative thinking ability taught with the studentsexperiental learning method are higher than those taught with conventional method (P= 0.003, P < 0:05 or H0 is reject ). After the implementation of experiential learning inthe experimental class obtained an average score 70.83% with the creative categoryand the class with conventional models obtained an average score 58.92% with thecategory of quite creative. The results of this study provide information that theapplication of experiential learning models in SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru can improvestudents' creative thinking abilities.Keywords: Experiential Learning model, Creative thinking ability

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the discipline of student learning by applying thecooperative learning model of the trio unit type duel team games tournament(TUDTGT) to earth subject. This type of research is descriptive research. The subjectsin this study were students of class X.MO 2, totals are 33 students. Data collectingtechniques in this study such as observations with data collection research instrumentsare the form of observation rubrics and observation tables. Data analysis of the resultsof the study was descriptive data analysis and data analysis of student learningdiscipline. The results showed students’ learn discipline of class X.MO 2 SMK TarunaSatria Pekanbaru by applying Cooperative Learning Model Trio Unit Duel TeamGames Tournament Type (TUDTGT) on earth subject reaches 81% of the averagepercentage of ideal criteria. Abstract

Abstract :Mobile learning is a learning media that uses technological devices such as mobile phones, laptops, etc. With mobile learning, students can access educational content easily. The research conducted aims to make learning media inthe form of mobile learning media substances and their characteristics that can be accessed boldly. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model which only consists of 4 stages, namely the stages of design analysis, development and evaluation. The data needed are quantitative data, namely 1) questionnaire respondent data about the need for learning resources distributed to students, 2) mobile learning media assessment assessment data with validators, and 3) small-scale mobile learning media score data. The results showed that the average score of the overall validation of the mobile learning media was in the good category, namely 3.37 and the overall small-scale test result was 3.92 with a very good category. So that it can be said that the mobile learning-based learning media on the material and characteristics in SMP class VII have valid all aspects of both content, presentation, language and graphics, and mobile learning is appropriate to be used as a learning resourcein science learning in SMP.Keywords:Learning Media, Mobile Learning Media, Substances and Their Characteristics
