Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengetahuan dan pengalaman siswa dan guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran untuk materi gerak dan gaya di SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. Hasil penelitian ini digunakan sebagai bahan penyelidikan awal untuk merancang media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan pada materi gerak dan gaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 38 siswa dan 3 guru SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik angket tertutup dan wawancara, serta teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa jenis media yang sering digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran fisika dari 38 siswa sebanyak 45% yang menyatakan menggunakan media gambar dan 34% yang menyatakan menggunakan media video, hanya 21% yang menyatakan menggunakan alat peraga. Artinya, media yang sering digunakan yaitu media gambar dan video. Sebagian besar guru masih mengalami kesulitan dan kendala dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran dan pengajaran di sekolah tentang materi gerak dan gaya. Oleh karena itu, perlu dirancang media pembelajaran untuk membantu guru mengatasi kesulitan dan hambatan dalam mengajar serta diharapkan dapat membantu mentransfer pengetahuan tentang konsep-konsep dalam materi gerak dan gaya.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a learning tool with the Means Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model based on problem solving in Newton's Law material for class X high school students. This research was conducted to improve problem solving abilities among students who were still low, especially on Newton material and the lack of learning tools used. The learning tools developed in this study consist of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Student work sheets (LKPD), and Assesment Instrument Tests. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The research instruments used were lesson plans validation sheets, LKPD, and Cognitive Learning Outcomes Tests used by validators to assess learning tools. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity score of each learning device indicator. Based on the results of the validity analysis, the average value of lesson plan validity is 0.78. The average validity of LKPD is 0.75. The average validity of the Learning Outcomes Test Instrument is 0.802. The average validity of the overall device is 0.77, the learning tool for the MEA model based on problem solving in Newton's Law material is declared valid and suitable for use as a learning tool in Newton's Law material.Keywords: learning tools, MEA, problem solving, newton’s law

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in Teluk Sungka Village, Gaung Anak Serka District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, with the aim of empowering the community through the utilization of coconut coir waste into innovative handicraft products with market value. Until now, coconut coir has only been regarded as waste and has not been optimally utilized, even though it has considerable economic potential. The method used in this activity was a participatory approach, actively involving the community through several stages, namely identifying potential, collecting materials, conducting training, practicing handicraft production, and providing assistance during the production process. The coconut coir was processed into handicrafts with the help of latex as an adhesive to produce products such as flower pots and various other decorative items. The results of the activity showed that the community was able to process coconut coir into more useful products that have economic value and the potential to become an additional source of income. Through this program, the community gained new skills while also opening opportunities for the development of creative economies based on local potential.
