Abstract

The cause of most projects experiencing delays is the poor quality of the design. One indication of the low quality of design is the change in design at the construction stage. Changes in design at the time of construction cause a decrease in time performance. There have been many studies related to the quality of design, but no one has specifically linked the quality of design to the time performance of project implementation. On the other hand, indicators for measuring the quality of the design have not been the same among the researchers, so it is necessary to re-examine the indicators to measure the quality of the design so that the results reflect the quality of the design that should be. The research was carried out by combining various design quality indicators that had been used by the researchers before, which allegedly influenced the time performance of building construction. The hypothesis proposed was "Improving the Quality of Design will Improve the Performance of the Implementation of Buildings". The object of research is buildings completed in the last 10 years in Indonesia. The data obtained is then tabulated and performed correlation analysis, intercorrelation, factor analysis, determinant analysis, multiple regression analysis, model test and validation. The result is that improving the quality of design will improve performance time and as a design quality determinant is design compatibility.

Abstract

Construction projects are becoming much more complex and difficult to manage, reciprocal interdependence between stakeholders is one of the causes, such as architects, civil engineers and mechanical. Building Information Modelling (BIM) not only allows the geometrical modelling butalso useful for management of construction project especially in communication between stakeholders. The aims of this papers is to find out the project benefit of BIM as a media communication. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires to large companies both contractor or engineering consultants in DKI Jakarta who have used BIM in communication process. The data is processed by using the structural equation modeling (SEM) method and It was found that the use of BIM could facilitate stakeholders involved in the construction project work team in communicating and coordinating.

Abstract

Construction project implementation mostly faced by rework. Rework couldn’t be avoided and is experienced in a construction world. Rework is defined as all physical work of construction committed more than once or re-work which is done by contractor in the implementation stage, and or an activity to eliminate works that have been done before as a part of construction project out of resource context, where there is no change order and making up the cost from the owner. Rework could give a bad impact to performance, work productivity, and cost directly or indirectly having it has a quite significant consequences. By considering the bad impact obtained has far-reaching consequences, hence efforts to reduce the occurrence of rework in construction project stage is highly needed. This research was conducted to prove the maturity of Shop Drawing as a Determinant of Rework Project Construction of Multilevel Buildings Research carried out by using questionnaires. Respondents at the main survey stage were shown to contractors who were carrying out multistorey construction projects in the DKI Jakarta and surrounding areas. Respondents who filled in theProject Manager questionnaire were 3 people, 7 Site Managers, 5 Supervisors, 6 Quality Controls, 4 Engineering staff. In this study, data analysis techniques are determined using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method, aiming to determine the dominant factors (ranking) of the factors that cause rework inconstruction work to prove the maturity of Shop Drawing As Determine Project Rework Construction of multistorey buildings. The results of this study indicate that the maturity of shop drawings greatly determines the occurrence of rework in multistorey building projects.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on various sectors, one of which is the construction sector. Implementation elements in this sector include materials, labor, delivery or transportation processes, time and mobility that are directly related to the Covid-19 outbreak, so that it can create uncertainty, while infrastructure development is the government's focus. In an effort to overcome the impact of the pandemic in the construction sector. This study aims to learn the implementation of the Covid-19 prevention protocol in the implementation of the National Strategic Project in Margatiga Dam Project work and to determine the significance of the effect of the implementation of the Covid-19 protocol on project management in the aspects of cost, quality, time, health and safety construction. Analysis of the problem was carried out by collecting data and conducting a questionnaire related to the implementation of the Covid-19 prevention protocol at the Margatiga Dam. The data that has been collected is then analyzed or data validation is carried out using the validity test and reliability test methods. The results showed that the Covid-19 Prevention Protocol Implementation has no effect on the Work Execution Time, and the Implementation of the Covid-19 Prevention Protocol has no effect on the Cost of Work Implementation. In addition, the Implementation of the Covid-19 Prevention Protocol has an effect on Safety and Health
