Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of serial image media using on the ability to write a short story narrative essays for fourth grade students of cluster VIII Bengkulu City. Research was quantitative research and the method was a quasi-experimental method with The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study was SDN Cluster VIII Bengkulu City. The samples were students of grade IV of SDN 36 Bengkulu City as the experimental group using serial image media and students of grade IV of SDN 18 Bengkulu City as the control group using ordinary image media. The research instrument was a test in the form of description questions. The data analysis were descriptive analysis, prerequisite test, and inferential analysis, called t-test. The result of this research showed a significant difference between the posttest mean scores of experimental and control group. These result were proved by value of the table distribution based on df = 46 with a degree of significance α = 0,05 is 1,679. So, the value of tcount > ttable (4,368 > 1,679) and sig, (2-tailed) of 0,001 < 0,05. Then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an significant effect of serial image media using on the ability to write short story narrative essays for fourth grade students of cluster VIII of Bengkulu City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Wordwall media on reading comprehension skills of fifth grade students in cluster ten Bengkulu City. This type of research is quantitative research and the method used is quasy experimental method with The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Group Design research design. The population in this study was public elementary school in cluster ten of Bengkulu City. The samples in this study were fifth grade students of public elementary school 58 of Bengkulu City as the experimental group using Wordwall media and fifth grade students of public elementary school 15 Bengkulu City as the control group using media in the form of powerpoint. The research instrument used a test in the form of multiple choice questions. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis, prerequisite test, and inferential analysis, namely t-test. These results are evidenced by the value of tcount = 7.255 and the value of Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.000 and the ttable distribution value is 2.015. So that the value of tcount> ttable (7.255> 2.015) and Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This is based on the difference in treatment between the experimental group and the control group. Thus, from the results of this study it can be concluded that there is an effect of using Wordwall media on the reading comprehension ability of fifth grade students in cluster ten of Bengkulu City.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to explore how the cooperative learning approach known as "Two Stay Two Stray" affects the academic performance of fifth-grade students in Cluster XI Elementary Schools regarding their Indonesian language proficiency. This investigation employs a matched pretest-posttest control group design. The study encompassed all fifth-grade students attending SDN Cluster XI in Bengkulu City as its population. The experimental group consisted of fifth-grade students from SDN 44 Kota Bengkulu, while the control group comprised fifth-grade students from SDN 55 Kota Bengkulu. Data collection involved pretest and posttest assessments using objective test instruments. Descriptive statistics and inferential analysis, specifically the t-test, were employed for data analysis. The findings revealed a significant contrast in posttest scores between the experimental and control groups, as evidenced by the t-value (2.263), which surpassed the critical t-value (1.697). It may be concluded that the "Two Stay Two Stray" cooperative learning approach had an effect on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Cluster XI in Bengkulu City by rejecting the null hypothesis (H0) and adopting the alternative hypothesis (Ha). This conclusion is drawn from the differing treatments applied to the control and experimental groups

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui Desain Pembelajaran Mobile Collaborative Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kerjasama Dan Kemampuan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi Pada Mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Bengkulu; dan (2) mengetahui kemampuan Kerjasama dan kemampuan berpikir Tingkat tinggi mahasiswa PGSD setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan Mobile Collaborative Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Model penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE atau Analysis-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluate. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: Analisis data kualitatif dan Analisis kuantitatif. Proses validasi yang dilakukan oleh ahli menunjukkan bahwa desain ini memenuhi kriteria relevansi, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas, dengan skor rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 4,6 dalam kategori "sangat baik." Hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa desain pembelajaran ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kerjasama mahasiswa. Rata-rata skor kerjasama meningkat dari 3,2 sebelum implementasi menjadi 4,4 setelah implementasi, dengan indikator komunikasi, koordinasi, dan pembagian tugas menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan. Desain pembelajaran Mobile Collaborative Learning berbasis PBL ini terbukti valid dan efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kerjasama serta kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa PGSD di Universitas Bengkulu.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of a culturally responsive teaching approach in the planning of science and social studies (IPAS) lessons for the fourth grade at SD Negeri 44 Bengkulu City. This study is qualitative, using a Content Analysis method. The subject of the research is the fourth grade A teacher at SDN 44 Bengkulu City, while the object of the research is the planning of IPAS lessons in 2022. The research instrument used is the human instrument (the researcher) with observation, interviews, and documentation guidelines. Data analysis focuses on lesson plans, and data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity techniques are ensured through triangulation. The results of the analysis of the culturally responsive teaching approach in the fourth-grade A IPAS lesson plans at SDN 44 Bengkulu City (Merdeka Curriculum) indicate that the teacher has developed teaching modules using this approach. This is evident in the core components of the teaching module, such as learning objectives, assessment, meaningful understanding, triggering questions, and learning activities that include culturally responsive teaching, along with the five components of culturally responsive teaching steps in the learning activities. The conclusion of this study is that the fourth grade A IPAS lesson plans at SD Negeri 44 Bengkulu City, developed by the teacher, have utilized the culturally responsive teaching approach.

Abstract

This study intends to explore the teacher's role as an inspirer in fostering environmentally conscious behaviors among VC class students at Elementary School 5 in Bengkulu City. This investigation falls into the category of qualitative research utilizing descriptive methodologies. The participants of this study included both teachers and students, specifically the teachers of VC class and the students from VC class at Elementary School 5 in Bengkulu City. Data was gathered through observation and interviews. The analysis of data was performed by condensing information, presenting findings, and drawing conclusions. To ensure data credibility, techniques such as source triangulation, technical triangulation, and member checking were employed. The findings reveal the teacher's function as a motivator in cultivating a sense of environmental responsibility in VC class students at Elementary School 5 in Bengkulu City. Teachers encourage students by clarifying intended outcomes, fostering both competition and collaboration, providing accolades, and administering consequences to students who do not refrain from defacing property, failing to dispose of waste properly, neglecting to clean the school environment, enhancing classroom and school aesthetics, and participating in the upkeep of the garden and plants in the schoolyard. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that teachers, in their capacity as motivators, effectively encourage students to develop a commitment to environmental stewardship through indicators such as clarifying objectives, promoting competition and cooperation, giving recognition, and imposing penalties.
