Abstract

The emergence of the da'wa movement shifted the political position in the Islamic struggle as an alternative political movement in realizing the idea of Islamic struggle. These new developments encourage the emergence of new developments of political thought among santri. Moreover, during the current Covid-19 pandemic, new political policies have emerged and rearranged the policy order to suit the current situation. Thus, a new habit emerges called the new normal in the pesantren setting. Likewise, one of the pesantren in Ponorogo, Pondok Pesantren Al-Iman Putri, has one of the featured programs for santri equipped with bilingual. It is Arabic and English. It is expected that santri will master Islamic religious knowledge and compete globally. The results showed that the politics and policies of pesantren implemented bilingualism during the new normal period at PP Al-Iman Putri Ponorogo. It prepared standard operating procedures enforced in it and adjusted to health protocols.

Abstract

In patriarchal cultures and societies, the practice of women’s domestication is commonly embraced. As an educational institution, pesantren are inherently led by the kyai due to their exclusive leadership. Many scholarly studies often neglect the roles of their wives as counterparts or nyai in the pesantren. Even in a broader society, the contributions of nyai in the transformation of pesantren are frequently eclipsed by the roles of their husbands or male counterparts. Therefore, this study aims to comprehend the roles of nyai and how they deal with cultural barriers that are essential for their public participation inside and outside the pesantren. Through an anthropological approach, this study presents the life narratives of two nyais in contemporary Indonesia and demonstrates the significant roles of nyai in the pesantren. It also aims to portray the life experiences of nyais in dealing with cultural barriers and promoting gender awareness to their students (santri). It also explores the interpretation of the gender equality concept within Islamic terms amid the prevailing patriarchal cultures and societies. In addition, it also examines the reception and practices of santri regarding gender awareness and equality. Thus, this study further argues that nyai plays an essential role in promoting gender equality in the pesantren. Nyai’s life experiences and leadership serve as an important modality for the pesantren to transform the society towards just and justice.

Abstract

Literacy culture in pesantren is a process of habituation to reading and writing. This activity is a requirement for students as a provision for learning at the pesantren. It takes a strong and visionary transformation paradigm so that it can lead the institution to be born as an institution that has a strong advantage in a particular discipline or field. This kind of indicator was found by the caregivers of the PP Al-Bidayah in Jember in offering a specification of literacy advantages in reading the kitab kuning with various supporting literature. One of the interesting things that the researcher heard and found was the statement he always echoed to the students, namely "read, read, read. Memorize, memorize, memorize." That's a statement that contains the commitment of the caregivers of the PP Al-Bidayah in motivating the students to study hard. The nature of this research is descriptive-qualitative which seeks to provide descriptions of the background, characteristics and distinctive characters in the field. Data in the form of a description of the activities or behavior of the subject and other documents obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there are several aspects that are emphasized in the transformational leadership model of the Al-Bidayah pesantren caregivers, namely: policy, role model/uswah, learning innovation (implementation of the Al-Bidayah method). Literacy culture can be seen in various daily activities of santri in pesantren, including reading the basic books of the basic theory of nahwu until memorizing; tatbiq activities (analysis of Arabic text by word from the nahwiyyah and shorfiyyah aspects), reading selected nadhoms in the basic theory book for every maktubah prayer, reading nahwiyyah and shorfiyyah dialogue books in every afternoon activity.

Abstract

Children is a state asset which will be the successor to the nation in the future, so that in the formation of character is the most important thing at early childhood education. From that problem, the management of character education in early childhood education (ECD) at PAUD Terpadu 'Aisyiyah Nur'aini by the planning, actuating, monitoring and coaching. Character values ​​embedded in early childhood are 15 character values. Factors that influence the character education management in early childhood can be seen with the SWOT analysis and found to external factors (opportunities and threats) and internal (strengths and weaknesses). Furthermore, the impact of early childhood education management in the characters that can be seen in the future, but there is some value character that has an effect on positive behavior change and polite language and thought patterns are changing for the better, so that the child is directed when in school and at home.

Abstract

Dalam proses belajar dan mengajar, sebagian besar hasil belajar siswa ditentukan oleh peran guru. Bisa juga dikatakan bahwa syarat mutlak untuk pendidikan yang berkualitas adalah keberadaan guru/pendidik. Guru yang kompeten akan lebih mampu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang positif dan akan lebih mampu mengelola proses belajar dan mengajar sehingga hasil belajar siswa berada pada tingkat yang optimal. Selain lingkungan yang nyaman, hubungan yang baik antara guru dan siswa juga sangat penting. Hubungan keduanya tidak seperti hubungan antara atasan dan bawahan, melainkan konsep psikologis kekerabatan sehingga setiap aktivitas yang terjadi di antara mereka berfokus pada pengembangan potensi dan pembentukan karakter. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa menjadikan siswa yang beretika dimulai dari etika guru terhadap muridnya, seperti yang diajarkan oleh Imam Nawawi. Dalam perspektif Imam Nawawi, guru mengutamakan kehati-hatian terhadap siswanya, karena apa yang dilakukan guru akan menjadi pedoman perilaku bagi siswanya. Selain itu, guru juga harus mendidik dan membimbing siswa tanpa pamrih dan tanpa pandang bulu, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa guru peduli terhadap siswanya secara fisik dan spiritual. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian perpustakaan untuk mengkaji lebih dalam hubungan antara guru dan siswa melalui etika guru, pembelajaran yang kondusif, dan hubungan antara guru dan siswa dalam perspektif Imam Nawawi dalam upaya meningkatkan pembelajaran yang kondusif. Penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat bagi seluruh guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan.
