Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how to learn the Al-Arabiyah Linnasyiin book with a direct method to improve speaking skills in Salafi Junior High Schools at the Abu Huraira Institute, Mataram and to analyze the problems in learning the Al-Arabiyah Linnasyiin book with a direct method to improve speaking skills. This study used a qualitative field method with a focus on teaching Arabic to young people at Salafi Junior High Schools at the Abu Huraira Institute, Mataram through a direct, audiovisual, and visual approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from the principal, teachers, students, dormitory supervisors, and OSIS, and were analyzed in a structured manner to understand the effectiveness of learning. This study shows that learning Arabic at Salafi Junior High Schools at the Abu Huraira Institute uses the Arabic for Juniors book as a strategy to improve students' language skills. This book is designed for non-Arabs, focusing on four main skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) with a direct method without translation. The full use of Arabic familiarizes students and prepares them for higher levels. The learning method prioritizes direct interaction and continuous practice in the classroom and dormitory. Teachers apply a participatory approach by involving students in direct conversation and practice. A consistent Arabic-speaking environment and adequate teacher competence make learning interactive and enjoyable. However, there are challenges, such as students' diverse educational backgrounds, difficulties in reading the Qur'an, limited learning facilities, and the influence of a mixed environment with other institutions. The solution needed is to provide a special place so that Arabic language learning is more optimal.

Abstract

History learning in the digital era requires teachers to adapt their teaching strategies to the characteristics of students who are accustomed to technological environments. This study aims to examine the challenges and strategies of history teachers in utilizing digital learning media at SMKN 1 Banjarmasin. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Informants consisted of two history teachers and ten students from grades X and XI who were directly involved in digital-based learning practices. The findings identified four main challenges: limited technological infrastructure, low digital competence among teachers, psychological barriers such as anxiety over technical disruptions, and time constraints due to administrative burdens. The strategies implemented by teachers included self-directed learning through online resources, peer collaboration, involving students in technical support, and using easily accessible digital media. In addition, some teachers integrated digital media with interactive methods such as quizzes and historical role-playing. These findings indicate that teachers are still able to innovate despite existing limitations. Future researchers are advised to further examine the effectiveness of these strategies on learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the views of Islamic law and positive law on husbands who impregnate their wives' younger siblings, and to find out the position of children born from the husband's relationship with his wife's younger siblings according to Islamic law and positive law in Indonesia. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods to understand social phenomena in depth. With this approach, researchers can collect accurate and factual descriptive data about observed behavior and social interactions. Qualitative methods allow researchers to gain a more complex and complete insight into the phenomenon under study, so as to provide a clearer and more comprehensive picture of the observed social reality. This research uses primary and secondary data. Primary data is collected directly from the original source, while secondary data comes from supporting literature. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis was conducted systematically to produce accurate and comprehensive findings. This study concludes that both Islamic law and Indonesian positive law prohibit and sanction the actions of husbands who impregnate their wives' younger siblings, with severe legal consequences in the perspective of Islamic law and criminal sanctions in positive law. Children born from this forbidden relationship have a special status, namely only having a nasab relationship with their mother and not having the same rights as legitimate children, both in Islamic law and Indonesian positive law. Therefore, it is important for the community to understand the legal and social consequences of these illicit relationships and protect the rights of children born in these conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of technology, particularly mobile applications, in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning for elementary school students. Using a pre-test post-test control group experimental design, this research involves two groups: the experimental group using mobile applications in learning and the control group following conventional learning methods. This study measures two main aspects: students' understanding of PAI material and their learning motivation. The results show that the use of mobile applications has a positive impact on students' understanding of PAI material. Students who used the mobile application demonstrated significant improvement in mastering the material compared to the control group. The mobile applications, which present material in multimedia formats such as videos, animations, and quizzes, allow students to understand religious concepts more interactively and engagingly. Additionally, features such as practice questions and immediate feedback help reinforce students' understanding. On the other hand, this study also found that mobile applications can increase students' motivation to engage in PAI learning. Students felt more interested and involved in the learning process using the app compared to conventional methods, which tended to be monotonous. The use of educational games and quizzes in the applications made the learning experience more enjoyable and challenging. However, this study also identified several challenges, such as limited access to technology in some areas and the need for teacher training in effectively using mobile applications. In conclusion, mobile applications can be an effective tool to improve the quality of PAI learning in elementary schools, provided they are implemented properly and supported by adequate infrastructure.
