Abstract

In line with circular economic, the role of green entrepreneurship (GE) should be useful in preserving environmental sustainability. However, so many people are less aware of the importance of sustainability and green behavior in business activities. Therefore, the goal of the study is to explore a linkage of green value, GE, and sustainable development that is perceived by entrepreneurship students in Jakarta, Indonesia. 180 students were involved as respondents resulting in significant impacts. By using Smart-PLS proves significant relationships and finds a mediating effect of GE which links green value to sustainable development at the level of 5 percent. It forms a green triangle approach in promoting sustainability education for university students so that this linkage signs a good perception of students in expressing green value toward GE and sustainability issues. It is an early stage in promoting the triple bottom line so that the learning system could collaborate with stakeholders for enhancing the sustainability system in entrepreneurial education.

Abstract

As appreciation for achieving the SDGs agenda, a study was carried out to produce sustainable entrepreneurship activity instruments. This process adopts a model previously prepared by Schlange in 2006 with using a triple bottom line framework. The sustainable entrepreneurship activity construct consists of three dimensions including economic, ecological and social activities with totally 18 indicators. This study involved 99 entrepreneurship students as respondents with the overall results of the indicators meeting the Cronbach's Alpha and composite reliability criteria, however the results of the convergent and discriminant validity tests were not completely valid. The results show that sustainable entrepreneurship has not been perceived ideally by respondents. There is a need to increase education, especially regarding ambiguous indicators. The implications of these results are applied to curriculum development as a value for universities in appreciating the goals of sustainable development.

Abstract

The unemployment rate in Indonesia is very high due to high population growth resulting in an imbalance between job seekers and available jobs. One approach that can be taken to overcome unemployment is through entrepreneurial mechanisms. However, the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia is still very low so researchers are interested in conducting research related to variables that can affect entrepreneurial intentions in students at management program of economic faculty and business of Tarumanagara University. It involves entrepreneurship education, subjective norms, and entrepreneurial attitudes. The theory of planned behavior serves as the underlying framework for conducting research. The sampling design was carried out using convenience sampling techniques using a sample of 103 students who were or had taken entrepreneurship courses. Data processing methods are applied utilizing the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling approach for data analysis. The results indicate that subjective norms and attitudes toward entrepreneurship positively and significantly influenced entrepreneurial intentions, while the impact of entrepreneurship education, although positive, did not reach statistical significance. These results are as information in developing entrepreneurial education programs on campus.

Abstract

Family businesses encounter succession crisis, with only 10% to 15% successfully transitioning to the third generation. The sustained operation and growth of family enterprises are intricately linked to the effectiveness of generational transitions. The absence of a structured transition process in family business continuity often stems from the insufficient interest and commitment of the Next Generation Members (NGM) to perpetuate their family enterprises. Hence, there is a pressing need for research into the determinants influencing NGM's intentions to sustain family businesses. This study investigates and evaluates the impacts of career interest, self-efficacy, and parental support on NGM's intentions to continue family businesses. Employing a non-probability sampling technique, data is collected through an online Google Form questionnaire from 121 respondents. Data analysis is conducted using SmartPLS. The study sample comprises NGMs based in Jakarta. The findings revealed that career interest positively and significantly shaped NGM's intentions to continue family businesses, self-efficacy similarly exerts a positive and significant impact, while parental support yields a negative and non-significant effect on NGM's intentions to continue family businesses. The results of this study provide information for family business owners in preparing for business succession in the future.

Abstract

As an effort to pursue the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs) in higher education, this study identifies the potential for growing student interest in sustainable entrepreneurship. The basic idea in this study is to involve corporate social sustainability (CSR) as a support for forming interest in prospective and new entrepreneurs in this model. For this reason, the goal of this research is to identify the relationship between perceived CSR support and students' intentions for sustainable entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurial students were selected as a sample (n=90) using a convience sampling method. The validity and reliability testing indicate that the six indicators of sustainable entrepreneurial intention are valid and reliable. The same results occurred for ten indicators of perceived CSR support. Results show a significant influence of perceived CSR support on sustainable entrepreneurial intention. The path coefficient produces a t-statistical value (16.735) with a p-value (0.000) so that the hypothesis is accepted at the 5 percent significance level. The regression results produce an R-square of 0.665 with an adjusted R-square of 0.661, thus depicting a relatively large contribution in forming sustainable entrepreneurial intention. The contribution of other factors was identified as 43.90 percent in forming this intention. These results are in accordance with the theory of planned behavior, theory of triple bottom line, and theory of pyramid CRS. The supporting realizes a balance between achieving economic growth, social welfare, and environmental sustainability. The formation of good perceptions regarding CSR support indicates that this mechanism is one of the entrepreneurial ecosystems that can be relied upon to support an atmosphere of sustainability in entrepreneurial learning and practice. As a suggestion, it is necessary to increase stakeholder involvement in education sector so that it will be in line with the SDGs agenda in 2030.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention with the dimensions of family entrepreneurial orientation as mediators. The dimensions tested include proactiveness, autonomy, competitive aggressiveness, and professional autonomy. Data were collected through questionnaires from final-year students at private universities located in java and bali, and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling with smartpls 4.1.0.8. The results show that entrepreneurship education has a positive effect on entrepreneurial intention, but only competitive aggressiveness significantly mediates the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention. Other dimensions of family entrepreneurial orientation, namely proactiveness, autonomy, and professional autonomy, do not mediate or strengthen the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention. This study uses a first-order measurement model. The findings provide insights that while entrepreneurship education can enhance entrepreneurial intention, the impact of family entrepreneurial orientation dimensions as mediators is limited, particularly with competitive aggressiveness proving to have a significant effect. This research also reveals that other dimensions of family entrepreneurial orientation, such as proactiveness, autonomy, and professional autonomy, do not effectively mediate the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention, indicating that family factors and family entrepreneurial orientation do not always drive entrepreneurial intention among students in indonesia.
