Abstract

Obesity in adolescents can cause various health problems, both physical and psychological. Physical consequences include increased risk of heart disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, respiratory problems, bone and joint problems, and the risk of certain cancers. In addition, obesity can also cause psychological problems such as low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety, as well as social problems such as bullying. Hypertension in adolescents is a problem because it will continue into adulthood with a high risk of morbidity and mortality. The increase in obesity is accompanied by an increase in comorbidities that have the potential to become degenerative diseases in the future, such as coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes and hypertension. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between obesity and the incidence of hypertension in adolescents. This study was conducted in the Tanjungpinang Health Center work area on January 10-13, 2025. The study design used a cross-sectional. The population in this study were adolescents in the Tanjungpinang Health Center work area, the sample in this study amounted to 30 people. The hypothesis test used was chi-square. The results showed a relationship between obesity and hypertension in adolescents with a ρ-value of 0.003 (ρ ≤ 0.05). It is hoped that in the future adolescents can control their weight within the ideal range so that the risk of hypertension can be minimized.

Abstract

The occurrence of gouty arthritis in the joints can be very disruptive to daily activities. These effects include severe joint pain/ache, inflammation, redness, and a warm sensation in the affected area. In addition, gouty arthritis can also cause long-term complications such as joint damage, tophi (lumps of uric acid crystals under the skin), kidney stones, and even kidney failure if left untreated. To overcome the problem of pain can be done pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. Non-pharmacologically, namely with warm compresses of red ginger. This scientific work aims to provide comprehensive nursing care to clients with acute pain disorders and the application of warm red ginger compresses. This research uses descriptive observational methods in the form of case studies. The subject in this case is Mr. E who is 72 years old with Gout Arthritis at Rumah Bahagia Embung Fatimah Social Service of Tanjungpinang City. Data were obtained from interviews, observations, physical examinations, supporting examinations, and documentation studies. The implementation of nursing care was carried out for 3 weeks from December 31, 2024 - January 17, 2025. The results of nursing care decreased pain intensity using pain scale measurements (Visual Analog Scale). After 3 weeks of nursing action the client's pain scale was at score 0 (no pain). It is hoped that the results of this scientific work will become additional knowledge for health services and the Rumah Bahagia Embung Fatimah in dealing with acute pain disorders by applying warm compresses of red ginger so as to improve health services to clients.

Abstract

Introduction: The increasing number of the elderly population will cause health problems in the elderly, including mental health problems. However, study of anxiety in elderly is limited. Seeing the conditions experienced by the elderly, it is very necessary to pay attention and to provide intensive mental guidance which is then studied, internalized and practiced by the elderly in daily life. This study aims to determine the effect of guided imagination techniques on elderly anxiety. Method: The research design was a pre-experimental pre and post test design with 30 elderly respondents. Sample was chosen by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected by using Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale. Results: After the intervention, it was found that guided imagination had an effect on the anxiety score of the elderly. Conclusions: This study concludes that guided imagery can be applied to create a relaxation effect to elderly, thus will have an impact on anxiety level.

Abstract

Health literacy dan self efficacy merupakan faktor dalam meningkatkan perilaku pencegahan penyalahgunaan napza. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan health literacy dan self efficacy tinggi agar dapat meningkatkan perilaku baik dalam pencegahan penyalahgunaan napza. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan health literacy dan self efficacy dengan perilaku pencegahan penyalahgunaan napza di Posyandu remaja wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kampung Bugis Kota Tanjungpinang. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi sebanyak 60 responden, teknik sampling menggunakan total sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi spearman rho. Hasil univariat diperoleha proporsi health literacy tinggi (68.3%), self efficacy tinggi (75%) dan perilaku pencegahan penyelahgunaan napza yang baik (88.4%). Hasil analisis bivariat health literacy diperoleh p value = 0,009 (p<0,05) dan self efficacy diperoleh p value = 0,015 (p<0,05) dengan perilaku pencegahan penyalahgunaan napza. Disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara health literacy dan self efficacy dengan perilaku pencegahan penyalahgunaan napza di posyandu remaja wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kampung Bugis. Therefore, high health literacy and self efficacy are needed in order to increase good behavior in preventing drug abuse. This study aims to determine the relationship between health literacy and self efficacy with drug abuse prevention behavior in youth Posyandu in the working area of the Kampung Bugis Community Health Center, Tanjungpinang City. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. The population is 60 respondents, the sampling technique uses total sampling. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Spearman rho correlation test. The univariate results showed that the proportion of high health literacy (68.3%), high self efficacy (75%) and good drug abuse prevention behavior (88.4%). The results of the bivariate analysis of health literacy obtained p value = 0.009 (p <0.05) and self efficacy obtained p value = 0.015 (p <0.05) with drug abuse prevention behavior. It was concluded that there is a relationship health literacy and selfe efficacy with drug abuse prevention behavior in youth posyandu in the working area of the Bugis Village Health Center. Abstract

Pain is the main complaint most often expressed by sufferers and is the most common reason for seeking and getting medical help. Complementary therapy has recently become the center of attention of many countries, this is because of the holistic philosophy of complementary therapy which means harmony within oneself and health promotion in complementary therapy. This article aims to identify complementary sensory therapies movement to reduce pain. The method used in making this article is critical review. Articles were collected through the Medline database, Google Scholar, Science Direct, Pubmed using keywords: pain, complementary therapy, sensory therapies. The articles selected are those that meet the criteria based on PICO, are published in the range 2009-2019, and in English and Indonesian. The article is then evaluated using the critical appraisal and PRISMA guidelines. Based on the evaluation, there are 6 (six) articles that fit the purpose and review criteria. Aromatherapy and music therapy affect the decrease in pain intensity in patients characterized by a decrease in the average value of pain intensity before and after aromatherapy and music therapy are given. Keywords: Pain, Complementary Therapy, Sensory Therapy
