An accidental sampling technique was used to obtain a total sample of 34 respondents. The data were analyzed using Fisher’s exact test. Results: Based on the results of statistical tests, it is known that the level of anxiety related to hemodialysis patients, namely hemodialysis duration with Fisher's exact (P= 0.020). While the hemodialysis time value (P= 0.173, and work status value (P = 0.080), there was no association with the anxiety of hemodialysis patients. Conclusion: This study concluded that the duration of hemodialysis was related to the anxiety of hemodialysis patients, whereas there was no result in hemodialysis and occupational status related to the incidence of anxiety in hemodialysis patients. Therefore, healthcare providers should concern about the duration of hemodialysis time to prevent anxiety.

In an explanation by a heart and blood vessel specialist at RSUD dr. Iskak, dr. Arif Wibisono, SP. FIHA said patients who underwent PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) procedures were heart patients with characteristics of the patient’s condition that did not improve or even worsen. Assume that patients with ACS (Acute Coronary Syndrome) would be better off if a PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) procedure was performed instead of only being given blood clotting drugs. This study aimed to explore the experiences of ACS (Acute Coronary Syndrome) patients undergoing PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) procedures. The method used in this research is a qualitative method using a case study research strategy, research by testing the validity of data by triangulating sources and analyzing data using domain analysis. The results of this study obtained 2 themes, 1) anxiety with the sub-theme feeling of anxiety before the PCI procedure, 2) Ease of health facilities with the sub-theme of health facilities obtained.

Abstract

Stress in diabetic patients creates a serious issue with disease severity. Stress can significantly impact an individual's physical, psychological, intellectual, social, and spiritual. In addition, stress becomes a threat to the physiological imbalance. By considering the magnitude consequences of stress on diabetic patients, it is necessary to find a way to manage stress. The research aimed to determine the relationship between spirituality and stress levels in diabetic patients. The correlational design was used and conducted at the Dinoyo Public Health Center using an accidental sampling technique. The number of respondents in this study was 150 diabetic patients, and the sample of the study was calculated using the G*Power application. The questionnaires used to collect data were Multidimensional Measure of Religiousness/Spirituality and Perceived Stress Scale-10. The data was statistically tested using Spearman Rho. The results showed a p-value or significant value (0.000) less than α (0.05), which means there was a relationship between spirituality and stress levels in diabetic patients. In conclusion, the diabetes patients showed a high level of spirituality within low-stress levels on average.

Abstract

Background: Microplastic pollution is a significant environmental and public health issue in Indonesia, including Malang, where public awareness about its dangers remains limited. Aims: This community service program aimed to enhance knowledge about the dangers of microplastics and preventive measures through health education. The program was attended by 48 participants, consisting of 18 men and 30 women, with an average age of 54 years. Educational backgrounds included 67% high school graduates and 33% university graduates. Method: Pre-test assessments revealed a low baseline knowledge level, with an average score of 56.4. Following the educational intervention, the post-test average score increased to 76.7, demonstrating a 20.3-point improvement. Result: The significant increase in knowledge highlights the effectiveness of tailored health education programs. Factors contributing to the success included the use of audience-specific teaching methods and practical demonstrations. Women represented a larger proportion of participants, reflecting their active role in health-related educational activities. Conclusion: The findings suggest that health education can effectively bridge knowledge gaps and serve as a foundation for promoting sustainable behavior changes, such as reducing single-use plastic consumption and improving waste management practices. Despite the positive results, follow-up activities and community engagement are essential to sustain and reinforce learning outcomes. Future interventions should focus on behavioral changes and involve diverse demographic groups to maximize community-wide impact. This program underscores the importance of continuous education and practical actions in addressing microplastic pollution and mitigating its long-term effects on health and the environment.

Abstract

Free sexual behavior poses significant risks, including sexually transmitted infections, unintended pregnancies, and the potential for illegal abortions. The prevalence of free sexual behavior among adolescents is often attributed to inadequate reproductive health education. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a health promotion program utilizing game-based learning among students in a rural school setting. This study employed a a pre-experimental study pre-post-test group design with a sample of 31 students from Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Munawaroh Malang (grade nine). This research did not use a control group. Respondents were provided premarital sex education using power point presentation, a card game and educational BINGO games. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data was analyzed using paired t-test. The game-based learning method demonstrated significant effectiveness in improving adolescents' premarital sex knowledge. The average pre-test knowledge score was 6.0, while the average post-test score increased to 9.6, indicating a substantial improvement. This finding is statistically significant (p = 0.0000.050), suggesting a notable enhancement in cognitive abilities related to premarital sex knowledge among the adolescent participants. Pre-marital sex education delivered through a Game-Based Learning approach, incorporating PowerPoint presentations and games media, has the potential to empower adolescents with the knowledge and skills necessary to establish healthy sexual boundaries, prevent risky sexual behaviors, and reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections.
