Abstract

This research is motivated by problems in the world of education, that the values of character education get less attention because more directed to the mastery of academic or cognitive aspects. While the actual nonakademik aspect becomes the main foundation in character education less attention, so less embedded in learners. Therefore, this study aims to instill the values of character education contained in the novel Rantau Satu Muara by Ahmad Fuadi. This novel is chosen because it is closely related to the values of character education. The type of this research is qualitative with descriptive analysis method. This research also uses the approach of literary sociology. The data collection is done by the researchers themselves. The researcher recorded and analyzed the data during the research to collect the data taken in the novel text then the researchers themselves processed and analyzed the data in detail. The results of this study are the values of character education in the novel Rantau Satu Muara by Ahmad Fuadi which contains the values of character education, as follows. (1) Educational values of religious characters with indicators of sincerity, diligent worship / prayer, prayer, thanksgiving, and put your trust in. (2) The values of hard work character education with indicators of earnest, unyielding, aspiring and creative. (3) The values of education of the love character of the homeland with nationalist indicators and respect for diversity. (4) Educational values of the character communicative / friendly with indicators of cooperation, social care, love out, affection, kindness and respect the achievements of others. (5) The educational values of the characters love to read with the indicators of love science and diligent reading. (6) Values of character education responsibilities with independent indicators.

Abstract

Pengaruh teknologi digital terhadap budaya membaca saat ini sangatlah besar. Terlebih, ketika dunia dilanda pandemi Covid 19, termasuk Kota Padang, Sumbar. Banyak bidang yang terpengaruh terutama bidang pendidikan. Pendidikan di Indonesia khususnya Kota Padang menerapkan sistem sekolah daring dan tatap muka terbatas. Hal ini mengakibatkan siswa-siswa banyak belajar di rumah dari pada di sekolah. Proses belajar menagajar banyak dilakukan secara online. Dampak dari situasi ini banyak siswa yang memanfaatkan untuk menggunakan media belajar handphone dan laptop untuk bermain game. Apalagi kegiatan ini tidak diawasi oleh orang tua, siswa pun dengan bebas bisa mengakses handphone/laptop. Selama masa pandemi ini tidak dipungkiri juga bahwa minat belajar siswa terutama dalam hal membaca menurun drastis. Oleh sebab itulah, penulis melakukan pelatihan ini agar budaya membaca siswa kembali meningkat dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital seperti handphone/laptop ini. Output yang dihasilkan adalah budaya membaca siswa dapat meningkat dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital sehar-hari yang mereka gunakan seperti handphone/laptop. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil pelatihan terhadap siswa ini ditemukan bahwa siswa sangat senang dengan membaca karena telah mengetahui aplikasi atau situs yang ada di internet yang bisa mereka akses dengan mudah yang menyuguhkan bahan bacaan yang menari dan edukatif.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is issues in education sector, where values of character education were not poorly highlighted because of tendency toward academic or cognitive concerns. Education currently is more pursuing student’s graduation target. This research is purposed to develop values of character education that contained in Ahmad Fuadi novel “Rantau Satu Muara”. This research is qualitative with descriptive analysis method. This research is also using sociology literature approach. Data were collected by researcher where data was recorded and analyzed during periode of research to collect data from novel’s text, then it processed and further analyzed in detailed. Results of this research are values of character education in “Rantau Satu Muara” novel by Ahmad Fuadi which are contain values of character education there are religious, hard-driving, nationality, communicative/friendly, reading interest, and responsibility. Keywords: value of character education, novel “Rantau Satu Muara”, sociology literature review.

Abstract

Background of the problem of the research were: 1) writing an argumentation is a difficult thing for the students, 2) less interest of the students in writing argumentation, 3) students lack master and knowledge of good writing concepts. The pupose of this research is to find out how much the contribution of the master of writing concepts to the ability to write essays in class X MA Negeri X Koto Singkarak. Population of the correlation research is the students of into students of grade X MA Negeri X Koto Singkarak sub province of Solok year 2016/2017 with the total sample 40 students. Technique of the taking sample used is total sampling. Instruments of the research used are objective test of mastery of the writing concept and performance tests for writing essay arguments. This Research data in the form of score that have been converted into scores.Data analysis techniques by changing scores into grades. Testing requirements analysis (homogenety test normality test and linearity test) and hypothesis testing Pearson Product Moment (PPM). The Result of the research concluded that writing concept shows the significant contribution in 29,59% into writing ability of an argumentation. The findings of this research indicate that the hinger the level of master of syudent’ writinh concepts, the hinger the ability to write essays of argumentation. Therefore, The teacher is advised to pay attention to the master of students’ writing concepts and Gide encouragement to students to do writing avtivties so that their argument writing abilities improve.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas III SDN 04 Pasa Gadang, Kec. Padang Selatan, Kota Padang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat kontribusi penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis quantum learning untuk meningkatkan motivasi dalam mengerjakan latihan atau tugas dalam buku panduan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas III SDN 04 Pasa Gadang, kota Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan sampel semua siswa kelas III SDN 04 Pasa Gadang, Kota Padang yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling karena kelas sampel yang tersedia terbatas. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi. Kemudian, hasil analisis instrument menunjukkan peningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis quantum learning di kelas III SDN 04 Pasa Gadang, Kota Padang.

Abstract

Artikel ini ditujukan untuk mendeskripsikan dimensi edukasi yang terdapat dalam ungkapan larangan masyarakat Minangkabau. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada empat tempat di kota Padang, yaitu: Padang Barat, Padang Timur, Padang Utara, dan Padang Selatan. Data penelitian ini adalah ungkapan larangan masyarakat Minangkabau yang dikumpulkan melalui hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan penghulu, cerdik pandai, dan alim ulama. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan dua hal. Pertama, bentuk ungkapan larangan masyarakat Minangkabau dapat direkonstruksi berdasarkan pelanggarnya, yaitu: wanita hamil, anak perempuan, dan anak laki-laki. Kedua, dimensi edukasi ungkapan larangan masyarakat Minangkabau juga dapat direkonstruksi berdasarkan tindakan, yang terdiri atas tiga dimensi edukasi, yaitu pekerjaan, pertanda, dan kesehatan tubuh. Dimensi edukasi yang terkandung dalam ungkapan larangan masyarakat Minangkabau ditujukan untuk semua orang dan berfokus pada konteks dan perbuatan yang dilanggar, seperti: duduk, menyapu, bermain, bekerja, berjalan, makan, dan aktivitas keseharian lainnya yang terlihat tidak etis atau sumbang.

Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi dan edukasi di salah satu Sekolah Dasar SD IT NURI di Air Tawar Timur di Kota Padang Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Kegiatan ini diusulkan untuk mensosialisasikan pentingnya manajemen waktu untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Sosialisasi diharapkan dapat membantu siswa memahami pentingnya manajemen waktu dengan membuat jadwal kegiatan harian sehingga siswa dapat memanage waktunya dengan efektif dan efisien. Pentingnya memanajemen waktu dikarenakan memiliki banyak dampak seperti memiliki prioritas yang jelas, dapat mengurangi keterlambatan, tepat waktu dalam melakukan pekerjaan sehingga dapat meningkatkan kepuasan dalam mengerjakan tugas, memiliki kemampuan untuk tetap berkonsentrasi terhadap tugas sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas, dan dapat melatih kebiasaan disiplin untuk hal-hal yang berhubungan dengan waktu sehingga tugas yang dilakukan akan lebih efisien. Tujuan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa agar dapat memanajemen waktu mereka sehingga tumbuh perilaku disiplin yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa kegiatan yaitu tahap survei yaitu sosialisasi dilakukan dengan menyusun berbagai hal yang akan disampaikan pada saat kegiatan pengabdian yang akan dilakukan yang meliputi: penyusunan materi yang akan diberikan, penyusunan jadwal pemberian materi, pembagian tugas tim pengabdian dan survei ke lokasi pengabdian. Tahap sosialisasi yaitu sebelum kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan terlebih dahulu dilakukan tahap sosialisasi yaitu melakukan silaturahmi dengan kepala sekolah, menyampaikan maksud dan tujuan pengabdian ini. Pada tahap ini juga dilakukan jalinan kerjasama dan menentukan jadwal kegiatan pengabdian.

Abstract

This paper deals with the fact that special code mixing is used by every people for their caption. Include the Influencer. They promoting the products on Instagram using unique, chic, and fancy captions that will make their fans interested. The code mixing, which is employed in this case involve words or phrases identified as woman language. The data were taken from documented captions, which accompany the Influencers with the most people love their photos from Indonesia. The data focuse on Indonesian clauses or sentence mixed by English language. The result of study demonstrates that code mixing in the captions is the woman language features; empty adjective, special color terms, hashtags, polite form and sweet clossing, used by women but commonly avoided by men. In this case, those features as a certain group with distinctive language features. Internal and external factors determine the process of certain language features to be a marker of the group as well.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of conventional methods and media in the learning process of Indonesian Language Education courses at UPI Padang. To support the varied learning styles of students, lecturers need to develop teaching materials that solve the problems in the learning process. One of them is developing modules and using technology, because the development of e-multimedia encourages the combination of print technology and computer technology in learning activities. In line with this problem, it is necessary to conduct a research to produce an Indonesian Language Learning Model using a validity, practicality, and effectiveness multimedia e-module for students using the ADDIE development model. The type of this research is development research. The sample of this research is students majoring in PTIK, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, which is taken by means of random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used instruments in the form of questionnaires and tests to obtain the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed e-modules. The data had been collected and was analyzed then the results obtained that the process of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, the development of e-modules in Indonesian courses was based on the results of analysis and validation by experts in the medium category

Abstract

Background : Higher Education Performance Indicators, the decision of the Minister of Education and culture number 754 / P / 2020 that there are two recommended learning methods, namely the Case learning method which reduces the Case based learning method and the Team Based Project which reduces the Project Based Learning method. Method : This research is motivated by the low writing skills of students and also the lack of strategies in teaching writing, especially writing scientific papers in the form of papers. Students have difficulty in using grammar, cohesion, coherence, paragraph organization, diction, and spelling errors. Result : The data and data sources in this study were students of the Department of Informatics Engineering Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Putra Indonesia University, Yptk Padang. The steps taken in this research are looking at the analysis of student needs, designing and implementing it in the learning process and evaluating the results of assignments. Conclusion : The findings in this research, students can conclude from the results that the application of the team based project model can improve students' abilities in writing scientific papers, especially papers
