Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis, kemampuan koneksi matematis serta self efficacy dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah mix methods dengan tipe embedded design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMAS Angkasa Bandung 2019/2020. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 2 kelas, dimana 1 kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 1 kelas sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, tes kemampuan koneksi matematis, skala sikap self efficacy, observasi dan wawancara. Data yang digunakan untuk menguji perbedaan dua rata-rata adalah uji-t dan korelasi (kuantitatif) serta deskripsi (kualitatif). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan model Problem Based Learning lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional, 2) kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan model Problem Based Learninglebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional, 3) Self-Efficacy siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning termasuk kedalam kategori yang baik, 4) terdapat korelasi antara kemampuan komunikasi matematis dengan self efficacy siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaranProblem Based Learning, 5) terdapat korelasi antara kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dan self efficacy siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaranProblem Based Learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan reward, pemahaman matematika siswa dapat meningkat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen tipe embeded dengan tiga perlakuan di tiga kelas berbeda. Kelas eksperimen pertama diberi perlakuan pendekatan saintifik dengan reward, kelas eksperimen kedua diberi perlakuan pendekatan saintifik tanpa reward, dan kelas kontrol yang diberi perlakuan pembelajaran langsung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu instrumen tes berupa pretes dan postes, yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji perbedaan rerata. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman matematika antara kelas saintifik dengan reward, kelas saintafik tanpa reward dan kelas kontrol, terdapat perbedaan pemahaman antara kelas saintifik dengan reward dan kelas saintifik tanpa reward, begitu juga ada perbedaan pemahaman antara kelas saintifik tanpa reward dan kelas kontrol.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik butir soal kemampuan matematisasi siswa dalam menggunakan modul komunikatif ditinjau dari validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda, tingkat kesukaran dan tafsiran persentase kepahaman dan keterbacaan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian evaluatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan program microsoft excel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Berdasarkan kriteria validitas butir soal diperoleh 6 butir soal 100% valid dengan interpretasi sangat tinggi 83% dan tinggi 17%; 2) Reliabilitas soal kemampuan matematisasi dikatakan reliabel dengan r = 0,98 dengan interpretasi sangat tinggi; 3) Daya pembeda keseluruhan butir soal berinterpretasi cukup; 4) Tingkat kesukaran diperoleh soal berintrepretasi sedang sebanyak 4 butir soal (67%) dan berinterpretasi sukar sebanyak 2 soal (33%); 5) Persentase kepahaman dan keterbacaan isi soal oleh siswa sebesar 66,7%.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a process that involves thoroughly evaluating information to make sound decisions. This skill enables students to systematically analyze problems, address challenges in an organized manner, formulate issues, and develop effective solutions. According to PISA results, the average mathematics score of Indonesian students remains below the international average. One significant aspect of mathematics learning, particularly in the affective domain, is the habit of mind, which supports the achievement of education goals. This study aims to assess students’ critical thinking skills and describe the critical thinking processes of Islamic junior high school students in solving mathematical problems in relation to their habits of mind. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. The subjects consisted of 48 eighth-grade students from an Islamic junior high school in Bandung, with the topic of relations and functions. Data were collected through critical thinking tests, habits of mind questionnaires, and interviews. The data were analyzed inductively to gain an in-depth understanding of students' critical thinking processes. The results showed that the average score of students’ critical thinking ability was 66%, which falls into the moderate category. Moreover, the critical thinking process in solving mathematical problems varied based on students' levels of habits of mind. Students with high levels of habits of mind. Students with high levels tended to demonstrate stronger critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of mathematical critical thinking and Self Regulated Cimahi 10 Public Middle School students, so that a learning approach is needed to overcome these problems. The alternative approach applied is the Brain Based Learning Model approach.The objectives of this researcher are: 1) to examine students' mathematical critical thinking skills; 2) reviewing the Self Regulated attitude of students who obtain Brain Based Learning learning with students who have expository learning; 3) examine there is a positive correlation between Critical Thinking with Self Regulated students who obtain Brain Based Learning and expository learning. The population in this study was grade VII students of SMP Negeri 10 Cimahi. The samples in this study were class VII-B (Brain Based Learning) and class VII-D (expository). The instruments used in this study were the Critical Thinking test and the student's Self Regulated questionnaire. The test used is a subjective type test (description). The way to analyze data is with IBM SPSS Statistics 18.0 for Windows. The results showed that: 1) the mathematical critical thinking ability of students who obtained learning based on the Brain Based Learning approach was better than students who gained expository learning; 2) Self Regulated attitude, students who get Brain Based Learning are better than students who get expository approach learning; 3) there is no correlation between critical thinking with Self Regulated students who obtain Brain Based Learning and expository learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the ability of creative thinking, to see the picture of self-regulated learning, and to analyze the effect of creative thinking ability on self-regulated learning through the implementation of the Scientific approach. This research method is a mixed method of insertion type. The research instrument used was a creative thinking ability test, observation, self-regulated learning scale, and interviews. The population in this study were students in a private high school in Bandung with a sample of 2 classes. The increase in creative thinking skills was analyzed by normalized gain scores, the description of self-regulated learning was analyzed by Post Hoc Tests, while the effect of creative thinking skills on self-regulated learning was used regression analysis. The results showed that the increase in the creative thinking ability of students who received the Scientific approach was better than the students who received conventional learning, there was no difference in the self-regulated learning of students who received learning using the Scientific approach and conventional models, and there was no difference the effect of creative thinking ability on self-regulated learning in learning with scientific approaches, and conventional ones.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kreatif, melihat gambaran kemandirian belajar, dan menganalisis pengaruh kemampuan berfikir kreatif terhadap kemandirian belajar melalui implementasi pendekatan scientific. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran tipe penyisipan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif, observasi, skala kemandirian belajar, dan wawancara. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik di salah satu SMA swasta Bandung dengan sampel sebanyak 2 kelas. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dianalisis dengan skor gain ternormalisasi, gambaran kemandirian belajar dianalisis dengan Tes Post Hoc, sedangkan pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kreatif terhadap kemandirian belajar digunakan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kreatif peserta didik yang memperoleh pendekatan Scientific lebih baik daripada peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, tidak terdapat perbedaan kemandirian belajar peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Scientific maupun konvensional, serta tidak terdapat pengaruh kemampuan berfikir kreatif terhadap kemandirian belajar pada pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Scientific, maupun konvensional.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of performance assessment tasks on mathematics learning outcomes, with particular attention to potential differences based on student gender. Employing a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control groups, 80 vocational pharmacy students in Bandung were divided evenly into experimental and control groups. The study aimed to evaluate whether performance assessment tasks improve mathematical knowledge, problem-solving strategies, communication skills, and attitudes toward mathematics, and whether effectiveness differs by gender. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results showed that while the experimental group's scores improved compared to the control group, the difference was not statistically significant for either male or female students. The most notable finding was a strong association between attitudes toward mathematics and learning outcomes, particularly among female students (r=0.878, p<0.001). These results suggest that performance assessment tasks show promise as a learning strategy, though their effectiveness requires further validation. The findings highlight the critical importance of fostering positive student attitudes in mathematics instruction to enhance performance. Study limitations include the small sample size and short intervention period. The study underscores the need to design learning approaches that balance cognitive and affective aspects, particularly in vocational education contexts.
