Abstract

The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Poso Regency tends to be low. Until this article was written, there were only 19 cases without a death case, of which 18 people have been declared cured and 1 person is still being treated. This condition causes people to be less disciplined in implementing 3M (using masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands). Regarding the use of masks, some argue that they do not have masks and some are not afraid of being infected. Therefore, this activity seeks to campaign for the Don't Slack! Discipline of Wearing Masks for the community goes through the stages of socialization and campaigning for the benefits of using masks, the right types of masks and how to use them, as well as the distribution of masks. This activity was held at 3 central places in Poso City, namely the Central Market, Kasiguncu Market, and the Welcome Kawua Statue. Campaign activities for the “Don't Slack! Discipline of Wearing a Mask” has succeeded in educating hundreds of citizens and distributing 1000 masks. It is hoped that with this campaign, people in Poso Regency will be more orderly in complying with health protocols for the prevention of Covid-19.

Abstract

The high prevalence of stunting has prompted the government to take preventive measures. One of them is the priority program for convergence to prevent stunting in villages through the Ministry of Village Regulation, Development of Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration Number 11 of 2019 concerning Priority for the Use of Village Funds 2020. This regulation was followed up by the formation of a Human Development Cadre (KPM) to carry out convergence activities for preventing stunting with 1 cadre of 1 village. The problem that occurs is the lack of provision for convergence activities for KPM. This community service activity aims to provide assistance to KPM in making proposals for convergence activities. This activity was carried out in Poso Pesisir District, Poso Regency in February 2020. The target audience was 13 KPM people and 13 village midwives. In this KPM mentoring activity, village cadres and midwives succeeded in making proposals for convergence activities to prevent stunting in the village. It is hoped that the village government will follow up the proposals for convergence activities to prevent stunting into village meetings and it is agreed to be budgeted for 2021.

The breastfeeding rate in Indonesia is 15.3%. Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Central Sulawesi in 2021 was 53.5% and in Poso Regency was 51.1%. Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Pinedapa Village, Poso Coastal District in 2022 was 57%. One of the causes of low breastfeeding rates in Indonesia is the lack of knowledge among pregnant women, families, and the community about the importance of breastfeeding. Abstract

Stunting is a national health issue with significant implications for the quality of future generations, making it a priority for the government at both central and local levels. This community service program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of mothers with children under two years old (infants) and posyandu cadres in Lembomawo Village, Poso Kota Selatan Subdistrict, on utilizing local food ingredients for supplementary feeding (PMT). Through counseling and cooking demonstrations, participants were introduced to three PMT recipes tailored to the food texture requirements of infants: 6–8 months (Bubur Singkong Kukuruyuk Saus Jeruk), 9–11 months (Nasi Tim Ikan Telur Sayuran), and 12–23 months (Tim Ikan Menado). Additionally, recipe books for local infant and maternal nutrition were distributed to mothers and posyandu cadres to serve as practical guidelines. The results of the program showed a significant increase in mothers' knowledge about the importance of supplementary feeding using local ingredients, from 23.6% prior to the intervention to 85.72% afterward.
