Abstract

Abstract

Abstract Data shows that the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still relatively high, namely 305 per 100,000, in South Sumatra itself, the latest data for 2021 is still increasing, namely 131 people (with an MMR of 85 people per 100,000 live births). According to a report by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), IMR in Indonesia is reported to be 16 per 1,000 live births (KH). The problems faced are related to the still high Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) due to a lack of public education and understanding regarding the importance of pregnant women. There is still a lack of knowledge regarding the importance of maintaining health and visiting for pregnancy check-ups. The solution carried out in community service activities is in the form of providing education related to efforts to improve maternal and child health. This community service activity aims to accelerate efforts to reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR), Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and improve the health status of mothers, children and community nutrition. Apart from that, this activity provides education to cadres so that later cadres can continue to provide educational activities in an effort to prevent maternal and child health problems. The benefit of carrying out this activity is that residents, especially mothers and children, know the importance of maintaining health to prevent maternal and child health problems, so that they can improve the health status of mothers, children and community nutrition. Abstract

WHO data and the Global Survey on maternal and Perinatal Health in 2021 amounted to 46.1% of all section cesarean births. Indications for section cesarea were mostly due to complications with a percentage of 23.2%. Sectio caesarea surgery causes pain and limitation in movement. One of the therapies to overcome postoperative pain after cesarean section is to do hypnotherapy. The study aims to determine the effect of Hypnotherapy on pain intensity in post Sectio Caesarea mothers at Dr. H.M Rabain Muara Enim Hospital in 2024. This study used a quasi experimental method with a one group pre test-post test design. The study was conducted in April-May 2024 with a population of all mothers post Sectio Caesarea who were treated at URK RSUD Dr. H.M Rabain Muara Enim as many as 27 respondents taken by accidental sampling method. Data analysis using the willcoxon test. In this study obtained the pain scale of post sectio caesarea patients before being given hypnotherapy most respondents experienced moderate pain as many as 20 respondents (74.1%), while after hypnotherapy most respondents experienced mild pain as many as 20 respondents (74.1%). The results of statistical tests with Wilcoxon obtained a value of p.value = 0.000 means that there is a difference in pain intensity before and after Hypnotherapy in post Sectio Caesarea mothers. Based on the research, it is concluded that there is an effect of hypnotherapy on pain intensity in post sectio caesarea mothers at Dr. H.M Rabain Muara Enim Hospital in 2024.

Abstract

The use of intrauterine devices (IUDs) as a long-term contraceptive method remains low in Indonesia despite their high effectiveness and durability. Mothers' knowledge and attitudes greatly influence their decision to choose IUD contraception. This study aims to determine the relationship between mothers' knowledge and attitudes and the use of IUD contraception in the working area of the Lumpatan Community Health Center in 2025. An analytical survey with a case-control design using purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 80 respondents (40 cases of IUD users, 40 controls who were not IUD users). Data were collected using a valid and reliable questionnaire with Chi-square analysis. 62.5% of respondents had good knowledge, 52.5% had a positive attitude, and IUD use was 50%. There was a significant association between knowledge (p=0.038) and attitude (p=0.020) with IUD use. Mothers with insufficient knowledge were three times more likely not to use IUDs, and negative attitudes increased the risk of not using IUDs by 5.3 times (OR=5.286). Knowledge and attitude play a crucial role in IUD use. Education and attitude interventions for mothers are recommended to increase IUD use.
