Abstract

Low back pain is a pain syndrome that is often felt in the lower back region accompanied by spreading to the legs. It is often associated with work-related musculoskeletal disorders. This condition is often experienced by the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurses, from mild to severe LBP, which may affect the productivity of work and physic of the nurses. Aim to analyze and explore the factors that affected the number of low back pain incidents in ICU nurses in hospitals in the Banten Province. This study used the correlational analytic method with a crosssectional approach. The study sample was 82 ICU nurses, obtained by total sampling. Data collection used the LKQ questionnaire (Low back pain Knowledge Questions) and observation sheets. Data analysis used the Chisquare and multiple logistic regression analysis with a prediction model.   Knowledge factor p (0.001), height p (0.021), night shift frequency p (0.003), and weight with a p-value (0.021) had a significant relationship with low back pain, whereas the ICU space environment factor p (0.668), work period p (0.462), and age p (0.079) did not have a significant relationship with low back pain. From related factors, knowledge had the most significant relationship with low back pain incident (OR = 38.62). This study has significantly proven that knowledge, height, weight, and frequency of night shifts affected the low back pain in ICU nurses. The nurse’s knowledge factor is the most influential factor of low back pain incident in ICU nurses. Increasing the ICU nurse’s knowledge about body biomechanics by following training  and developing  standard operating procedures. It is suggested to reduce the amount of excessive night shift burden ICU nurses, select and setting criteria for nurses working in the ICU.

Providing food that is expected to increase iron adequacy in adolescents is mung bean juice, because mung beans can prevent a decrease in hemoglobin levels. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of drinking mung bean juice on increasing hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls. The research is pre-experimental analytical research with a One group pre-test post-test design approach. The population in this study were all 12 young women at Al Hadi High School. The sample in this study was all 12 young women at Al Hadi High School Banten. The sampling technique is total sampling. The data analysis used in this research was the paired T test. The results of the study showed that there was a strong relationship between giving mung bean juice and increasing hemoglobin levels in young women (p=0.002). Adolescents are expected to have awareness and understanding of nutritional requirements as an effort to prevent anemia in adolescents and encourage young women to regularly consume mung bean juice.

Abstract

Hypertension is a common health issue among the elderly and significantly impacts their quality of life. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Benson relaxation technique in reducing blood pressure in elderly individuals with hypertension at the Sajira Health Center. Using a pre-experimental method with a pretest-posttest design, measurements were taken before and after the intervention. Seventeen elderly participants with a history of hypertension were selected through purposive sampling. The results showed a significant reduction in blood pressure after the intervention. The average reduction in systolic blood pressure was 25.765 mmHg (SD = 13.917) and diastolic blood pressure was 14.118 mmHg (SD = 7.944). A paired sample t-test showed a significance value of p = 0.000, indicating a statistically significant effect of Benson relaxation in reducing blood pressure. Benson relaxation is effective in lowering blood pressure in the elderly and can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy. The Health Center can incorporate this technique into educational and promotive programs for hypertensive elderly individuals.

Abstract

Abstract

Adolescents face increasingly complex mental, physical, and social health challenges in the digital era. Uncontrolled digital media use, academic pressure, and limited emotional regulation skills may affect adaptive capacity and resilience. Objective: This community service program aimed to strengthen adolescent resilience through an integrated approach combining mental health education, digital literacy, and physical activity at SMKN 1 Lebak Wangi, Serang, Banten. Methods: An educational and participatory approach based on digital well-being and resilience strengthening was implemented over six weeks involving 100 third-grade students. The program included the Digital Smart and Strong workshop and the Fit Mind & Body Challenge, covering digital literacy, emotional regulation, stress management, suggestive affirmation, relaxation, and structured physical activities. Evaluation used a one-group pre-test–post-test design with an adolescent resilience scale. Data were analyzed descriptively by comparing resilience scores before and after the program. Results: The mean total resilience score increased from 62.4 to 78.9, with improvements in emotional regulation, self-efficacy, and optimism. The greatest improvement occurred in emotional regulation. Conclusion: An integrated school-based approach may serve as a promotive and preventive strategy to strengthen adolescent resilience while promoting balance among mental health, physical health, and healthy digital behavior.
