Abstract

In July 25th, 2013 Indonesia for the first time provided rail link service from and to an airport. It particularly was operated from and to Kualanamu International Airport (KNIA), Deli Serdang, North Sumatera, which was also operated for the first time on that date. Managing the airport rail link service, a private company namely PT. Railink basically is the subsidiary company of PT. Angkasa Pura II (Persero) and PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero). The price of train ticket, in fact, is getting higher as time goes by. It is noted that the ticket price has increased from IDR 80K to IDR 100K since January 15th, 2015. Concerning this situation, this study is conducted to investigate the demand elasticity of the airport rail link service from and to Kualanamu International Airport as well as factors in taking the airport rail link. The result of the study reveals that the demand of airport rail link service as the impact of the increasing of the ticket price is inelastic since its value of elasticity reaches -0.38. The other result, moreover, finds six reasons influencing people to go with airport rail link: comfort, punctuality, speed or travel time, practicality, access to train station, and other modes? tariff.

Abstract

Salah satu contoh perkembangan teknologi dalam sistem pensinyalan di Indonesia adalah penggunaan fasilitas pendeteksi pada jalur rel. Alat pendeteksi adalah alat yang berfungsi untuk mendeteksi ada atau tidaknya fasilitas kereta api di jalur kereta api. Peralatan pendeteksi terbagi menjadi dua jenis, yaitu axle counter dan track circuit. Track circuit mendeteksi keberadaan kereta pada rel, sementara axle counter berfungsi menghitung gandar kereta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan sistem pendeteksian fasilitas yang sesuai dan sesuai dengan kondisi lintas Surabaya-Madiun dan mengetahui karakteristik untuk pemasangan fasilitas deteksi sesuai dengan jalur tersebut. Untuk mengetahui sistem fasilitas yang sesuai, kedua alat tersebut dianalisis dalam hal keandalan sistem, pengaruh lingkungan, kelebihan dan kekurangan, gangguan, pemeliharaan, dan operasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cara pendeteksian yang efektif dan efisien pada lalu lintas Surabaya - Madiun adalah pendeteksian fasilitas axle counter kepala ganda. Alat ini sangat cocok untuk dipasang di emplasemen.

Abstract

PT KAI (Persero) tidak pernah berhenti mentransformasikan dirinya. Transformasinya sangat diperhatikan ketika PT KAI (Persero) berada di bawah wewenang Jonan Ignasius. Edi Sukmoro kemudian melanjutkan transformasi. Beberapa peningkatan kualitas layanan di setiap stasiun kereta api membutuhkan apresiasi dari berbagai aspek. Saat ini, keamanan ditingkatkan, tiket lebih mudah didapat, dan perjalanan lebih nyaman karena kereta disediakan oleh AC. Namun, mengingat biaya yang diperlukan, pemasangan AC di semua gerbong kelas bisnis dan ekonomi tidak menerapkan AC sentral tetapi membagi AC seperti yang diterapkan di rumah atau kantor. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengkondisian udara yang paling efisien dalam mengonsumsi energi dalam kereta api, oleh karena itu, dilakukan. Studi ini juga menyelidiki pendingin udara yang paling efektif dalam pendinginan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi energi pendingin udara split lebih rendah daripada pendingin udara sentral. Mengenai kapasitas pendinginan, AC sentral diproduksi oleh PT INKA yang memiliki kapasitas pendinginan lebih tinggi daripada AC split.

Abstract

Upaya perintah dalam mencegah penyebarluasan penularan virus COVID-19 masyarakat diwajibkan untuk mematuhi protocol kesehatan. Program pengabdian masyrakat yang di laksanakan oleh Politeknik Perkereta Apian Indonesi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat untuk nenikiki kesadaran tinggi untuk memathui protocol keseahatan melalui Mencuci tangan, Memakai masker, dan Menjaga jarak (3M). Kesadaran masyarakat akan protokol kesehatan berupa rajin mencuci tangan, memakai masker dan menjaga jarak (3M) dapat mencegah penularan virus COVID-19. Selain kegiatan tersebut juga di adakan kegitan berupa donor darah untuk membantu rumah sakit dan puskesmas dalam menyediakan stok darah di masa pandemic. Metode pelaksanaan adalah dengan penyuluhan tentang perilaku 3M untuk mencegah penularan virus COVID-19, Pemeriksaan gratis dan donor darah, Dialog interaktif perilaku 3M dan praktik 3M untuk anak2. Kegiatan ini melibatkan seluruh masyarakat desa Manisrejo berjumlah 120 rumah tangga. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya 3M dan anak-anak mampu untuk melakuan 3M dengan benar.

Abstract

One example of technological developments in signaling systems in Indonesia is the use of detection facilities on rail lines. A detector is a device that functions to detect the presence or absence of train facilities on the railroad track. Detection equipment is divided into two types, namely axle counter and track circuit. Track circuit detects the presence of trains on the rails, while the axle counter functions to count train axles. This study aims to find a detection system for facilities that is suitable and in accordance with the conditions of the Surabaya-Madiun cross and find out the characteristics for the installation of detection facilities in accordance with the pathway. To find out the appropriate facility system, the two tools are analyzed in terms of system reliability, environmental influences, advantages and disadvantages, disruptions, maintenance, and operations. The results showed that an effective and efficient way of detecting traffic in Surabaya - Madiun was the detection of a double head axle counter facility. This tool is very suitable to be installed in the emplacement.

Abstract

PT KAI (Persero) has never stopped transforming itself. His transformation was highly considered when PT KAI (Persero) was under the authority of Jonan Ignasius. Edi Sukmoro then continued the transformation. Some improvements in service quality at each train station require appreciation from various aspects. At present, security is improved, tickets are easier to obtain, and travel is more convenient because trains are provided by AC. However, given the costs involved, installation of air conditioners in all business and economy class cars does not apply central air conditioning but divides air conditioning as applied in the home or office. This research is to find out the most efficient air conditioning in consuming energy in trains, therefore, it is conducted. This study also investigates the most effective air conditioning in cooling. The results showed that the energy efficiency of split air coolers was lower than central air coolers. Regarding cooling capacity, central AC is produced by PT INKA which has a higher cooling capacity than split AC.

Abstract

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) during 2019 and 2018 calculated that there had been 655 accidents at level rail crossings. Accidents often occur in high traffic areas such as the Telecommunication Signal Resort 4.6 SMT. So the researchers conducted research in order to find out the performance of the railway operating facilities under the auspices of the Telecommunication Signal Resort 4.6 SMT as well as public perceptions of its performance. Researchers used a sound level meter to measure the loudness level of the level rail crossings siren sound at the research location. Furthermore, it is compared with the standards stipulated in the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 44 of 2018. Then tested using Anova to find out whether the population mean will be of the same value using data from each population. Furthermore, an unstructured interview was conducted to hear the perceptions of road users on the performance of the operational facilities at level rail crossings which became the research object. The results showed that the five level rail crossings which were the object of the study had the loudness level of the siren sound below the set standard. In contrast, flat cross lights perform well. Meanwhile, the public perception of the operational facilities at level rail crossings is that they are functioning well. Keywords: level rail crossing, operating facility, railway

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan latar belakang adanya permasalahan semakin meningkatnya kecelakaan kerja dikarenakan resiko bahaya yang cukup besar di tempat kerja. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kesadaran penggunaan APD dengan benar sehingga meningkat pula kesadaran akan pentingnya K3.Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah sosialisasi. Sasaran sosialisasi ini adalah taruna dewasa program studi Teknologi Mekanika Perkeretaapian. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa masih terdapat beberapa peserta sosialisasi yang mempunyai kesadaran penggunaan APD yang kurang. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dimulai dari memperkenalkan kembali APD beserta penggunaan dan fungsinya. Selanjutnya dilanjutkan dengan gambaran resiko yang terjadi saat penggunaan APD tidak sesuai dengan ketentuan. Tahap akhir dilakukan adalah manfaat dalam K3 yang diperolah saat penggunaan APD tepat sesuai ketentuan.

Abstract

The train is one of the modes of transportation that has advantages compared to other modes of transportation, such as saving space, an elevated level of security, free from congestion, high carrying capacity, and environmentally friendly. One of the modes of rail transportation available at Daop 9 Jember is the Ranggajati Train which has two classes, namely executive and business. Because there are class differences, everyone has several factors in choosing the train class. Therefore, a search for the effect of variables with the selection of the Ranggajati train class will be carried. This in the future can be used as an evaluation material for PT. KAI to improve services and facilities according to the characteristics of each class. In this study, primary data collection was conducted using a Google form for passengers of the Ranggajati train in executive class and business class. The data processing and analysis method uses descriptive statistics to get an overview of the characteristics of the Ranggajati train passengers. Subsequently, calculations were done using binary logistic regression of selecting the train class. The result of the research obtained passenggers characteristics are dominated by men, 21-25 years old, work as student, travel neccesities for education, income less than 1.000.000, expenses for transportation 100.000 until 300.000, private vehicle owned motorcycle and car.
