Abstract

The availability of qualified human resources will affect the safety of rail travel. Guaranteed safety of this trip materialized from the minimum number of train accidents that occurred. In identifying the causes of train accidents, the human error factor is largely the main cause. This is what causes human resources to become an important concern in the operation of trains. Data were collected by using questionnaires consisting of perception questionnaire on railway safety and work stress. Interviews were used to complete the questionnaire results. Data analysis was done by regression analysis to know the influence of safety perception to work stress. The results showed that 77% of the respondents had low safety perception, while the other 23% had high perception of safety. As many as 70% of machinists have high work stress, while 30% have low work stress. Safety perception proved to be related to work stress experienced by machinist. This is indicated by a variable of -, 338 which states that the relationship between perception of safety proved to have a relationship with job stress of 0.338 with a negative relationship. This relationship analysis is evidenced by Pearson Correlation. Regression analysis obtained correlation coefficient of 0.114 which states that 11.4% work stress is influenced by the perception of safety

Abstract

English specific purpose (ESP) is a learner-centered approach to teaching English as additional language, which focuses on developing communicative competence in specific discipline such as academics,  accounting,  agrology,  business,  IT,  teaching,  and  engineering.  ESP  also  defined   to meet specific needs of learners. Accordingly, it is important for the  cadets  to  master  English  for railway in order to prepare them for English technical terminology in working area. This study aimed to identify the problem faced by the cadets of Indonesian Railway Academy and to develop glossary terms based on the cadets? need. In this study, the writer used research and development (R&D) design. It means that the study designed to develop materials for use in ESP program. The population of this study is the cadets of Indonesian Railway Academy.  The  number  of the  subject  was 35 cadets from electrical class. The writer used questionnaire and interview  to  gather  the  data. The result of the study showed that twenty cadets said that  ESP  is  difficult  to  learn,  they also said that there was different English for general  and  English  for  Specific  Purpose.  Fifteen  students  said that they enjoyed ESP program and they also  said  that English  is  important  to learn  to  get  a  job. The writer concludes that the cadets of Indonesian Railway Academy Madiun have to  develop their knowledge about glossary terms for railway to increase their vocabulary.

Abstract

Keselamatan perjalanan terwujud dari jumlah minimum kecelakaan kereta api yang terjadi. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh ketahanan terhadap keterlibatan kerja pada masinis yang bertugas di Stasiun Tugu Yogyakarta. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara untuk mendapatkan data awal dan meminta mengisi kuesioner yang disediakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 43% responden memiliki ketahanan rendah, sedangkan 57% lainnya memiliki ketahanan tinggi. Sebanyak 52% masinis memiliki keterlibatan kerja yang tinggi, sedangkan 48% memiliki keterlibatan kerja yang rendah. Korelasi di antara mereka berada pada tingkat moderat 0,627.

Abstract

PT KA Pariwisata terus melakukan inovasi untuk menarik minat pelanggan, salah satunya dengan memperkenalkan KA Priority. Pelayanan yang ditawarkan KA Priority khusus diperuntukan bagi penumpang yang menghendaki kenyamanan lebih selama perjalanan. Interaksi penumpang dengan layanan yang diberikan menjadi pengalaman tersendiri bagi penumpang. Pengalaman penumpang dapat dirasakan melalui pengalaman pribadi (customer experience) maupun dari pengalaman menikmati layanan selama perjalanan (service experience). Prestise menjadi pertimbangan tersendiri bagi penumpang dalam penggunaan suatu moda berkelas seperti KA Priority dikarenakan kemewahan fasilitas yang ditawarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel yang membentuk customer experience dan service experience yaitu sense, feel, think, act, relate, incentive, accessibility, convenience, utility, environment, benefit, trust dan prestise terhadap frekuensi perjalanan penumpang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuisioner kepada 150 responden dengan teknik random sampling. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya diolah dengan model regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap frekuensi perjalanan penumpang adalah sense, incentive, convenience, environment dan prestise

Abstract

Travel safety is realized from the minimum number of train accidents that occur. This study is to determine the effect of resilience to work involvement in machinists on duty at Tugu Station in Yogyakarta. The study was conducted by conducting interviews to obtain preliminary data and ask to fill out the questionnaire provided. The results showed that 43% of respondents had low resilience, while the other 57% had high resilience. As many as 52% of machinists have high work involvement, while 48% have low work involvement. The correlation between them is at a moderate level of 0.627.

Abstract

PT KA Tourism continues to innovate to attract customers, one of which is by introducing KA Priority. The services offered by Priority KA are specifically intended for passengers who want more comfort during the trip. The interaction of passengers with the services provided is a special experience for passengers. Passenger experience can be felt through personal experience (customer experience) and from the experience of enjoying services while traveling (service experience). Prestige is a separate consideration for passengers in the use of a classy mode such as the Priority Train due to the luxury of the facilities offered. This study aims to determine the effect of variables that shape customer experience and service experience, namely sense, feel, think, act, relate, incentive, accessibility, convenience, utility, environment, benefits, trust and prestige on the frequency of passenger travel. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 150 respondents using random sampling techniques. The collected data is then processed using multiple linear regression models. The results showed that variables that influence the frequency of passenger trips are sense, incentive, convenience, environment and prestige

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to seee the occupational commitment of facility maintainer at Balaiyasa Yogyakarta. The method used in this study uses data collection tools such as questionnaires and interviews. Based on data retrieval that has been done, it is known that as many as 85% of respondents have a high occupational commitment. The recommendation given to the facility maintainer at Balaiyasa Yogyakarta is to develop training that has been done. Some training that can be carried out based on the categorization of occupational commitment includes skills training, retraining, cross-sectional training, team training, information systems training and soft skills training.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of looking at the level of effectiveness of the balancing rotor on the turbocharger component and knowing the effect of the balancing rotor on the risk of damage to the turbocharger. The data used is primary data in the form of the results of the initial and final balancing of the turbocharger rotor. The data is used to determine the level of effectiveness of the balancing that has been done. Data from interviews with Yogyakarta Balaiyasa technicians will show how much influence the balancing has had on the balance of the rotor. From the results of data processing and analysis that has been carried out, it is known that the average percentage of balancing effectiveness on the blower is 91.5%, while the average percentage of balancing effectiveness on the turbine is 94.5%. So the average effectiveness of balancing on both the blower and turbine is 93%. The unbalance tolerance allowed in the balancing process is 0.56 grams. From the results of interviews with Yogyakarta Balaiyasa technicians, it is known that if the unbalance exceeds 0.56 grams it will result in several things including damage to the bearing in the long term because it holds the rotor rotation is not balanced and there is an unstable rotation so that the turbine and casing rub against each other and result in risk. cracked or broken.
