Abstract

Axle counter is an important component in controlling train traffic. So far, error counting and disturb disturbances can only be seen in the Equipment Room and require different handling. This study develops a tool that provides fast notification of the type of disturbance on the track to the Negative Check Officer (PNC) smartphone. This tool uses an atmega 2560, ESP8266 Wemos D1 Mini Pro, PC817 optocoupler, Light Dependent Resistor sensor, and an application created in Android studio. This study uses the Research & Development Method to produce and test the effectiveness of the product. After being tested 55 times, this tool was able to send disturbance notifications with 91% success. The average internet speed in the Equipment Room is 11.2 Mbps and on smartphones 10.10 Mbps. The average notification delivery time is 2.097 seconds. This system is expected to make it easier for PNC to handle disturbances on the track.. Abstract

Safety is still the main menu in the implementation of transportation in Indonesia. It is the 11th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In reality, this safety has not been fully achieved. Accidents still occur frequently in air, sea, land and rail transportation modes. Accidents at railroad crossings are still common, even involving young children. To mitigate this, the government is making efforts to improve safety at level crossings with several approaches, one of which is infrastructure development. This must also be supported by awareness and understanding of safety in transportation, especially trains. Not all people understand how to act safely at the station, inside the train, and at the crossing. For this reason, a comprehensive socialization of the railway safety campaign is needed to all levels of society. From the findings in the field, the understanding of teachers and kindergarten and elementary school students participating in education on railway safety both at the station, inside the train, and at level crossings based on the pre-test results is not too broad. Elementary school teachers had the highest average score of 60. In contrast, kindergarten students had the lowest average score of 12.72. In fact, many kindergarten children have never ridden a train. In addition, the impact of education on children's understanding of railroad safety both at the station, in the train, and at level crossings is very significant. The results of testing the difference in the average pre-test and post-test scores of participants with a paired T test showed that the test scores were different before and after education. So it can be concluded that education has an impact on the level of understanding of the participants.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bimbingan teknis dan penyegaran penjaga pintu perlintasan kereta api dilakukan di dinas perhubungan kota Garut dengan metode diskusi, simulasi, dan praktik kerja lapangan secara langsung. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan dan menerapkan prinsip keselamatan pada pintu perlintasan kereta api di wilayah kota Garut. Terdapat 20 peserta yang berpartisipasi sebagai petugas penjaga pintu perlintasan kereta api di wilayah kota Garut. Untuk mengetahui pemahaman hasil pembelajaran, analisis dengan metode Kirkpatrick Empat Level dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Kirkpatrick Empat Langkah menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan pemahaman peseta tentang tugas penjagaan perlintasan kereta api dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 81%.

Abstract

Early childhood education is the main education towards higher education. Early childhood education must pay attention to the maturity of children in all aspects of life. Knowledge and understanding of something can be instilled into early childhood by various methods. In instilling understanding in children through direct recognition so that children will be stimulated through hearing (auditory) and sight (visual). The introduction of means of transportation is usually an attraction in itself for early childhood. Transportation tools become easy to understand because they are often seen even using these means of transportation. The introduction of means of transportation is carried out through auditory, visual and psychomotor. Improved auditory and visual abilities are obtained by the method of telling stories about trains. Videos are also shown to facilitate the child's understanding. Increasing children's knowledge and psychomotor using field trips directly by train to gain experience

Abstract

This study examines the effects of financial incentives, performance appraisal systems, and employee recognition on work motivation among employees in start-up environments. Utilizing a sample of 300 start-up employees, data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS software. The results indicate that all three factors—financial incentives, performance appraisal systems, and employee recognition—positively and significantly influence work motivation, with financial incentives having the strongest impact. Interaction effects analysis further reveals that the combined impact of these factors is greater than their individual effects, suggesting a synergistic relationship. The study's findings underscore the importance of a holistic approach to employee motivation, integrating financial rewards, effective performance evaluations, and meaningful recognition to enhance motivation and organizational performance in start-ups.

Abstract

The importance of railway knowledge in the growing world of work, as well as the need to address the lack of understanding encountered among vocational students. The change from supply-oriented to demand-oriented curriculum is the main focus in improving vocational education. The Introduction of Railway Operation Facilities to Increase the Knowledge of Vocational Students in the Railway Field aims not only as a means of approach and promotion to the community about the existence of the Indonesian Railway Polytechnic Madiun campus, but also as a medium to escalate students' skills and knowledge in the field of railway operation facilities. This activity explains the legal basis related to railway operating facilities, including legal products that regulate operational aspects, safety, and optimization of all resources in the railway industry. In addition, it also explains about railroad operating facilities and their functions.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 is symbolized by innovations such as the Internet of Things (IoT), which drive efforts to integrate disruptive technologies like IoT, big data, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing into government initiatives to promote smart cities and enhance societal well-being. Therefore, this socialization activity was carried out using a lecture method on IoT (Internet of Things) and LoRa (Long Range) technology for industrial employees at PT. Wantech Indonesia. This initiative aims to equip industrial employees with knowledge of technologies that align with modern developments. This activity was spearheaded by lecturers from PPI Madiun as part of a community service initiative focused on raising awareness about IoT and LoRa technology. The program has yielded positive results within the community and has expanded knowledge regarding emerging technologies. During its implementation, industrial employees, in particular, showed great enthusiasm for the activity. The post-test results indicated that the material was well understood and effectively conveyed.

Abstract

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) launched "Access by KAI," an updated version of their "KAI Access" train ticket booking app. This study assessed user satisfaction with the Access app using Webqual 4.0 dimensions: usability, information quality, and service interaction. Researchers surveyed 400 users, analyzing their responses descriptively. The findings indicate a very satisfied user base across all Webqual 4.0 dimensions. Information quality received the highest average score, followed by usability, and then service interaction. Overall customer satisfaction with the Access app was also very high, surpassing the scores of individual dimensions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of users of goods delivery services by train at Madiun Station and to analyze the factors that influence the choice of goods delivery services by train at Madiun Station using the multinomial logistic regression analysis method. The results obtained are based on the characteristics of users of goods delivery services by train dominated by men with student status, last education is high school and monthly income is less than Rp. 1,000,000. Of the 5 factors studied, namely the price factor, location factor, security factor, timeliness factor and information availability factor. There are 4 factors that significantly influence the choice of shipping goods by train at Madiun Station, namely location factors, security factors, timeliness factors and information availability factors.

Abstract

Point machine or drive on the wesel is one of the external equipment on the railroad system that functions to move one line to another. There are two types, mechanical and electrical. Jakarta LRT uses an electric vane drive with the Voestalpine product name with the Unistar HR EM type. There is often a back failure disturbance caused by point machine no P1106. This study aims to analyze the cause of the reverse failure. Using two analysis methods, namely Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). The results found that the cause of the reverse failure at point machine no P1106 is from the detection switch component that occurs bad contact due to corrosion with the form of sparks.
