Abstract

Introductions : Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is one of the impacts caused by the use of IUDs, namely IUDs. The cause of UTI itself is dominated by the presence of microorganisms that infect the urinary tract. Pseudomonas is one of the bacteria that causes the third largest UTI after E. Coli and Enterococcus. Pseudomonas is capable of infecting the urinary tract when it is inserted, besides that the bacteria can also enter due to improper cleaning techniques. Mulberry leaves are believed to have antibacterial properties such as flavonids, tannins, alkaloids and terpenoids, which can inhibit the growth of bacteria. Methods : The method used in this study uses laboratory experimental methods, by measuring the cause and effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Using a post-test only control group design approach. Result : The results showed that there was an inhibition zone formed at the smallest concentration of 60% with the medium category of 8,4 mm and the widest inhibition zone was found at a concentration of 100% with the strong category of 12, 6 mm. The results of the analysis test using One Way Anova proved that there was a significant effect of giving mulberry leaf extract on the inhibition of Pseudomonas with a P value of 0.000. Pos Hoc’s test results showed the most influential concentration in each treatment, namely 100%. Conclusions : From the research results, it was found that concentrations of 100% were the most effective concentrations in inhibiting the growth of Pseudomonas bacteria.

Abstract

Previous research on the effectiveness of mulberry leaves in the growth of candida albicans showed that C. albicans is inhibited in vitro. Mulberry leaf extract is used as a basic ingredient for treatment. In addition to being tested for effectiveness, testing is needed to ensure the level of acute toxicity in experimental animals in determining toxicity levels. The study aimed to test the acute toxicity of mulberry leaf extract on Rattus Norvecigus media in determining the level of toxicity before becoming the basic ingredient of VVC antifungal. The research method uses an experimental laboratory post-test-only control group design with a 9 Rattus Norvegicus media. The average dose is not lethal using LD50 values. Research analysis using ANOVA is One Way to determine the difference in the average weight change of experimental animals. The study's results did not show any deaths of experimental animals or toxic symptoms in administering mulberry leaf extract doses of 0 mg, 100mg, 1000 mg, 1600mg, 2900mg, 5000mg. LD50 value more than 8g/kg BW, included in the non-toxic category (5-15 g/kg BW). The ANOVA statistical test showed a P-value of 0.781 more than a P-value of 0.05, that is, there was no difference in the average change in body weight in the experimental animal group given different treatment doses in each group. The research concludes that mulberry leaf extract does not show a lethal dose of acute toxicity, so it is safe to use as a basic ingredient in treatment sourced from natural ingredients.

Abstract

Women usually experience labor pain at certain times, and it often occurs near full dilation. Labor pain is the cause of discomfort in the labor process. Mothers try to overcome pain by checking themselves with the nearest health worker. Pain treatment can be done pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. Non-pharmacological treatment can be done by doing body movements and effluent massage. Body movements in the form of pelvic rocking and effluent massage. This type of research is a survey study with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The population used was 38 respondents, with a sample of 34 using simple purposive sampling. The measuring instrument used to measure was in the form of SOP and observation sheets. Furthermore, data collection was carried out. The data that had been collected was tabulated, scored, coded, and data analyzed using data normality tests, homogeneity tests, and data analysis tests using Wilcoxon signed. The statistical test results obtained a p-value equal 0.000, meaning the p-value less than a (0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that pelvic rocking and effluent massage have an effect on reducing labor pain.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in women and is the leading cause of cancer death in women in various parts of the world. Early detection is a crucial step in increasing the success of treatment and reducing mortality rates. One easy-to-do early detection method is Breast Self-Examination (BSE), which is an examination carried out independently, regularly, and systematically by every woman to find abnormalities or lumps in the breasts from an early stage. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to increase the understanding of mothers and young women about the importance of early detection of breast cancer through the BSE method. The activity was carried out in Pengaingan Hamlet, Bangkalan District, involving participants from among students of Madrasah Diniyah Al Munawaroh and local mothers. The methods used included interactive counseling, BSE demonstrations, and question and answer sessions. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge about breast cancer and their ability to perform BSE independently. It is hoped that this activity can encourage healthy living behavior and awareness of the importance of early detection as a preventive measure against breast cancer.
