Abstract

In the Implementation of image processing to translate the image of the numbered musical notation into a numerical character requires some initial process that must be passed like image segmentation process. The advantage of successful segmentation process is that it can reduce the failure rate in the object recognition process. Segmentation process determines the success of object recognition process, it takes segmentation algorithm that can perform accurate object separation. The combination segmentation process developed in this research used projection profile algorithm, watershed and non object  filtering. Profile projection algorithm is used to crop the image of the musical horizontally and vertically. The watershed algorithm is used to segment the numerical object of numerical notation generated from the projection profile process. Non object filtering is a continuation of the watershed algorithm that includes the non-object reduction process and the process of combining objects so that the original object segment will be generated. The based on the results of the research, the accuracy of the segment on watershed segmentation is 99.74% higher than watershed segmentation without combination of 94.82%.

Abstract

Abstract. Sorting is the most basic and important process in data processing. The sorting process on large data causes large computation. Some existing sorting algorithms need to be improved to further improve their performance. This study tried to develop an existing selection sort algorithm, into a selection sort hybrid algorithm that is expected to have better performance. Selection sort hybrid algorithm is an algorithm that combines both minimum and maximum searching techniques. It can find minimum and maximum values in the same time to sort from the both side of the data. Since it can be done separately, multithreading is used to do this job. So the sorting process can be done simultaneously. Several tests using different amounts of data have been conducted to compare the performance of the algorithms. The result is selection sort hybrid algorithm more efficient than the origin selection sort. Henceforth, the result obtained from the research can be used for various purposes related to data processing in informatics area.Keywords: sorting, selection sort, selection sort hybrid, computingAbstrak. Sorting atau pengurutan adalah proses yang paling mendasar dan penting dalam pemrosesan data. Proses pengurutan pada data yang besar menyebabkan komputasi menjadi tinggi. Maka beberapa algoritme pengurutan perlu ditingkatkan kinerjanya. Penelitian ini mencoba mengembangkan algoritme selection sort, menjadi algoritme selection sort hybrid yang diharapkan memiliki kinerja yang lebih baik. Algoritme selection sort hybrid adalah algoritme yang menggabungkan teknik pencarian minimum dan maksimum. Algoritme tersebut dapat menemukan nilai minimum dan maksimum dalam waktu yang bersamaan untuk mengurutkan data dari kedua sisinya. Karena dapat dikerjakan secara terpisah, maka teknik multithreading digunakan untuk melakukan pekerjaan ini. Jadi proses pengurutan data bisa dilakukan secara simultan. Beberapa pengujian menggunakan jumlah data yang berbeda telah dilakukan untuk membandingkan kinerja kedua algoritme ini. Hasilnya adalah algoritme selection sort hybrid lebih efisien daripada algoritme selection sort untuk semua kasus yang diberikan. Diharapkan hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk berbagai keperluan terkait dengan pengolahan data di bidang informatika.Kata kunci: Pengurutan, selection sort, selection sort hybrid, komputasi

Abstract

The education sector is one of the areas that has been most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Schools, which normally hold offline meetings, must now take place online. With this pandemic, the teaching process must be "forced" to be done online. The task model which is usually given in physical mode (questions on paper, done and collected) is no longer relevant to be done because of the limitations of physical meetings. On the other hand, students need an explanation from the teacher directly because they are used to the context of offline learning. Judging from the current level of smartphone ownership, whether owned by students themselves or their parents, we can use smartphone devices to help the teaching and learning process. But of course it requires technological literacy from the student side and the teacher side so that this teaching and learning process can be carried out properly. As a form of concern for the academic community of the Informatics Study Program at Sanata Dharma University to the problems that exist in the environment around the campus, we held training activities for making teaching media for State Elementary School of Timbulharjo teachers who ultimately played an important role in improving teachers' technological literacy in carrying out online learning. This activity had been carried out well offline in 2 stages, namely stage 1 on 9 and 10 June 2021 and stage 2 on 22 and 23 November 2021.

Abstract

Pelaku usaha kecil menengah (UKM) yang menjual sembako selama ini mengandalkan hubungan baik, dan kepercayaan dalam hal mengelola transaksi penjualan sembakonya. Sehingga, pencatatan data terkait transaksi belum menjadi kebutuhan, sementara usaha yang berlangsung sangat kerap dan rutin karena sembako termasuk dalam kebutuhan primer. Paper ini menyajikan usaha dalam rangka pengabdian masyarakat dengan mewujudkan suatu sistem pencatatan transaksi penjualan sembako toko Mr Blend berbasis web di pasar tradisional, yaitu di pasar Condong Catur, pasar Stan, dan pasar Sambilegi di wilayah kabupaten Sleman DIY. Sistem dikembangkan melewati proses survey di lapangan, yang hasilnya kemudian digunakan untuk tahap analisis kebutuhan. Setelah dapat diwujudkan desain sistem dalam bentuk diagram relasi entitas dan use-case, di tahap implementasi desain-desain sistem diwujudkan dengan mempergunakan bahasa pemrograman HTML dan MySql. Sistem menyediakan menu untuk mengelola data pelanggan, data sembako dan transaksi penjualan sembakonya. Sistem dapat diakses dari handphone sehingga memungkinkan untuk mencatat transaksi secara real-time di lokasi transaksi. Dengan sistem tersebut diharapkan mengoptimalkan waktu kerja pelaku usaha dan data yang terekam dapat dimanfaatkan untuk berbagai kepentingan guna pengembangan usahanya.

Abstract

Aksara Incung merupakan warisan budaya yang memerlukan upaya pelestarian melalui digitalisasi dan sistem pengenalan otomatis. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem pengenalan aksara Incung menggunakan metode Hidden Markov Model (HMM) dengan kombinasi ekstraksi fitur Intensity of Character (IoC) dan Mark Direction. Dataset terdiri dari 53 kelas aksara dengan 90 sampel citra per kelas. Evaluasi sistem dilakukan menggunakan k-fold cross validation (k=3 dan k=5) dengan variasi jumlah state 2 hingga 30. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi HMM dengan ekstraksi ciri IoC 5x5 dan k-fold 5 menghasilkan akurasi terbaik sebesar 82.94%, sementara IoC 4x4 mencapai 82.49% dan IoC 3x3 mencapai 78.13%. Metode Mark Direction menghasilkan akurasi yang lebih rendah, dengan nilai 43.40% untuk arah vertikal dan 32.85% untuk arah horizontal. Penggunaan k-fold 5 secara konsisten memberikan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan k-fold 3, sementara jumlah state tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap akurasi. Penelitian ini membuktikan efektivitas HMM dalam pengenalan aksara Incung, terutama ketika dikombinasikan dengan ekstraksi ciri IoC yang memiliki kompleksitas fitur lebih tinggi. Kata Kunci: Aksara Incung, Hidden Markov Model, Intensity of Character, Mark Direction, K-fold Cross Validation, Ekstraksi Ciri ABSTRACT The Incung script is a cultural heritage that requires preservation efforts through digitalization and automatic recognition systems. This research develops an Incung script recognition system using the Hidden Markov Model (HMM) method combined with Intensity of Character (IoC) and Mark Direction feature extraction. The dataset consists of 53 character classes with 90 image samples per class. System evaluation was conducted using k-fold cross validation (k=3 and k=5) with state variations ranging from 2 to 30. The results showed that the combination of HMM with 5x5 IoC feature extraction and k-fold 5 achieved the best accuracy of 82.94%, while 4x4 IoC achieved 82.49% and 3x3 IoC reached 78.13%. The Mark Direction method produced lower accuracy, with 43.40% for vertical direction and 32.85% for horizontal direction. The use of k-fold 5 consistently provided better results compared to k-fold 3, while the number of states showed no significant effect on accuracy. This research demonstrates the effectiveness of HMM in Incung script recognition, particularly when combined with IoC feature extraction that has higher feature complexity. Keywords: Incung Script, Hidden Markov Model, Intensity of Character, Mark Direction, K-fold Cross Validation, Feature Extraction.

Abstract

This community service project aims to introduce and implement Augmented Reality (AR) technology for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pentingsari Village, Yogyakarta, enhancing their promotional capabilities. The initiative involved local MSME owners, village officials, lecturers, and students collaborating to integrate modern technology with local wisdom. The project used methods such as presentations, discussions, and AR technology demonstrations to identify unique MSME products suitable for AR enhancement and develop tailored AR applications. The results indicate high enthusiasm among participants in adopting AR technology for their product development and marketing strategies. A user survey of the developed AR application showed an overall positive response, with an average rating of 4.26 out of 5 across various aspects, including ease of installation, operation, user interface quality, and 3D model display. This project demonstrates the potential of AR technology to boost competitiveness significantly and add value to MSME products in Pentingsari Village while highlighting areas for future improvement and expansion of the AR application to support local tourism and economic development further.

Abstract

Early childhood is a golden age to learn a language, not only the mother tongue but also a second or third language. However, learning media that can be used to attract children's interest in learning multi-language is still limited. Therefore, this study aims to develop a smart doll that attracts children to learn Javanese, English, and Indonesian. In particular, this media is intended to help children recognise colours in three languages. This research is developmental research with the following steps: First, collecting information about the product being developed, conducting a literature review and interviewing teachers and parents. Second, planning product design in accordance with the results of the needs analysis. Third, developing the initial product form. Fourth, conducting a preliminary field test on 3 children. Fifth, revising the main product. Sixth, field testing on eight children. Seventh, evaluate the testing result for the next development plan. The result of this research is a prototype of a smart doll that is able to recognize colours in 3 languages. Based on the field trials results, the prototype of this smart doll can attract children’s enthusiasm for learning colours and improve their ability to recognise colours in three languages. Some things that need to be improved will be discussed further.

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is a non-communicable disease that is often associated with metabolic syndrome (MetS). MetS is a group of abnormal conditions that include hypertension, obesity, and diabetes. Patients with MetS often require multiple drugs to achieve therapeutic targets, but poor medication adherence can lead to complications. Poor medication adherence can worsen the disease and increase hospitalizations. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether medication adherence affects metabolic syndrome outcomes. This study was conducted using a cross-sectional design and purposive sampling. Our respondents were focused on patients with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or dyslipidemia. Patients' adherence was measured using a self-made questionnaire. The study obtained data on the patient's lipid profile, HbA1c, and blood pressure (hypertension, diabetes, or dyslipidemia). The study used Spearman analysis to investigate adherence scores to lipid profile levels, HbA1c, and blood pressure. Therapeutic coverage was analyzed using a T-test. Confounding variables, such as age, HbA1c level, and blood pressure, were considered when analyzing the correlation between adherence scores and lipid profiles. The majority of patients were women or elderly, and more than 90% reported that their therapeutic needs were met. Total cholesterol and LDL-c significantly negatively correlated with adherence for patients' factor category, therapeutic regimen factor, and overall factor (p<.05). Triglyceride levels correlated significantly with adherence only to category interaction factors between patients and family/health workers. Regression analysis shows that all correlations are negative to total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglyceride levels (p<.05).

Abstract

Desa Pentingsari merupakan sebuah desa wisata, di lereng Gunung Merapi Yogyakarta, yang sudah dikenal masyarakat baik di tingkat nasional maupun internasional. Selain menawarkan keindahan alam, desa wisata ini juga menawarkan tempat-tempat bersejarah. Permasalahan yang dijumpai di Desa Pentingsari adalah kurangnya penggunaan teknologi digital dalam promosi potensi wisata yang ada. Salah satu teknologi terkini yang menarik untuk digunakan adalah Augmented Reality (AR). Akan tetapi, teknologi ini belum dikenal dengan baik oleh pengelola maupun masyarakat Desa Pentingsari. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan teknologi AR kepada pengelola wisata dan masyarakat Desa Pentingsari khususnya para pemuda. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini mengombinasikan pengenalan teknologi AR dan pengembangan aplikasi AR. Beberapa tahapan dilakukan, mulai dari identifikasi masalah, survei lokasi spot AR, pengembangan prototipe, pelatihan pengantar teknologi AR dan sosialisasi penerapannya, dan diakhiri dengan evaluasi kegiatan. Berdasarkan evaluasi, peserta pelatihan sangat antusias, bahkan pengelola sudah mempunyai gagasan baru untuk membuat rute wisata alam berbasis teknologi AR. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan PkM ini berhasil mengenalkan teknologi AR kepada pengelola dan masyarakat Desa Pentingsari.
