Abstract

The double burden of communicable and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) since the beginning of 2020 in Indonesia has put adolescents at risk of developing hypertension. The purpose of this community engagement is to promote the eagerness and ability of adolescents to prevent hypertension from an early age, as we observed the increasing self-efficacy and hypertension prevention practices. The health promotion program was carried out at Darul Ilmi Middle School, Depok combining offline and online activities with as many as seven sessions with the involvement of the school authorities. A total of 68 students were included in this program. The results of this Health Promotion Program were: the release of the School Internal Supervisory Team Certificate for the implementation of health promotion activities to prevent hypertension risk factors; health promotion videos that can be used as media for health promotion activities to prevent hypertension risk factors; hypertension screening amongst the 68 students showed that 5.9% had blood pressure 140/90 mmHg; increasing adolescent self-efficacy of 61.76% and adolescent hypertension prevention practices of 60.29% after the implementation of 7 sessions of health promotion program to prevent hypertension risk factors. School involvement strengthens the implementation of health promotion programs for adolescents.

Abstract

Background: Globally the prevalence of chronic diseases continues to increase every year. In 2021, it is estimated that around 43 million people will die from chronic diseases, with 73% of them being prevalent in low-income or developing countries. Purpose: To conduct an analysis related to the use of virtual and digital technology in reducing psychological problems in the elderly with chronic diseases. Method: This paper is a review of the literature related to the topic of the use of virtual and digital technology in the elderly with chronic diseases on its effect on psychological problems. The analysis begins with a literature search across several databases, including PubMed, Google Scholar, Sage Journals, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, and SpringerLink. The article search was conducted using the PICO form (P = Elderly with chronic diseases; (2) Intervention = Utilization of virtual technology, utilization of digital technology; (3) Outcomes = Reducing psychological problems, elderly rehabilitation). The author identified 33 articles for analysis and filtered them, resulting in 5 articles that employed the Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) research method. Furthermore, the author conducted an analysis using a critical appraisal form, namely the CASP (Critical Appraisal Skill Program) form. Results: The virtual technologies can minimise depression, anxiety, and increase self-efficacy in elderly people with chronic disease. The digital application technologies give a psychological impact based on the features and the basic purpose of making that application. Conclusion: Virtual and digital technologies have an impact on the psychological well-being of the elderly, based on the features that these technologies provide for them.

Abstract

Background: Current learning methods continue to develop, nursing students need effective learning methods to improve students' abilities and skills in achieving competencies, one of which is fulfilling human needs: oxygenation. Virtual care reality in 3600 video can be a real and concrete alternative learning method solution for students.Method: This research aims to determine the effect of virtual care reality in 3600 videos on skills in fulfilling basic human needs: oxygenation in nursing students. The research used a quasi experimental pre-post test design using a control group. The intervention group was given treatment in the form of Virtual Care Reality in video 3600 (VCR 3600) for 15 minutes at least three times in each video. VCR 3600 contains material about fulfilling basic human needs for oxygenation including suction, use of nasal cannulas, masks (Non-Rebreathing Mask/NRM and Rebreathing Mask/RM). Post-test measurements were carried out two weeks after the VCR 3600 intervention was carried out for the internalization phase first. The benefit of this research is that it is hoped that the VCR 3600 will be able to improve skills in fulfilling basic human needs: oxygenation in nursing studentsResults: The results of this study show that respondents are aged 18 - 20 years, with a median value of 19 years. The gender of the respondents was mostly female, the majority of respondents had never studied suction, the majority of respondents had never had experience studying material about administering oxygen therapy. The mean skills of suctioning and oxygen administration of respondents after the intervention in the intervention and control groups both increased. The results of further analysis showed that there was no significant difference in skills after the intervention between the intervention group and the control group (p value < 0.05).Conclusion: The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the skills of respondents after the intervention regarding suction and administering oxygen with standard precautions. Although there is no statistical effect of the VCR 3600 method on suctioning and oxygenation skills, the use of this method has the opportunity to increase students' knowledge and be used as a variation of practical learning methods.

Abstract

Background: Prevalensi diabetes melitus tipe 2 (T2DM) yang terus meningkat secara global menunjukkan pentingnya strategi manajemen berkelanjutan, salah satunya melalui intervensi manajemen mandiri berbasis komunitas.

Abstract

Background: Integrated primary care (IPC) is recognized as essential for strengthening health systems. However, Indonesia currently lacks a validated instrument to assess stakeholder support, which is a critical determinant of successful IPC implementation. This study evaluated the content validity, internal structure, and reliability of the newly developed Stakeholder Support Questionnaire for Integrated Primary Care (SSQ-IPC), grounded in Freeman’s Stakeholder Theory. Methods: A cross-sectional psychometric validation was conducted with 570 primary healthcare nurses recruited through stratified random sampling across Indonesia. The initial 18-item instrument, encompassing four constructs, underwent content validation by a panel of seven experts. Data analysis included calculating the Content Validity Index (CVI), conducting exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and second-order CFA. Model fit was assessed using multiple fit indices, while construct validity and reliability were evaluated through factor loadings, Average Variance Extracted (AVE), Cronbach’s alpha, and McDonald’s omega. Results: EFA supported a four-factor structure. First-order CFA indicated acceptable model fit (CFI = 0.933, TLI = 0.921, SRMR = 0.037), with all factor loadings statistically significant (p<.001) and strong indicator reliability. Convergent validity was established with AVE values ranging from 0.650 to 0.869, and internal consistency was high across constructs (α= 0.877–0.978; ω = 0.884–0.973). Second-order CFA supported a hierarchical model, with all four constructs significantly loading onto a higher-order factor. Conclusion: The SSQ-IPC demonstrates strong evidence of validity and reliability, supporting its multidimensional and hierarchical structure. This instrument provides a robust tool for research and practice, facilitating.
