Abstract

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has transformed various sectors, including tourism, where recommendation systems play a vital role in providing personalized services. Tourists are often faced with a wide range of destination choices, making decision-making increasingly complex. To address this, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) can be leveraged to enhance recommendation accuracy through deeper analysis of destination descriptions. This study proposes a tourism destination recommendation system combining IndoBERT, SimCSE, and TF-IDF methods. IndoBERT was applied to capture semantic and contextual meaning in the Indonesian language, SimCSE improved sentence-level embeddings, and TF-IDF extracted essential keywords from descriptions. The system was implemented on a website to generate personalized recommendations based on user input. Evaluation results demonstrated that the composition of IndoBERT and TF-IDF achieved strong performance, with precision, recall, and F1-score values of 1.0 at a similarity threshold of 0.20. However, higher thresholds reduced recall and F1-score, indicating that a lower threshold provided a better balance between accuracy and coverage. The recommendation outputs matched user preferences, and functional testing showed that all website features performed successfully. These findings highlight the effectiveness of combining semantic and keyword-based methods for tourism recommendation. Future work could expand the dataset, integrate user feedback, and benchmark against other state-of-the-art models to further enhance system performance.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how interpersonal communication is carried out in doctor consultations with patients via WhatsApp media. The method used in this research uses qualitative methods. The theory used in this research is Everret M Rogers' theory of diffusion of innovation which explains that society can accept communication technology as an innovation and spread it widely within that society. The research results show that in interpersonal communication between doctors and patients via WhatsApp media, health technology is a way to make their work more efficient. Currently the world is experiencing a digital era where all human activities use information technology. Almost all fields use information and communication technology for their respective interests, one of which is the health sector. Currently, interaction between patients and doctors no longer needs to be done directly—for minor illnesses—because of information technology. In this research, the author wants to know the effectiveness of using information technology, especially WhatsApp, in the consultation process for minor illnesses between doctors and patients at the Klinik Mitracheck. The author hopes that this research can determine the effectiveness of interpersonal communication felt by patients and doctors in using WhatsApp as a consultation medium.

Abstract

The contemporary era of openness has exerted a significant influence on social media platforms, particularly Twitter. This is mostly due to the platform's ability to facilitate the expression of opinions and the rapid dissemination of news by individuals. The act of expressing opinions necessitates the inclusion of the need to substantiate the validity of the information being conveyed. Data-driven information can be substantiated and expressed. During the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, a substantial amount of information pertaining to the coronavirus remains ambiguous or has yet to be definitively established. The prevalence of misinformation is on the rise due to individuals' acceptance and dissemination of false information without conducting thorough research to ascertain its veracity. Consequently, the dissemination of false coronavirus information on social media, particularly Twitter, has occurred.
