Abstract

Virtual exhibitions offer a promising avenue for art appreciation in the digital age. However, limited research explores how these online spaces can foster emotional connections with art, a crucial aspect of the art experience. This study investigates the potential of immersive virtual reality (VR) to enhance engagement and emotional impact in virtual art exhibitions. Employing a multi-method approach combining literature review, user testing, and prototype development, the research identifies and evaluates design elements contributing to increased user engagement. This research employed a multi-method approach to understand how users engage with virtual art exhibitions. The study identified and evaluated the impact of specific design elements on user engagement by combining a literature review, user testing with a VR prototype, and subsequent analysis. The study focuses on critical elements like interactivity, personalization, storytelling, and multi-sensory experiences. User testing with 55 participants revealed the effectiveness of immersive design in fostering exploration, contemplation, and a sense of presence in the virtual space. This immersive design is the strategic integration of elements like interactivity, personalization, and storytelling within the VR environment. The research underscores the significance of immersive design, defined as the strategic integration of design elements to cultivate an emotional connection within a VR environment. This encompasses aspects like interactivity, personalization, and the incorporation of storytelling within the experience. Finally, the study offers practical recommendations for curators and designers to create virtual art experiences that resonate more deeply with audiences.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat melalui skema PMUPUD dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi, mutu produk, dan kemandirian usaha mitra produsen alat musik rebana di Kabupaten Gresik. Analisis situasi menunjukkan bahwa UD. Rebana Gresik Tiga Putri dan Rebana Spesial Adnan Khozin menghadapi keterbatasan kapasitas produksi, distribusi barang yang tidak efisien, manajemen persediaan yang belum tertata, serta pemasaran digital yang belum optimal. Permasalahan prioritas yang dihadapi meliputi alur barang di gudang dua lantai yang masih manual, kebutuhan tambahan peralatan untuk gudang baru, pencatatan persediaan dan penjualan yang tumpang tindih, serta rendahnya pemanfaatan marketplace. Solusi yang ditawarkan mencakup rancang bangun Lift Barang, pengadaan kompresor 58 liter dan dua mesin amplas kayu, inventarisasi barang dengan kode/barcode, penerapan aplikasi Kasir Pintar dan Kledo, serta pendampingan pemasaran digital. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui perancangan, pelatihan, pendampingan teknis, dan evaluasi berkelanjutan dengan melibatkan mahasiswa. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas produksi hingga 40%, manajemen persediaan lebih tertata, penjualan online meningkat 20%, dan omzet mitra naik 15–36%. Dampak yang dicapai adalah peningkatan aset mitra, efisiensi operasional, kemandirian pencatatan keuangan, serta perluasan pasar melalui digital economy.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat oleh Mahasiswa (PMM) di Desa Cagakagung dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas BUMDes, PKK, dan tenant kuliner dalam mengelola sentra kuliner berbasis ekonomi hijau. Analisis situasi menunjukkan bahwa sebelum program, fasilitas kuliner masih terbatas, tata kelola BUMDes belum optimal, serta tenant kurang terampil dalam manajemen usaha, keuangan, dan pemasaran digital. Permasalahan tersebut diatasi melalui penerapan teknologi berupa penyediaan delapan unit rombong, meja kursi, lesehan, alas sintetis, dan lampu hias, serta pelatihan dan pendampingan intensif mencakup penyusunan business plan, akuntansi digital berbasis android dan QRIS, manajemen produksi, pelayanan, pemasaran online–offline, pembuatan konten media sosial, hingga fasilitasi legalitas usaha berupa NIB dan sertifikasi halal. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan aset BUMDes sebesar 12%, kenaikan pendapatan tenant rata-rata 30%, peningkatan omzet hingga 40%, serta peningkatan keterampilan manajerial tenant dan PKK mencapai 60%. Luaran program berupa artikel ilmiah, publikasi media massa, video dokumentasi, dan poster publikasi. Program ini terbukti mampu memperkuat kapasitas kelembagaan dan usaha kuliner desa, serta direkomendasikan untuk dilanjutkan melalui diversifikasi produk, digitalisasi pemasaran, dan penerapan konsep green foodcourt yang dapat direplikasi ke desa sekitar.

Abstract

Studi ini merupakan evaluasi proyek perancangan partisipatif yang melibatkan mahasiswa arsitektur semester dua Universitas Ciputra (UC) bersama Pondok Alam Adat Budaya Nusantara (PAABN) di kawasan warisan budaya Candi Jolotundo, Jawa Timur. Proyek ini bertujuan merancang gazebo modular ramah lingkungan yang responsif terhadap topografi curam, keterbatasan lahan, serta nilai budaya dan spiritual setempat. Proses perancangan dilakukan melalui pendekatan problem-based learning yang mencakup observasi tapak, pembuatan prototipe secara iteratif, serta evaluasi kolaboratif antara mahasiswa, dosen, dan mitra komunitas. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya perbedaan fokus penilaian, yakni dosen cenderung menekankan aspek kreativitas dan inovasi, sedangkan mitra lebih mengutamakan fungsionalitas praktis seperti simbolisme bentuk atap, orientasi ruang, dan kemudahan konstruksi. Selain menghasilkan solusi arsitektur yang kontekstual, studi ini berhasil mendorong pemberdayaan komunitas serta meningkatkan kesadaran perilaku pro-lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, studi ini merekomendasikan integrasi nilai masyarakat dan kearifan lokal ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan arsitektur. Langkah ini penting untuk memperkaya standar akademik dengan praktik yang relevan secara budaya dan selaras dengan norma sosial masyarakat yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Every product which launched would definitely need a promotion to introduce its products to the society. In the promotion itself, there are various strategies and media to support product promotion. Multimedia is one of the media promotion which is widely used to help in providing information towards products. Flashcards is one of the edugame products which serves to sharpen children’s ability in various aspects such as motoric, visual, and verbal, and encourage children to be more proactive. Besides, flashcards can also become medium for the parents to be more involved and interact with their children. In the product "flashcard little learner", one of the promotional media used is multimedia. Multimedia Media is used since it is an effective means to help deliver message to the audience. This research discusses the effect of multimedia as a means of delivering information and promotion towards products, especially edugame flashcard products.

Abstract

Product of illustrated story book for children are very commonly found. In the illustrated story books, there are 2 elements, namely image and text. The image content keeps the child interested with the book as well as helps to tell the event that happened. Existing text describes events and stories. This research discusses the product development of an illustrated story book entitled “Senja” into children's animated video stories. This research uses the research and development methodology. This research was limited to discuss on how to process existing data and images into animation and then merged with narration, background music, and put together to form animated videos. This study also discusses whether additional scenes are needed to improve the storytelling quality in animation. The results obtained from this study that the existing image assets in the illustrated children's storybook can be processed and developed into decent children's animated video stories by adding scenes to support storytelling. Background music that suitable with the scene was also needed to build the atmosphere in the animated video. Narration was also needed to strengthen the scene and storytelling.

Abstract

Mahapatih Gajah Mada was a great figure who united the archipelago in his time, but no statues have been found that depict the figure. Archaeologists disagree on the accuracy of the human head statue artifact referenced by Mr. Muhammad Yamin, as it does not have any markers that indicate it is a statue of Mahapatih Gajah Mada. To design an accurate visualization of the character design of Mahapatih Gajah Mada, this design is divided into 2 stages: data mining and character design. Data mining involves a data search related to Mahapatih Gajah Mada and culture during the Majapahit Kingdom Era. Character design involves designing the character design of Gajah Mada using data from the references that have been obtained. Data searches have revealed that Mahapatih Gajah Mada is likely to be the Brajanata/ Kertala character in the Panji story and the Bima character in the Mahabarata story. The character has a large, tall body, strapping, crossed mustache, and wavy curls, using a headdress in the form of a foreheadband with carvings, upper arm bands made with snake motifs, a belt with a Kala head patterned buckle, and an upawita (caste rope) that crosses from the left shoulder to the right waist depicting Gajah Mada's caste. For weapons, Gajah Mada carries a keris with a cundrik type (not notched) and an oval mace, which means that Gajah Mada is one of Lord Vishnu's attendants who has a guardian nature. The design of the oval mace takes reference from door guard statues. Keywords: Character Design, Gajah Mada, Majapahit kingdom
